I don't think it's so much as a food the food's fine it's that you have to pay à la cart and that seems awfully weird for fast food. Also, the size and the price didn't coincide. I truly wish that instead of all the burger joints in Lavernia, they would have a KFC, that's just my opinion read more

I just had the single worst experience of my life after visiting Lavernia's Dairy Queen. Let me tell you about this tragic experience I had. I go through the drive-through and I ask for a hot food sundae. Not only does the lady hand me my hot fudge sundae melted already already pissing me off with my hand covered in ice cream. She handed me a hot fudge sundae with a quarter of one side with hot fudge. I can't believe my eyes I honestly can't. I ask her can I have some more and she says yes, sir did you want more? I say obviously she comes back with a little tiny bit more. I honestly can't believe it. It pisses me off so much. I just drive off. I go home. I sit down. I open up the lid and it just melts all over my carpet my clean carpet that I just cleaned. I am furious. I'm furious. I hope that this place gets shut down immediately. Last time I went here. I'm giving 3 stars because the cake was good, but in no way matched what I thought I was ordering based on the picture online. In fact, I decided not to have anything written on the cake based on the picture provided because I wasn't sure how it would look. Had I known I was getting a plain cake I would have opted to have something written on it. I understand there has to be some flexibility especially given the current environment, but perhaps some steps could be implemented to ensure a little more consistency between what is being billed and what is actually being sold. read more

Foods always fast hot and correct. Employees are friendly and helpful. Just the drive thru but I don't go in much anyway.

Stopped by for drive thru to get a 6 piece chicken strip basket. The wait wasn't long on a Sunday afternoon (January 2, 2022). In addition to the chicken basket, I ordered a small soft serve ice cream. When I picked it up, there was no credit card receipt. So I queried the price and it seemed a little high at almost $13 with no drink included. The attendant said the receipt machine was out. I queried the prices and was misquoted the price listed. So I told them I'd drive around and look again. Sure enough, my memory was correct and the prices should have been about two bucks cheaper. I stopped at the window again and the second attendant used a calculator but couldn't come up with the posted price with applicable taxes and got the assistant manager that stated the receipt machine was out, the prices had gone up and not able to ring the chicken strip basket up, as it was removed from the register menu and had to be rung up as the steak finger basket. I told her that's fine as the prices were the same for both so give me a refund. She stated she was told to raise the prices as things had gone up. I told her they need to post the changes on their drive in menu as well. She couldn't or wouldn't provide change so I took a soft serve ice cream as "change". It seems this DQ is either charging higher prices out of incorrect postings and not providing change or to keep the change as profit to unwitting customers. Buyers beware and check your prices before paying and IF you ever get a receipt, be sure to ask for one. The food was fine though. read more

Extremely friendly staff. Everything was what you would expect to see and taste at a Dairy Queen, except for the chicken and dumplings. That was a new one for me, and they were surprisingly good. I will definitely order them again next time i am there. The steak finger basket was good. The sweet tea was good. No complaints. read more

Took about 30 minutes, maybe longer including 3 cars before us. Even taking our order was a 10 minute ordeal. There was also hardly anyone in the actual restaurant. Definitely not coming here again. We had to forgo our order just because a place that takes 30-45 minutes to get some blizzards doesn't deserve the money. Absolutely ridiculous customer service at this location. It started with the attendant cutting me off with every blizzard order (I made 3). You need to pull the car out of your line if they are waiting 15 minutes for their food. My blizzards were melted by the time I got back to my house. Love this place, Gerald the manager is a great guy who goes leaps and bounds to be professional and make every experience great! He's even opened up early and stayed open late to serve us! Seriously! I sent my husband for burgers. We live two minutes from the restaurant. Our burgers were VERY COLD. Not like they cooked and sat too long. But refrigerator cold! The meat had clearly been cooked and refrigerated. Even the buns were cold like that! Apparently they must pre cook their stuff and someone forgot to warm it up. NEVER EVER AGAIN.
