Great place to get burgers around Renton, quick and friendly service. I got the clam strips and chips and they were good, I enjoyed how big the pieces were but the pieces were pretty chewy. The burger itself was pretty flavorful and large for a good price. Overall, I recommend and I would come back.

Some of the best burgers around East Renton Highlands without a doubt!

Yum yum! Growing up in Renton, I never thought there was a solid burger spot. But now that I'm back up in these neck of the woods, I've discovered Red Wagon Burger and it does not disappoint! I enjoyed it here. Their 1/4 pound cheese burger was delicious. Great patty with the perfect amount of texture on the bun. And deliciously crunchy and seasoned fries. And the prices are fairly reasonable albeit since the burgers are huge. The service was also fast and sweet which I loved and it seems like a solid family run establishment that cares for its customers. This is an awesome addition to the East Renton Highlands area and I'll definitely back again for a delicious burger.

I was really surprised by how much we enjoyed our burgers. I was prepared to have a mediocre burger but they really delivered on flavor here. Our food came out so piping hot and fresh, I almost burned my tongue on my steak and cheese. Not complaining at all! Onion rings and fries were good but nothing special. The burger was so juicy and delicious. Definitely will be back! My only complaint is there no pricing on the menu board or on their printed menus. So I had to ask how much everything was. Kind of frustrating when you're on a budget. They did have daily specials posted on paper by the register and those were a great deal. We will definitely be back. A great local spot. Very clean inside and good customer service.

I was doing some grocery shopping at Viet Wah and got hungry. Noticed Red Wagon the last couple times I've been down there so decided to give it a shot. I'm so glad I did! I got the 1/4lb bacon cheeseburger and it was fantastic! Patty was hot and juicy, veggies were crisp and fresh and well composed. Price was also reasonable considering a burger at Jack and the Box is around the same price. The only critique I have is that the onion was a little thick. Will definitely be back again!

It doesn't matter how you have the burgers here, they're all just so good! This is my second time eating here and I loved everything about it, though I did take out this time. There's ample seating inside though the place does feel quite small. There's a counter nearby where you can grab utensils, napkins and even gloves in vase you don't want to eat your burger with your bare hands. You can order either at the register or at the nearby kiosk. Either way, the order comes out very fresh and the servers are very respectuful of preferences in your burgers! This time I got their Red Wagon bacon cheese burger with a side of cheese sticks. Even when the burger got a little squished when bringing it back to a friend's place, the burger was still top notch! The burgers can get very messy but that of course doesn't matter here. This place is pretty much my #1 spot for an awesome burger! They have another location in Puyallup if you want to satisfy your cravings but somehow end up much farther south from Seattle.

What a pleasant surprise!! I drive by this place all the time and finally decided to give it a try. I was hesitant when walking in as the place was empty at lunch time. But I put my hesitation aside to support a local business. That place was clean, well maintained and smelled like a burger joint! A pleasant woman was running the place, took my order and I grabbed a table. A few minutes later one of the tastiest bacon cheeseburger I have had was put in front of me on a wooden plate with a basket of perfectly cooked fried. Brioche bun was soft. Bacon was REAL bacon, not that precooked garbage. The "special sauce" was tasty. The burger itself was cooked well and still juicy. Fry basket was a nice touch. I can't imagine how hard running a small business like this must be, so mad props for not going cheap on the final product. I was about to say the cost was a high, but the more I thought about it, it was only a few bucks more than Mickie D's. It was SOOO worth it!! Keep up the great work RW Burgers!

This place kicks ass from the service to the fresh food to the to the location. Ambiance Meh but overall 5 stars . Great food decent prices great quality. The main counter guy always friendly and good recommendations of food and other items . If you're not going there I recommend everything especially the shakes .

Wanted to confirm that my first visit wasn't a fluke. I have to say it was not. Everything the second time around was better than the first time I came in. Hands down, the best French fries in the state! Burger so good, it's hard to find any flaws with it. Happy employees, satiated customers, and one clean burger spot. Well worth the trip into Renton to eat.

I didn't really want to try this place, because I like to stick to the same burger joints. But, the bacon cheeseburger was good and it is huge! The service was great! Very nice people!

After hearing so many raves about this place on the neighborhood site and FB, we trekked our way here to try it out. Upon entering, you can order from the kiosk or the employee to the left of the store. We opted for the kiosk ordering as we like to input the order without feeling like an inconvenience for not knowing what to order. There was a few tables to dine in at, if you choose to. The establishment is pretty clean. It didn't take too long for the food to come out. The employees was really nice. Everything was good, except my burgers felt heavily salted, so it didn't make the burgers as enjoyable. Almost as if someone got heavy handed on the seasonings so that was a little disappointing. The portions was decent sized. It will probably be a while before we return. Hopefully it was just a fluke.

Came to eat a Red Wagon Burger w my girlfriend. It's a perfectly shaped burger!!!

I came here to eat Red Wagon Burger with a friend for the first time. We simply ordered one hamburger each. There were tables and chairs inside the store, and there were several customers inside. The hamburger arrived in perfect shape. I cut it in half with a knife and it was easier to hold and eat. Burger taste was good! However, no services are provided here. I don't understand why I was asked to tip since everything was self-service.

Right now I would say one of the best burgers in Washington state. The only thing I can think of to make the burgers even better is cooking it was an open pit. Don't let the place appearance fool you it's all about the burgers.

