I went tonight with my family and the ice cream was alright it's Dairy Queen. But the workers there are rude, well one of them was. I have a nut allergy and they were rude about accommodating my allergy. All your girl wanted was a mini s'mores blizzard and they tried to say they couldn't do it when I literally had one at another location. So they gave my the allergy list and told me to put a topping. I chose graham crackers and the marshmallow chocolates like the smores blizzard. And one of the workers was trying to deny my service about that. Like honey I know I work at an ice cream shop too and with ANY allergy I would've wiped down that machine. I think this location has to be more inclusive. read more

This dairy Queen is better than the one in Marshfield. The prices are much lower. It was packed on a Saturday night, but the line moves pretty quick. I've tried several of the newer blizzard flavors including snickers (not bad), caramel cannonball (OK), and turtle cluster (not great). It's pretty clear that I LOVE ICE CREAM! I come to this Dairy Queen often because it's near my house and I love it for the soft serve, it seems like no one sells soft serve anymore like off of the ice cream trucks! What gives?! The employees are always pleasant and pretty fast seeing as though there is ALWAYS a line... ugh! I grew up in a town that judged when spring was here by when the windows at DQ were unboarded and the ancient neon sign lit up the night sky. It's in my blood to stop at the first DQ I see on the first springy day of the year, and this year it happened to be at this location on my way back from dinner. (Glad I didn't fill up too much!) This location is on a pretty busy road, but once you enter the parking lot there is nothing but you and the creamy goodness that awaits. The cashier was super sweet and took our order with a smile. She returned very quickly with my vanilla cone with cherry dip (classic!) and my bf's Reese's Blizzard. Both were amazing and hit the spot! Oh dear, this area needs a DQ drive thru! I love Dairy Queen as much as the next person does, but God help the people of Weymouth and add a drive thru. Great job Weymouth, you managed to reach an all time low.... having more than 5 Dunkin Donuts drive thrus, and a few McDonald drive thru's, but no not a DQ drive thru. Urrrghhh. At least I live close enough to the drive thru in Natick not to complain about this one...... As you can see from how this review starts, I'm sort of obsessed with drive thru restaurants. Why bother get out of your car if you can simply drive thru? Another question I will ask myself if I ever do attempt to drive back out here (since there isn't one Dairy Queen near my home in Westwood....) is, why come to Weymouth when you can go to Natick (and have a drive thru!)? Anyway, solid 3 star DQ. No food, just the good old ice cream. Blizzards, soft serve, and some of the grand old classics DQ is known for. Surprisingly, this location has those delectable popsicles I forgot DQ even sold (the red, white and blue ones....). Staff are consistently friendly, happy, and kind. Too bad there isn't many of them. Note: make sure NOT to hit this Dairy Queen during a busy time. Lines get out of control and I almost saw someone get hit in the parking lot, if you can even call the outside a parking lot (at least it wasn't beep city, when four cars were all attempting to all back out at the same time at the Quincy DQ). 3 stars for the Weymouth DQ. I only get to the South Shore (Weymouth) a few times a year, usually during the summer and one of the highlights is getting my Crunch Coat dipped vanilla cone as I cruise down route 3 to the Cape. I had to make a trip yesterday and I knew that it was early in the spring but I hoped with fingers crossed that maybe this location was open. (It is open only spring to fall.) The web search through Chrome and their website link indicated they were open! I was ecstatic! As I rolled onto the exit off Route 3, I expected to see a long line with folks space safely apart and expected a long wait but the sun was shining, it was 60 degrees and I was out of the house so no worries! As I approached, the lot was empty and the place was dark! Come on guys...please update your sites with accurate information. In these trying times of disappointment and despair, an ice cream cone is a shining ray of hope. Don't add to the darkness! Came in for the new blizzard, Jurassic smash! Just delicious! It's a mixture of peanut butter cookies smashed together with chocolate chip dough, all mixed with vanilla soft serve. I thought it would be a little too rich with the chocolate chip dough, I had them hold that. But it was still very generously made with lots of peanut butter cookies. Although it was a very hot and humid day, since the blizzard was so nice and thick it held it's form pretty good and did not melt before I reached my car. This is one of my favorite Dairy Queen so far. They have always made my order correctly and have not been stingy with the ingredients. This blizzard the perfect snack on a very humid day. read more

for the size price and quality of my hot fudge sundae i would say i was not happy it tasted ok, but for five bucks it was small. no fudge on the bottom either which is an amateur move. i would think dq for all their years in business would know enough to put sauce on the bottom so that would be the last thing you would taste. i am going to have to do more research on this to find a better sundae. read more

