    Girl Scout Thin Mint Blizzard
    Cheryl C.

Just had the Limited Edition Girl Scout Thin Mint blizzard at this DQ and really enjoyed the flavor. While I like some of the other flavors, they tend to be too sweet and I can only eat them in small quantities. Thin Mint was just right and I ate the entire cup! The Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Blizzard was pretty good, I'm just a huge fan of cookie dough. The Brownie Batter Blizzard is initially good after two bites, you realize it's way too sweet and you feel sick. Not a fan although the Hubs enjoyed it and finished all of it! Ordered through drive through and no problems with our order. They were quick and everything was packaged well. We parked in the DQ lot and ate in the car. Worth the detour on our way back home!

Staff was super friendly. They did not rush us out, even though the place was close to closing soon. Great variety of ice cream. I bought the Snicker Doodle cookie dough, which seemed to have too much cinnamon in it. Still, if this is your thing, then I would recomend you try it. It seems that it will only be around for a limited time. Other than that, the seating is akin to any fast food restaurant I've been to in the area. There's a little cozy seating outside, which is nice in the summer months or when I want to get a fresh breath if air. The place is located on a busy intersection, so definitely watch your kids and make sure they don't run around too far! Recomend this place if you're looking for ice cream on the go in the area.

This Dairy Queen has been at the corner of 52 and 300 for years. I remember coming here when I was younger. The store had recently been remodeled. There is a drive thru at this location. The drivethru is not the greatest design wise. Hard to get in and out of. There is seating inside of the DQ and outside of the DQ. They have a little legit area for kids. That's kinda cool. As far as ice cream. Ice cream is good here. I'm not a huge ice cream person to begin with. I normally like to support the local ice cream places. But the menu at this DQ had everything you would want from ice cream. This time I went I got the coco brownie blizzard. This blizzard was really chocolate. I ordered a small. It was $5. The small is a lot of ice cream. I don't know how anyone can eat a whole med or large blizzard. The ice cream was made fast and it tasted good. The prices are a bit more pricy than a local ice cream place. Overall this DQ has been here for years. If you are looking for something quick. I would recommend coming here. Keep in mind the drive thru situation is not designed the greatest

This place is located on RT 52 and the corner of RT 300. It offers plenty of seating for those that want to make a trip to the ice cream spot a family outing. For those on the run this location does offer a drive-thru window for a quick grab & run experience.

After waiting in a very long drive through line, I hear the car in front of me trying endlessly to place his order . He had to repeat his order four times for them to get it. Now comes my turn, I place my order it's literally one item. I was asked to repeat the order three times and I suggested that maybe they were having problems with their Mic. The girl on the other end told me it was and I quote " not their problem if they could not hear me". I decided to pull forward and tell them in person what I would like. As I'm looking inside the window through the drive-through I see for young girls laughing, on their phones, talking and no one actually working. I sit there for a total of seven minutes before anyone even notices I'm at the window. The girl opens the window and asks me what I ordered (AGAIN!) I tell her and also suggest that maybe they should let their manager know they were having problems understanding the customers through the drive-through I receive a dirty look and the window shut on my face! I pay get my order And notice the order is not only wrong there's no whip cream that I requested. As I'm eating the ice cream I start chewing something hard to the point it hurt my tooth. I take it out of my mouth and it is literally a wood splinter! I can't even complain because when I tried to call no one picked up and I could not go through the drive-through or inside because they closed. I've had numerous problems with this Dairy Queen in the past, wrong orders and kids running the show with no management obviously around or proper training Not to mention their high prices. I've now chosen to go to Cherry top or Mary Jane's.

