Ever since the start of the pandemic, I have tried to go to restaurants that are on the cleaner side, and I have to say that this place is definitely on the top of my list. I mean I had no idea that a restaurant, let alone a fast food restaurant, could be so clean. Every time I go, everything from the floor to the tables and seats to the doors always look super clean. I pretty much never see trash or scraps of food anywhere, probably because I see employees cleaning the tables and sweeping the floor all the time. Even the bathroom is super clean, which is honestly shocking in a good way given that fast food bathrooms are typically pretty disgusting. I definitely appreciate the fact that this Dairy Queen appears to make cleanliness a top priority. Not to mention the quality of the food has always been great and is definitely the best out of all the Dairy Queens I have been to. The hot food is always super fresh and tasteful, which cannot be said about most fast food places. Even more expensive restaurants are getting more and more inconsistent when it comes to freshness and food quality, but not this place. The employees have also been great to interact with every time I have come here. Unlike a lot of other fast food restaurants, the employees are always very nice and friendly, so that is a huge plus as well. This could possibly be my favorite Dairy Queen I have been to. This one actually has good friendly mannered customer service . I see employees are keeping it clean and shiny. Restrooms are clean which is good compared to other chains of restaurants. It was not loud or crowded it was nice to sit down and eat my food. Which by the way came out at a good time . My favorite part is and always will be the dessert. I got the M&M blizzard and it never fails . I like the vibe going on with the pictures hanging on the wall. It seems the owner has been here for over 36 years and she has pictures from throughout the years and it just has a very nice warm welcome. I do not care how good the food is here. I want to draw attention to the way this owner operator, pat, treats her employees. These are essential workers risking their own health to serve you fast tasty food. This woman is a tyrant. She has zero respect when interacting with these young employees. She screams and yells and threatens to fire them . she comes in with nasty moods and inflicts her mood onto these kids. I worked for her in 1998. She tried to fire me for missing a meeting. During this meeting I was in the ER having a miscarriage. My daughter was currently employed for this past year. Pats behavior has become worse. Its unfair and its disgusting. I can honestly give this Dairy's Queen 5 stars!! It's so clean and tidy it's amazing on how much the employees check up on the cleanliness of the lobby. The restrooms I just have to tell you never disappoint me. Clean clean clean. Now let's get to the food. They took my order so well and repeated it back and I ordered ice cream as well. They offered to bring my ice cream when I'm done with my food and I just thought that was so nice because I didn't even think of that. The food was good and the staff was so friendly. The Dairy Queen in LA Porte Texas is awesome. The manager Pat is so sweet to all her customers. She is always giving out special treats to the children that come in. She loves kids. Her Assistant Manager Felicia is do friendly and customer focused. The food is always hot and fresh and the restaurant is spotless. Pat takes pride in making sure everything is clean, from the bathrooms to the garbage cans and especially the dining area. There is plenty of parking and easy access to the building. I came in for my Lunch and of course I got my Lunch special which is a pretty good deal. Walking into the store you automatically notice it's clean and the cashiers were quick to help me and offered me the meal deal . Fast and friendly service is always good service to me. My food didn't take long and it came out hot taking my Sundae to go and I love how it looks very neat. Of course I had to stop by the restroom sorry but hey it was clean and smelled good. In all the time I have worked for Pat, she has gone above and beyond to help and work with her employees. Even to the point she makes special arrangements for an employee to where they could work. She tries her best to help when she can but only to a certain point though. She still has hold employees to standards and does get upset when employees don't or refuse to follow the rules that even she has to follow. She has never been unreasonable to work with and takes care of her workers especially during these weird times that we are in. read more

I'm an employee that works here I've been working for her for 6 years and never had a problem with our boss shes amazing, she doesn't threaten to fire her employees if anything she treats us like were her kids. I love her with all of my heart she works hard to make sure we are tooken care of along with the customers. She is stocked with her hand sanitizer she makes sure all the employees wash their hands thoroughly. She still keeps diner sanitizer and everything clean.