It seems this Dairy Queen price gouges there customers. I have been to the DQ in Quincy numerous times and in Abington and found that the prices in Weymouth are always higher. For example, when both my kids order a Blizzard (Kiddie size, smallest option) in Weymouth, it is $3.75, in Quincy, $3.00, a markup of 25% more, on top of what they are making. All the kiddie cone prices have gone up to $1.50, last year is was a $1.00. WHAT GIVES, it's a small cone and less ice cream. They are busy, no doubt, but I have found that less people are there than in years past. Either people have noticed the price differences, or with everyone getting laid off, nobody is spending extra cash. In the summer they are fully staffed, and the workers are friendly, but I won't go back. I just happen to drive past it each day and notice. read more

Summary: Good, Convenient Ice Cream. Open Limited hours and months. More: This Weymouth Dairy Queen serves Ice cream and not the Dairy Queen food menu. The Ice cream is exactly as you'd expect from Dairy Queen. Good soft serve that is somehow thicker and more substantial than other soft serve options. The Dairy Queen is located just off of exit 16 on Route 3. The parking lot is fairly large, and overflow into the shopping center next door is easy when they are really busy. This location is also not open year round and can has fairly limited hours. I guess that you wouldn't expect a ice cream only shop with no in-door seating to be open year round, but we know that that formula works for other local ice cream shops. When they are in season they are often very busy. The lines seem to move at a good pace so don't be scared away if you do see a significant line. The building has been renovated quite a bit recently. Perhaps 2 years ago they put a new roof on, this year they replaced the front facade and sign for the store. There are 3 or 4 walk up windows. read more

I used to eat at the Weymouth Dairy Queen all the time last summer and have been there a few times this season. Today I went and ordered my regular peanut butter cookie dough smash without the chocolate chunks and cookie dough. The employee gave me a cup of blizzard soup and I started eating it but there was no way I could. I got back in line and the manager came over and was like "oh it's because it's so hot" which is a terrible excuse because everyone else's blizzards were nice and thick. I said well can you remake it please and she told me twice to go throw it in the trash and they will. She literally watched me walk it to the trash and throw it out before she remade it. As if I want to keep their blizzard soup. She could've just taken it from me and thrown it out rather than giving me attitude. The remade one was better but nothing fantastic. I was sorry I had wasted my calories and money on it. The Weymouth Dairy Queen is a mile and a half from my work but I don't think I'll go back any time soon. read more

Unfortunately my experience here today was the worst. Usually we get a really nice lady, who actually takes the time to craft beautiful creations. Not this time. Some other woman rushed (no lines present) and my dessert came out horrific. Not happy at all. It was poorly done and missed many key ingredients. I'll eat it, but not going to see this person again. So there is usually a long line here, just because its a Dairy Queen. I usually only come by when its not to busy because I am a local. There was no customers around at the time and I made eye contact with the two girls working there. I called them to take my order 3 times and stood there for a good 5 minutes. They completely ignored me while they were talking with each other. There is no one else there in an empty parking lot! I got mad because apparently they have a problem with me, I don't know if its because they are racist or whatever. I am one of the few Asian people living in Weymouth but its really unacceptable when the staff at your establishment makes me feel that way. As we begun to walk off they busted out laughing and giggling. That aside management should have a problem with those high school girls working that night on May 21st, 2015. I love this place! They have the best ice cream in Weymouth. They're a bit pricey but its worth it.

This location has BY FAR the quickest service of any Dairy Queen I've been to, especially considering its busy location. The girls at the counter always great me with a smile, and I'm never disappointed in my Blizzard. 5 STARS! read more
