You get exactly what you expect Haven't been to this place in a while since we moved out of Clinton. Went back today and damn it is still good. The blizzards are fantastic and they have a new one called midnight truffle. I love the chocolate extreme but this one might be my new favorite, An excuse to gain even move weight at this place. My family and I went to this DQ today .My sons both ordered the crispy chicken sandwich combo both chicken sandwiches were raw. I brought them back to tell them and asked for refund the manager only wanted to refund me for the sandwiches instead of both full meals. After a brief a argument she finally gave a full refund for the full amount. We will never go back there. The manager should have had no issues with giving a full refund. We love this DQ location and actually think it has the best ice cream of all the DQs in the area. If there is a line the staff cranks and the line goes very quickly which is a plus. Very friendly staff, there is parking and tables outside. No indoor seating. They do have hot food along with all the ice cream assortments. Employees were fantastic. Blizzard's were delicious. Multiple children under the age of 10 behind the counter, major OSHA violations! Even if they were the owner's family, they should know better- especially when it involves food and drink. The children were touching the cones and another was trying to dip their ice cream into the chocolate well. The mother/wife came over to help the child, but all this impeded the workflow of the employees (all of whom remained professional and whose focus was 100% on customer satisfaction). Steve is the rudest person. My family and I went in a couple of weeks ago and were greeted and served at the ice cream counter a friendly, polite young lady. Then my family wanted food so she very nicely directed us to the food service side of the restaurant and told Steve, who was working on the register drawer, that there were customers that wanted to order. He says, "well they're just going to have to wait" very rudely. Things went downhill from there. I'm not going to recap the rest of the conversation. I just wanted to put this out there. The manager is very kind and they all seem to keep a level head even through the night time rushes which can create a line out the door. Went into this Dairy Queen to buy a cake and one of the employees told me not to keep the door of the freezer open, we said well how are we supposed to pick out a cake if I can't open the door to find the one I want. He then said well your letting all the cold air out and it will get warm in there, we had the door opened for probably a whole 30 seconds. Extremely disappointed in the lack of customer service at this location. If i could give a zero star review i would. We ordered a mango pineapple smoothie and received a cup of milk with crushed ice, absolutely no flavors were added. When it was brought to the ice cream professional's attention they assured us it was made correctly even though it was clear that it was not seeing as the creation we were handed was white and not the typical orange color like we normally get. Not once did anyone apologize for the mistake or offer an alternate beverage to see that we were satisfied. Instead, made us PAY for another treat. $10 and much aggravation later we agreed that this is not longer our go to location. I'm not sure who raised/trained these teenagers, but they never got the memo that regardless of the situation, the customer is always right and you should do whatever you can to fix their experience to assure they return. I live in the area and purchased an ice cream cake for my daughter's 13th birthday a little over one week ago. The cake itself was decorated beautifully, and tasted good. (We've purchased quite a few ice cream cakes over the years for all of my kids' birthdays (I have 3 children). The reason I am rating this one star is the customer service. I called this business a few days before the party, and was asked to call back, as they were busy setting up for the day, so could not take my order at that time. I had time available the next day to call to order the cake, which I did. I indicated that I had a coupon, found in the local flyer, which I would be giving to them. On the day of the party, at the last minute, I needed someone else to pick up the cake for me, as there were some unexpected things which came up for me. They would not give me the discount unless the paper coupon was presented. When I spoke with `Allison', she indicated she was well aware that there was the $3.00 coupon off blizzard cakes in the local flyers, however did not know how she could process this without the actual coupon in hand. Really, DQ, in this day and age, with internet coupons, and technology, knowing what coupons you have out there, you could not process a $3.00 coupon, for a cake priced over $30.00??? She did tell me she would give me the money off the cake, if I came to the store in the near future with my receipt and coupon, however, this was not going to work out for me in the near future, due to our plans. We have gone here multiple times, and purchased many cakes from therm - NEVER again!! I have ordered from the North Haven store in the past, and will never give them any of my business again! Just the principle of this transaction ruined it for me. Would much rather go to Lenny and Joe's in Madison, who has better soft serve ice cream! read more
