I've been coming to Dairy Queen for about 17 years, and not much has changed since I was little. The soft serve is the best I've had at any chain and the blizzards are to die for! Classic flavors and treat options combined with really tasty ice cream is key and DQ has always nailed it. It's the one place that I can rely on to taste the same for years and it's ALWAYS good. Recently I've been missing the tall blonde-bearded, bald gentleman that used to work there, but the new folks provide good service too. 95% of the time, expect to wait in a long line because people know where to get great ice cream! I've been coming here since I was a kid and I love how authentic this place is. They don't serve burgers or fries and I hope they never do. If you're looking for that kind of Dairy Queen- look elsewhere. They keep it simple and delicious every time and offer perfect soft serve every time. At the height of Summer there can be a long line but the employees here are amazing and keep the line moving. There's seating in front, a parking lot and street parking. It's within walking distance of a lot of apartments, restaurants, parks and the mall. It's the most wonderful little ice cream stand and a great alternative to the other ice cream shops in town! read more

The owner does not accept coupons so don't use the Dairy Queen app! I did, it went through and they informed me when I was checking out. I almost left the ice creams right there. When I got my blizzard it was almost completely melted. The owner didn't apologize or offer to make a new one.. I guess the slogan doesn't apply here. The worst ice cream experience in CT! Meh...so so. I don't hate it, but it's not mind blowing in anyway. The idea of mixing in cookies and such in to ice cream sounds great, but the outcome is mediocre because the input (ice cream, candy etc) is mediocre. I much prefer Rita's water ice and custard. read more

We have been visiting DQ fir the last 3 years . We just love the banana split sundae and the pecan mud slide . It's a nice place to sit and relax with an ice cream in a lazy weekend end or weekday night with the family ..can get busy expectedly in summer , but folks managing it are quite efficient , the line keeps moving fast. read more

Doesn't matter how big my food baby grows, I still had to make a stop here. Good quick service on a crazy summer night and of course tastiness occurred all around. Daniel had a reese's peanut butter cup blizzard and I had a chocolate dipped cone. I think this place, along with all DQ's lose on one factor: Weight Watcher points. So I'm flipping through my WW app trying to find the most sensible thing (after all this is DQ - basically like drinking a vat of fat through a straw) and it was really hard to come up with an appropriate solution. What I chose, did have like 6 points and put me into the my extra points for the week, but it was a satisfactory choice and I did not feel any regret because of the flavor factor. However, there's got to be a way to make a tasty product, like say their Peanut Butter parfait, without it being 20 points. Yay on taste, bad for the waist. read more

I've been going to Dairy Queen ever since I was a kid and on my way home from school. They have yummy soft serve ice cream with "dips" you can get coated on the top. When I walked home from school I would always use my $1 I saved from lunch to buy a chocolate kiddie cone with chocolate dip. Yummy place! Parking sucks though and if your in the mood for food beforehand go to Wedge Inn right behind DQ. read more

Banana Cream Pie Blizzard...Need I say more? This is my go to Blizzard no matter what DQ I visit anywhere in the U.S. I have tried other blizzards but this one tops them all IMO. This location doesn't Offer food like some of the others do but when your driving up to Mass or coming from Mass it's any easy on and off the highway. read more

It's hard to beat a DQ blizzard on a hot day, or a cold day for that matter. I see other reviews commenting on the poor service, but on the day I visited there were two younger guys helping people as best as they could. Dairy Queen isn't known for their customer service to be sure, but it was adequate. Yesterday I went in with my young son to get an after school treat. I placed the order and while 1 kid made the blizzards, the other kid standing next to him cashed me out. Not uncommon since there was no one else in the line. Once my order was ready, the kid who made my order said the total is 9.80. I told him that I just paid the other kid and he told me it was $5.80. They both looked at me and said that I had not paid... at all. I told them, yes I did, $6.00 in cash and I was handed .20 in change. Please check their cameras. They both start arguing with me and by this time the line is long and everybody is staring. I told them that I am not arguing and the easy solution is to just check the cameras. I look at the kid who cashed me out go back and look at the footage, then he comes back and says "oh since you already paid $5.80 you actually owe $4.00 since it's $9.80". I said so you did see I paid on the footage? He then said "Well we can't actually check it until later tonight". lol . So instead of apologizing he lies. No doubt this establishment will continue to do well financially and losing me as a customer may not matter, but in any company being ethical and having an honest culture should be your first priority. When you don't eventually it will all go downhill in one way or the other. read more

Horrendous customer service. I would think stuff like this happens only on tv shows. The staff has always been very rude to its customers. But last Saturday was the last straw. While walking by and looking through the back door, I saw one of its staff members spit in the very ice cream they were serving. Absolutely pathetic. DO NOT go to this DQ ever! read more

It took me a while to appreciate this place because of their parking situation, but it really has grown on me. The blizzards are definitely the best. The employees are SUPERB!! I asked my boyfriend to prom and they let me put a sign in the window and wrote it on his cup! We follow their seasonal hours closely, because we can't get enough! read more
