Nice and easy ordering experience, fantastic ice cream. This is an ice cream only location unlike others that also have a "grill" that offer hot dogs and burgers. Their soda fountain was down when I went but they had cans as an alternative which was way better for me and i preferred it as they had a larger variety than just coke. It's a small store interior with a few tables in the corner so not much to linger around for, but a great spot to stop in for a cool treat. read more

Today I stopped by to get a small dipped conie. The young woman first of all did n I t know how to make a cone correctly, then when she dipped it, the sauce was so thin that she dipped it 3xs and it still did not coat the cone. The coating never hardened, just fell off quickly as I was trying to try to enjoy. Obviously, they have thinned the coatings out there they don't meet Dairy Queens standard that I have known for 50+ years. Disappointing. read more

My wife and I definitely recommend stopping by Dairy Queen to get some ice cream, especially if you're in Kingstowne at the movie theater or after you've had dinner out there. This is not a full-service Dairy Queen, in a sense that there's probably a few ice cream options you can't get and there's no hot food, but the ice cream is great! We've tried the blizzards, sundaes, banana splits and the soft served ice cream, it's all great. The really cool thing about the soft serve ice cream is that you can dip it in a strawberry, butterscotch or chocolate dip, which then hardens around the soft serve ice cream, which tastes great! read more

I'm not entirely sure what's going on in this place but the cones they are putting out of this location are trash. I came to this restaurant in high hopes of having my first ever blizzard. When I came in, the girl at the front took our orders and we paid and then waited for our blizzards to come out. More people walked in and ordered and immediately got their food while we sat and waited. After about 10 minutes, the girl asked us what we ordered. Once I finally got my blizzard, the girl barely turned it upside down and she didn't even say anything or smile. We've visited this location four times. Three times, we've shown up right at the start of their advertised business hours and they've been closed. Not a light on in the store as if maybe they're getting things ready. We've waited around a bit as well. Still doesn't open. Today we went and they were open, yay! I ordered a strawberry kiwi slush and a blue raspberry slush. They brought us two blue raspberries. I asked them to correct it and they did, no issues. My complaint is that each slush was only slush consistency for 1/4 of each cup. The rest was just liquid. I'm done trying, not coming back. read more

This Dairy Queen only sells treats, they do not sell food items. I had a turtle pecan blizzard and it was very delicious. The staff was nice and the blizzards were made fast. They even turned the cup over. Apparently Dairy Queen has a policy if your blizzard isn't turned upside down before it's given to you it's free. For those of you who haven't become accustomed to the big Dairy Queen stores with burgers and onion rings and all that goodness, this isn't one of them. It's a perfectly wonderful Dairy Queen serving up soft serve and blizzards, but I was disappointed because wanted that killer combo!!! A nice dipped cone did the trick and I was happy enough. Simple order, hot fudge Sunday with caramel! PAID for order and the person making it handed it off to me no whipped creme, no cherry no nuts, nor did they ask me. When I asked for whipped creme I got the deer in the headlights look, and the comment of you need to tell us what you want ! I asked for whipped creme and the server started to cover the entire Sunday encasing it completely, I'm assuming out of spite. Needless to say I walked out 10.00 less with no Sunday or drink. If this is to be the expected level of service I receive for my hard earned money I'll simply go elsewhere. Absolutely horrible experience with this Dairy Queen! They almost ruined my sons birthday today...... I ordered and paid for a Oreo blizzard cake yesterday, the young lady guaranteed me that the cake would be ready at 12pm when the store opened. I arrived at the store a little early just to be the first person in line because the birthday party started at 1pm. Needless to say by 12:15 I was driving to Safeway to buy a birthday cake because no one ever showed up to open the store or answer the phone! I called after the party ended because my son still wanted the ice cream cake that was promised for his birthday. The gentleman and I believe owner of this location would not offer any realistic compensation for the bad customer service and complete failure to deliver my paid in full product! It's fine. The employees were efficient and courteous. I wouldn't call it friendly or particularly fun, like going to the Dairy Godmother in Del Ray, but the ice cream is good and cheap. It's like going to 7/11 to get ice cream. Nothing special, but you get what you came to get. Where to begin? The customer service: horrible. It was an older gentleman and your guy working. The older guy rude as hell. Younger guy somewhat clueless on the register. We usually go to this one as it's closer. But tonight, it was a disaster. The girl put so much candy in my Blizzard that I started to cringe when I could hear it breaking up and she kept grinding away at it. Tipped it up , nothing fell out BUT it was already turning to soup and was soup by the time I got to the car. I hate it when people mess with my ice cream! It is a special treat for me as I can't eat it often. My Blizzard is now in my freezer but I will probably mix other ice cream with it so that I 'm eating ice cream with crunchy bits instead of a ton of large crunchy bits with a bit of ice cream around them. I'm going to the store during the day when crowds are low, and tell them what I think. I guess I'll go to the one that's even further away from my home from now on, Pity I have to drive at least 6 miles to get to one......I used to work in a Tastee Freeze years ago.
