The barista knew most of the people ordering after us by name AND order - you can tell a lot of people come here often. Quite a large retired and elderly population came here for breakfast on the day we visited. Prices are very affordable for breakfast! We got a burrito and burrito bowl for $8-9 each. You can't get hardly anything for under $10 these days! Latte prices were more standard, but we got specialty items. These weren't our faves: the vanilla bean latte was quite sweet, and my peppermint matcha didn't taste much of peppermint (and I'm not sure they're using very good quality matcha). Today I enjoyed a scoop of the "Tres Leches" ice cream in a cup, which was recommended by the ice cream lady. The ice cream is so smooth, creamy...and the flavor was so refreshing and not too sweet. Had it been in a cup I could have definitely shared it with someone else. The flavor was Red Velvet. With a about 16 ice creams in the case, they let you try samples, and after trying that one (my second) I was sold! While it doesn't have the tang that red Velvet cake has (yes the cake, not just the frosting) I really enjoyed it. The texture was very pleasant. You get the creamy ice cream, with the mixed in cake, and bits of mini chocolate chips in each bite. Yum!!! Aside from the ice cream case, they also had a cooler with ice cream sandwiches, and several flavors of pint sized ice cream. Some of those flavors weren't even in the case (like a cinnamon toast crunch one). There were several tables indoors and outside so seating wasn't an issue. The only thing that could be is parking don't let that deter you. I look forward to returning for another flavor.

The majority of times I order a latte, I can hear the loud sound of the steam wand, which tells me the milk isn't being steamed properly. The loud sound tells me the wand is too far in the milk. Many times, the latte also turns out lukewarm. I really love Sebastian Joe's, but I can hear the indication that the baristas don't have proper coffee training. I have several years of barista experience under my belt; is there anyone there who can take some time to give better training? Fingers crossed this gets fixed.
