Cute roadside ice cream shop with homemade ice cream. I got the Graham Central Station and Twisted Oreo and they were both delicious. My boyfriend got a Twisted Oreo shake and loved it. I was very disappointed in the service I received tonight. It was obvious that the girl who took my order was new and inexperienced. When I told her the flavor I wanted she asked me to point out where the tub of ice cream was in the case. When I received my ice cream it was not even full to the top, pressed down and flattened. Never have I ever seen ice cream served pressed down and FLAT in the cup, not even scooped. Not sure if I will be returning here due to the common sense of the staff. read more

It is slightly overwhelming because the menu on the wall is so busy. But go in and ask to try some flavors. You'll soon be a regular customer. I love their ice cream, but every time I come here the workers just seem to have an attitude. Yet I continue to give it a chance because the ice cream is so good. I'm really not one to complain, but I ordered a smoothie this time and what I got was basically just juice with little chunks of ice in it. I tried to NICELY tell the guy and ask for either a refund or something else, and he responds with an attitude, "well that's what it's supposed to be". A smoothie is not supposed to be juice with chunks of ice. There was no reason to have an attitude either. I ended up just giving him my smoothie and walking away with nothing. ): read more

I really did not get the appeal of this place. I ordered the brownie batter ice cream only to have no brownie in it. THe ice cream did not taste fresh and was lacking flavor. It's evolved from a tiny shack into a sculptured building, but the most important thing has always been the same: the fantastic ice cream. Roman and his talented team make all the ice cream offered at Dairy Swirl. They keep the old standby flavors like Chocolate and Maple Nut right next to awesome creations like Graham Central Station and Butterfinger Blast. There are also seasonal concoctions that keep you on your toes and coming back for more; I'm counting down the days until November, when Carrot Cake will be back, and to December, when Gingerbread Man will reappear. Until then, I can satisfy my sweet tooth with Key Lime Pie and Blueberry Cheesecake. So as Damon M. recommended, drive the extra mile or so past Dairy Queen to Dairy Swirl, where ice cream is king. read more
