Love this place. Been coming here for years and have lots of childhood memories of us taking evening walks around the neighborhood on warm summer nights just to grab a nice cool treat here. My sister also worked there for sometime when she was a teenager. Lots of memories!! Ah memories of home in the midwest. Nothing beat Dairy Queen there. So imagine my surprise when I ran across one here. As always, GREAT deserts but the downside to this place is actually getting to it, as the location is in a very bad spot all around. Bad being its a busy street and the parking they have for DQ is very tiny, which means you have to find parking on the street or park in a nearby store. This is very upsetting to write just because I've been coming to this establishment since I could remember and never got the type of treatment. I had ordered a blizzard as I always do, and right off the bat everyone working in that spot had a horrible attitude to them. I order my blizzard , the girl makes me feel stupid for even ordering extra toppings so when I get my blizzard , the blizzard itself was nasty. So much pie crust added it had the texture of oatmeal. And upon return to get another made, the MANAGER wanted to have a argument on who's fault it was. When a customer ask for something to be remade , it doesn't matter who's at fault. I always ask for extra toppings , but to get so much extra pie crust like y'all wanted to be petty ? Yeah that's not okay. this dairy queen was great! it only serves ice cream, there is no food here. if you're looking for a new flavor, i suggest chocolate ice cream with extra reese's and peanut butter sundae topping blended in! the employees were kind and attentive to the customers. there isn't really a clear line to stand in, that was the only downside. however, the service was quick and the blizzards were delicious!! read more

Im getting real tired of the shitty customer service at this location. Tonight wasnt any different. I wanted to treat my son due to him getting honor roll at school today. My son and wife ordered theirs and then i ordered mine. I asked for banana split malt. The girl who took the order asked, "blizzard or shake?" Malt means shake, not a blizzard. So we wait. Girl #2 calls out "banana malt!" I advise her that it was supposed to be a banana split malt. At this point, im thinking there gunna remake it and spit in it. My son and wife get their ice cream and i wait. Girl #3 calls out "banana split malt...shake...what ever!" I take my ice cream and advise her that i dont appreciate the attitude. She didnt say a word. This is the problem, hire a bunch of young kids that have no respect for paying customers. And to boot, my banana split malt, had no malt in it. We love Dairy Queen, we showed up 5 min before closing. They said, sorry we are only going to help the people that showed up just before you. We stayed their time says 10 and it's 5 till. They said "well this is how the owners want it". When we check google to see what time you close, it says 10. As a customer, we expect we can get service like most restaurants as long as we are there before then. Please change your hours on google so people don't waste a trip. read more

The ice cream is great but there is one big guy there that never wear gloves but all the other do the first time I went there I asked him could he put on gloves he did the next day the same thing no gloves I asked the lady why he's not wearing gloves she stated to me the the owner said he doesn't have to wear them as long as he wash his hands I will be reporting this to the health department for review read more

You have to know what you're getting when you opt for Dairy Queen. It is not rich, flavorful, complex, or any of the words I would use to describe really good ice cream. But, nevertheless this place always has a line! It's a walk up only. Very nostalgic. You hang out on the bench beside the building and eat your ice cream. For the experience and neighborhood feel (not to mention low prices) it's a four, for the ice cream it's a two. So, three stars is the average. read more

Ehhh...I'm neither here nor there with this place...The line wasn't that long, but they were taking forever to make the ice creams of the people ahead of us. It was a 112 degrees yesterday, and the taste of a cold ice cream was perfect. They do need to step it up a bit. Best Dairy Queen, the workers are great, great service, great product. #1 Dairy Queen but, I went tonight and there were three girls working and a guy. One of the girls, I believe the manger, was super sweet, and had great customer service with the people ahead of me. The one with braces and glasses, was also very sweet and polite, had a great smile on the whole time. Don't like to call the other one out but she did smile and try to be nice but when she read back my order and she messed up I told her and she gave me attitude and rolled her eyes. Once my order was ready she called it out and just handed it out fast to get it over with and gave more attitude. The tall guy with curly hair that was working tonight was making the orders, he was fast and got the job done! Great workers, some just have attitude. read more

Tried to order something Friday night. Was told by cashier that they were closing and had taken the last order. I asked if they could make an exception since there was nobody behind us and we had driven all the way there. Nope. I then asked what time they closed. 10:30 p.m. I said it's only 10:28 p.m. Why were they closing early? She said they still needed to make the order for the person ahead of us. I said, because of that, they're closing early? She said they're not closing early. I said, yes, you are - you just told me you close at 10:30 p.m. and it's not 10:30 yet. The cashier had nothing to say. She just stood there with a dumb expression on her face. Terrible customer service! The girls working here had nothing but attitude right from the start. I ordered a cookie dough blizzard (My absolute favorite. The only thing I ever order from DQ.) It was so over-blended that the cookie dough pieces were teeny tiny little bits. After a few bites (and searching for an actual piece of cookie dough) I brought it back where she proceeded to argue with me over the quality of my blizzard. The staff is by far some of the dumbest people who lack just about everything you need to serve a fucking ice cream cone. My favorite is when you stare at me like an idiot instead of greeting me with a simple "hi can I help you" and God forbid I have a question and have to interrupt your story to your coworker about the party last night which resulted in you starting your work day like you rolled out of the gutter. I'm so irritated with these twats that I just made the longest run on sentence ever. Wow, never have I experienced such lack of professionalism at this location. I have been going here since I was young, well over 35+ years. Bought a Gift Card for $50 for my veterinarian's office 2 doors down. They tried to use it, and the balance was $0.00?! Luckily I have a great relationship with them, and the called asking if there was some kind of activation that I forgot to do. Nope, just use it I told them. Called Corporate and find out that the card was purchased in 2014, and was used in January 2015, and balanced out in late July 2015. So basically what they did was sell a used card that was empty. Corporate informed me that cards can be reloaded, however it is done over the phone and that card should have never been sold. I get to drive 35 miles 1 way, pick up the card, take it in, and *hope* they will hand me a card that will work. The inconvenience is bad, but not as bad as the embarrassment as that phone call from the recipient who tried to use it. Their service has always been wonderful, the product is great---but this really is just bad judgement on the employee's part. I hope there is a manager on duty when I get there, because really this kind of thing needs to be addressed. Maybe I'll get a kiddie cone at the location for my trouble LOL read more