A fantastic example of a great restaurant with an owner that can't get out of the way. From the…read morereviews and ranking on Google I had very high expectations and drove from my hotel in Tukwila to see this place and overall was very disappointed. The core of this restaurant and its food is great. Fresh meat burgers, grass fed, cooked and ground to order paired with the best possible pairings. The spirit of this restaurant is phenomenal and if someone else were to come in and buy them out and maintain the same business model I could see this restaurant being massively successful as a quick service restaurant model similar to Five Guys or In-and-Out. The *idea* is great. The reality is not. I get the feeling this restaurant has been in a long decline after reading a lot of other reviews and noticing trends. Like other people have mentioned, I walked into the owner at a table using it as an office space on his laptop. Not a great look, especially with the exterior looking how it does, but it's a hole in the wall restaurant from a self made chef who started off in a food truck - best things come in small packages right? I understand not having investment capital or lease permissions to do certain things. The place is empty, just us and the owner at the table. He takes our order, but not before launching into the sales pitch about how good his food is - once again, I get it. I worked in hospitality and restaurants a long time and have been the guy trying to hype up my restaurant or catering service before. He was nice, but his sales pitch quickly turned uncomfortable as he started deriding and complaining about just about everything related to the modern world and food systems, using each grievance as an opportunity to pat himself on the back. It was uncomfortable to say the least - I came for a burger, not a Dr. Oz segment. This continued across the entire meal, and despite trying to give every polite social indicator we weren't interested in talking to him, continued to talk, even after extended periods of silence. Anyway, we ordered the Taco Burger, Luxury Mushroom Burger, and a large order of fries. To start with the good - the fries were delicious, if slightly over salted. They were crispy and well done (A personal favorite, but some may not like that) and the roasted garlic aioli was absolutely phenomenal. The cheese on the burgers was awesome and just this massive blob of pizza commercial stringy goodness. The truffle burger wasn't over-truffled, which is always a risk with truffle products and overall was really great - and the texture of their burgers is something really special. The grind is very lean and almost coarse or shredded, which makes for a really great burger that constantly reminds you that it is a ground steak, not commercial ground beef. However, the food wasn't without faults - the biggest issue was that on the bottom of the taco burger's bun there was a chunk of raw meat smashed into it - not rare or blue, but never-has-seen-fire raw pink ground beef. Not really being that scared of raw meat I didn't say anything but just tore it off and made a hole in the bun when I saw it, but having worked restaurants that's a pretty massive mistake as raw food and prepared food shouldn't be sharing surfaces without sanitizing much less touching. Beyond that, the burger itself was extremely salty, which I'm normally the type of person that likes really salty foods, but it was overwhelming with the taco seasoning just all over it. The other issue I had with it was that the toppings were just kind of indistinguishable, and the whole thing very much just tasted like straight taco seasoning - which made sense once given the context that he made the taco burger "as a joke". Also, the burger was not consistently cooked, with one side being medium and the other side being rare (the color of my husbands burger that was ordered rare) If there was a 2.5 rating, that's what I would give it. To me, a 2 is a restaurant I wouldn't voluntarily go back to but if someone wanted to or it was the only option I would and a 3 is a restaurant that I wouldn't go out of my way to go to, but would maybe stop at if I was in the area or it was convenient. This is somewhere inbetween that. I want to give them another chance and I might - but the cross contamination and horribly uncomfortable experience make me hesitant to try it again - *especially* after seeing how this owner interacts with other bad reviews on Google.

I remembered Salty Blue was on my list and they had a front patio, so that was THE CHOICE! We found a small table for two right outside their window, just in the shade- perfect for me and my husband. I ordered the cod (battered) fish and chips, I wanted to go simple my first time. When it arrived at the table, it was a huge piece of fish sitting atop plenty of fries! The crispy batter stayed on the fish as I ate- a big plus. I enjoyed it with malt vinegar and an incredible sauce full of dill, and I LOVE dill. The fries were good but slightly soggy, maybe from the fish sitting on top, perhaps I'll immediately push them to the side next time. My husband got the grilled Mahi Mahi with chips. It looked beautiful and he said it tasted wonderful, even without any sauce or condiments. The servers came outside to check on us a couple times, which was much appreciated! We had our meals with a cold pint of beer each and just loved having delicious food while relaxing in the warm air on a sunny day. One of my favorite things about the food is that you can choose to have your fish & chips either grilled or battered and either with fries or salad. It is very bright in here for both the dining area and the kitchen, and there are tables for mostly groups of 2-4 people. Once you place your order up at the counter, you can pick up napkins and get condiments like ketchup before your order number on your receipt is called by staff. From all my visits here, you get your food in a brown paper bag whether you choose to dine in or do takeout. In this case, I got a little bacon cheeseburger with a side of little fries, and dang all of this was stuffed into a brown paper bag too and felt pretty heavy. When I got home and opened the bag, there was indeed a ton of fries along with the burger itself. The patty is juicy and full of flavor, and condiments did not fall out as easily from the sesame buns. I only got some of the condiments for this burger and forgot to ask to have it "all the way," which essentially means having everything listed on a list of condiments in my burger. Regardless of that, burger was still really good! They also list on a paper near the front counter the vendor where they get their potatoes for their fries, which I found pretty cool. I haven't been much into burgers lately but this place can do a mean one and still continues do so. I'll be back here whenever I'm close to the area and want something quick to eat!
