Asked for two small cones taking advantage of 75 cent anniversary offer and I was charge $2.39 each and when asked about the offer they said we had to mention it when ordering or it does not apply. The blizzards here are terrible. They are always partially melted and soupy. The part that has not completely melted is softer than soft serve. You could drink the entire thing through a straw if you wanted to. I've been here numerous times as it's the closest one to my house. Each time I place an order I hope this will be the one time they get it right..... but it's always the same. I think part of the problem is that they make it when you order it and then it sits there while the other cars in front of you block the drive through window waiting for their order. Wouldn't it be better to have those cars pull forward like other fast food restaurants while you serve the other customers? Just a thought. Sadly I won't be back. read more

Ordered two blizzards, one was Choco Brownie extreme. First attempt was vanilla. Asked to add chocolate to it, employee attempted mixing without splash guard and it went everywhere. Third attempt, watched employee scrape what looked to be less than a teaspoon of chocolate from dipper and mixed . Came out as vanilla as first, when told it wasn't correct she just laughed. This is most pathetic customer service I have come across. I give these people a boat load of business and they locked the door on me at 9:48pm when it actually closes at 10pm. I have no interest in sitting in there but would like to order my ice cream and take it with me. I would go into the drive thru but unfortunately I can't fit through that in a fire engine. They were quite delicious. BUT they WERE NOT FLIPPED! I was upset because my blizzards have always been flipped sense the first time I went when I was a little lad. Same as everyone is in the South, I've been to multiple DQ's. So my son wanted some today so I took him. Unfortunately we had to wait 10 minutes to order and it was 2pm in the afternoon! I wish I could say they were crowded but they weren't. If not for one female employee running the drive thru I believe I would still be waiting. She saw that I had been there a while and pushed to get us taken care of. We got Steakfingers as usual and they were good. The fries were limp and Texas toast more like Texas butter bread. Then we decide to have chocolate malts and this time we got to order more quickly but took 10 minutes to get them and they were ok. A few weeks ago, I went into the Richmond location to order a Birthday cake for my daughter to be picked up on April 26th, 2019. I had ordered cakes from this location 3 times before with no complaints- except for the fact that the slab cakes are becoming thinner and thinner each time it seems. This last order though was a hassle though. The cake book was gone, and the cake order forms were no longer either (I asked if they were out, and they told me they don't have them anymore). I asked if I could order a cake, and I was initially told to go choose one from the freezer- I reiterated that I wanted to order a custom cake for a later date- not choose one from the general freezer. I then said I wanted to order a slab (largest cake available) cake, and she then said she wasn't even sure they made those and they only did them in vanilla. I told them I had ordered 3 other slab cakes before- all with the standard DQ vanilla fudge/cookie chocolate combo. She seemed confused by this, and said she wasn't even sure they could do it and she would need to have her manager call me the next day to tell me if they could do it or not (I had driven 20 min specifically to order this cake because there isn't an online option to do this location) so i was slightly annoyed. They did call me the next day and informed me that they could do the cake, in the size and flavor I needed. However, because there were no cake forms, I had to try to explain what I wanted design-wise over the phone. When I went to pick up the cake, I told them I was there to pick up a cake I ordered, and several times she kept telling me to look in the general freezer as it should be in there... I said- 1. I can see it's not in there because I ordered a large slab cake, and 2. Why would a custom cake I ordered be placed in the general freezer where anyone could have come in before me and purchased it? So she proceeds to double check the general freezer and then goes and starts asking around where the cake would be. I was getting nervous that I had come all the way there again, only to find out there was no cake...but luckily, they found it in a back freezer. But it did not have the writing I asked for on it- so had they actually put it in the general freezer- someone could have bought it before pick up. I asked if they could write on it and informed me they could not! Ok- not a big deal, but I was starting to lose my confidence in ever ordering from here again. To top off the whole thing- every time I've gotten a cake from there- they have progressively become thinner and thinner. This cake had barely a sliver of chocolate ice cream on it, and then mostly- but not much still- vanilla. I feel like if I'm going to pay over $50 for an ice cream cake, it would be up to Dairy Queen standards (equal levels chocolate and vanilla like it has been always!) I recommend that they need to better train their staff when dealing with cake orders, bring back the proper order forms and the design book. read more

I realize this is a fairly new DQ location but cleanliness is not a priority here. The FroYo place nearby closed down and my niece/nephew wanted a treat so we pulled into DQ. We ordered blizzards, received an order table tent order number and attempted to find a semi clean table. The store was fairly empty, three employees stood behind the counter - meanwhile trays, and trash littered over half the tables which were empty. I had to break down the baby wipes and Purcell! Come on - train the staff right, course correct or find employees who take pride in where they work. The blizzards were tasty.
