I go through the drive-through and I ask for a hot food sundae. Not only does the lady hand me my hot fudge sundae melted already already pissing me off with my hand covered in ice cream. She handed me a hot fudge sundae with a quarter of one side with hot fudge. I can't believe my eyes I honestly can't. I ask her can I have some more and she says yes, sir did you want more? I say obviously she comes back with a little tiny bit more. I honestly can't believe it. It pisses me off so much. I just drive off. I go home. I sit down. I open up the lid and it just melts all over my carpet my clean carpet that I just cleaned. I am furious. I'm furious. I hope that this place gets shut down immediately. Last time I went here. I called the restaurant to let them know, and they told me my order hadn't been sent to them as a delivery order. There also wasn't any third-party pickup service associated with the order. They advised me to contact Golden Chick customer service directly and send someone to pick up the order. I submitted what I thought was a customer service ticket through Golden Chick, but when I went to pick up the order, I realized what I submitted must have been sent as a negative comment directly to corporate. They were extremely apologetic and I found out they had already been told they received a bad review/complaint, and it sounded like they were being blamed for it. It honestly took less time for corporate to receive my "complaint" and reprimand the location for something that wasn't their fault than it would have taken for my food to be delivered if the app had actually worked. I know this is a long story that could have been much shorter, but they deserve high praise. They were incredibly kind on the phone, and by the time I got to the restaurant to pick up my order, they had completely remade it so the food was fresh. Sorry for the confusion, Golden Chick in La Vernia. I'll be calling corporate headquarters tomorrow to let them know that what I sent was not meant to be a complaint, but a plea for them to fix the broken app that put all of us in this situation in the first place!

The woman who brought my food did apologize for the wait which came off as a bit insincere as she quickly walked off. I uttered, thanks I won't be doing drive again. Às she turned to say excuse me!? I simply told her I waited a really long time just for Avocado Toast. So, what are some take-aways here? First, it might be a good idea for the Blockhouse to limit drive thru order to only items from their Bakery Case. Yes, this means I would not be able to get Avocado Toast but, with their other Bakery selections - I would find something I would like. Second, an awning over the driveway at the window would be nice as well. And third, I should realize the weekend is not the time for a quick bite at the Blockhouse. This place is much better if you take the time to slow your roll and relax because the food is really this good.