Newburgh, NY - we were directed to eat here by a friend after we visited nearby Motorcyclepedia…read more It's a popular local hangout, and the vibes immediately strike me as: if this were my neighborhood watering hole, I'd be a regular here. The decor alone earns a star: rock n roll ephemera covers every surface - walls, ceiling, shelves and display case - and takes me back to the days when I went to "shows" and not "concerts." There's even a small stage in the corner for live music, so that definitely checks out. Our friendly server Dianne hands us menus printed on newspaper, and I needed a moment to decide between the large selection of comfort food classics with creative variations on a theme - burgers, sandwiches, salads, mac & cheese, chilis & soups, burritos, wraps, fajitas, rice bowls, and specialty entrées - finally settling on some apps and a burger to share with my kiddo (which I'm told are good here), while our friend went for a steak bowl. There's a surprisingly large vegan and vegetarian section. Surprising because I haven't come across many veggie-forward pubs that offer anything more than a perfunctory Beyond Burger/black bean burger and an anemic salad. Here, they actually respect the non-carnivore's right to have some decent choices. The "hot" wings are alright and not really hot (though admittedly my spice sensors are likely eroded from my intense affinity for heat), but the poutine was a standout, which we ordered with bbq pork add-on. And while it won't quite pass muster in Montreal (tbh I've rarely had authentic poutine in the US despite seeing it on menus a lot - the cheese curds are never right), it was piping hot and delicious. The revelation was the twisty cut potatoes underneath, seriously additive! I love places with heart, which isn't always easy to define but the effort can be discerned in the atmosphere and the details. The Wherehouse has got that spirit & essence. With 16 rotating draft lines featuring regional brews, and substantial food offerings that far outpaces the typical bar menu, it's a down-to-earth dining establishment with the soul of a dive bar, that makes you feel welcomed like a local from the get-go.

We'd been striking out, one call after another, as every spot in our town decided to close up early that night. So landing a last-minute res. at this tiny, offbeat bar-restaurant in Newburgh, NY felt like a win. We just wanted a few bites+drinks before heading to Briarcliff Manor for a Halloween party and ended up finding way more than that. Unbeknownst to us, The Dylan Doyle Band played that night and man...was he good. The kid uses funk, rock, blues, R&B in his mix. Plus he sang his own renditions of D'Angelo- to honor him that night, Chaka and several others. I mean...he absolutely blew us away! But imagine this: it's got the vibe of Tarantino's From Dusk Till Dawn bar feel, minus the vampires and gore. This place is welcoming, unpretentious, serves decent bar food and has an excellent vegan menu that goes wayyyy beyond the usual portobello burger. Carnivores are covered too. Drinks are ok too. But do let them know light on the ice. We got music- a live band at that, decent food and had a fantastic time. This is Wherehouse.

It's Passover so I couldn't indulge myself but I can vouch the fries are solid potato, not greasy, skins on. All good stuff. But for this special event a number of food items were off the menu that I could have eaten. Beer rating: Up to you because most beers are IPA. Just two brown ales - a light 4.2% and a cherry? was about it. Fortunately they had a special mix of cider and brown ale that went with my meal, but I'm not an IPA guy so this is a little low for me. Finally, the other stuff. Wide open room is nice any day of the week. Friendly and patient service. Great of them to partner to host events like this. Local business - always gets my attention. The verdict: 4 stars to start, I'll have to come back on a regular day to finish this properly.

The bistro has a cute exterior offering a few outdoor seats and a minimal but stylish interior and is perfect if you want to stay and chill or get your food to go. This isn't Subway so the sandwiches are priced above $10, but considering the quality and quantity (and maybe because I'm just acclimated to paying ridiculous prices in the City) you definitely get your money's worth. I heartily enjoyed the sliced hanger steak sandwich and found the mix of horseradish mayo, sautéed mushrooms, and arugula on a toasted ciabatta to be perfection. I also tried the fried chicken sandwich which was well seasoned and made all that much better with the sriracha mayo and pickles! I will be back for certain to explore the rest of the sandwich and salad options, especially the capers and oyster mushroom sandwiches and roasted beet and goat cheese salads. They also offer baked goods from Newburgh Flower Shop down the block as well as a variety of coffee and tea drinks. If you get pickup, call the restaurant directly because the prices through Doordash are higher to compensate for the fees the restaurant has to pay. Good to have Toasted on the Liberty Street scene!

It was a little messy so I was glad I was outside to enjoy it. It's a small space inside (perhaps 5 square table for 2 each) and it's almost kitty corner to my favorite shop, Oliver & Chatfield. I think that's pretty crazy but I feel like all bars charge crazy prices for drinks. I would advise pregaming. The bar was definitely packed. There was no table of chair that wasn't filled and the dance floor was full of people. The music selection was great. Mainly rap and R&B, new and throwbacks.
