I had an extremely uncomfortable experience at the customer service desk that I feel compelled to…read moreshare. I went to the customer service area to ask whether an item I had accidentally left in my cart might have been turned in after another customer found it. I explained that I knew it was a long shot, but I simply wanted to check before repurchasing the item. I showed the associate a picture of what I was looking for. He was kind and understanding and told me they would check in the back. After waiting, a woman approached me with a wheeled cart and asked if I had a question. I explained that I was already being helped. She responded, "Yeah, he told me you had a question." The associate who had initially helped me then came over, and I explained the situation again. At that point, she told me that no one was available to help me and that I would need to leave my personal information so their loss prevention agency could review the cameras to determine "if" the item had actually been left in the cart and they would investigate what actually happened. I was surprised and asked, "An agency?" I had simply come in hoping to quickly check whether the item had been found. She then asked for my receipt and repeated the explanation quickly and in a tone that I found unnecessarily dismissive. I pulled up my receipt, and she said, "Show him." I turned toward the person she was referring to, and by the time I turned back, she had already walked away. I was unable to get her name because she was not approachable and left the interaction feeling very uncomfortable. I completely understand that loss prevention is a serious concern for any retailer. However, there was nothing about my interaction that should have made me feel as though I was being treated like I was lying or attempting to take something from the store. I was simply asking if an item another customer had found had possibly been turned in. The associate who initially helped me had a long line by this point, so I waited off to the side. I eventually got a brief opportunity to tell him that I did not want to make a big deal out of the situation and that I would simply repurchase the item. He said okay. What should have been a simple question turned into an extremely awkward and uncomfortable experience. Unfortunately, this interaction has made me feel like I can no longer comfortably approach the customer service desk to ask questions. I already feel uncomfortable bringing reusable bags into the store because I have experienced being followed or questioned, and this situation only reinforced that feeling. I believe customer service should be handled with professionalism and respect, even when loss prevention procedures are involved. There was a much more respectful way to handle this situation without making a customer feel suspicious or unwelcome. Because of this experience, I do not plan to return to this Target. It is disappointing to leave feeling this way over something that could have been handled with a simple, courteous explanation.

I immediately go back to the guest services counter. I show the defective claw clip, to the female employee, who helped me. I asked her if I could do an exchange, for another set of the exact same claw clips. She asks me to wait at the counter, because she needed to talk to her supervisor first. Finally her supervisor shows up, and he tells me to go find the claw clips I wanted, and then return to the guest services counter. After finding another of the same set, I go back to the guest services counter, to do the exchange. The same male supervisor, then starts asking me, all these unnecessary questions. It was as if he didn't believe me, when I said the first set of claw clips, were defective. He also came off like he thought, I was trying to scam them or something. I show him the first claw clip set that had the defect. He "let" me do the exchange, even though it was technically, their fault to begin with. This male supervisor (short stocky 30 something year old Hispanic guy with glasses) didn't offer acknowledgement, apology or anything. Excuse me, but telling the customer to go look for an item themselves, kind of defeats the purpose of customer pickup...Not only that, but the employees should have very well examined, and inspected the item, before giving it to me. Last time I checked, items for pickup, should be in new and pristine condition, when given to the customer. If I knew I had to go into a giant store to look for an item myself, I would not have requested customer pickup. Also, this target has a bunch of weirdos and homeless people, who like to hang out in the parking lot. It makes you not want to go there, after a certain time in the day. I don't think I will do another pickup at this location.

Walmart carried jumbo sized baking potatoes in an 8 pound sack ($5.44). This isn't something that'll I'd see on the Target app. They also carried Marketside grass fed ground beef individually packed per pound ($6.26/lb) versus Costco's bulk 6 pound tray of standard 88/12 ($6/lb). It's a ten minute wait for my medium sized grocery order to be delivered to the car. Mind you, it was ready for pickup earlier in the morning at 7-8a. These young adults, at least my runner, do not know how to load groceries starting from heavy to ending with fragile items. The green onions were placed at the bottom of the bag and then crushed by heavier groceries. Thank goodness I didn't have any eggs in my order. I had to tell this guy to put the items in the bag. He was assuming in the trunk without bagging?? Come-on now, be intelligent, and put forth effort.

I have a same problem twice and I still can not believe what their store policy is about their product and customer service. I went to different Daiso in Anaheim a month ago and bought 10 little hand fans for my son's birthday party. I tried one at home and it was not safe for my son. I brought them to the store the next day and asked them if I could exchange them with something else. It was not even opened but a cashier pointed at the sign said "No refund, No exchange ". I tried to explain them if was not safe for my son and I didn't need money back just exchange with something else. He kept saying every sales are final and "no refund, no exchange". I don't see that kind of sign anymore around even 99 cents store. I was trying to talk to their manager but there was no one there and they had to call the manager at home, explain what happen. I was so humiliated when I talked to him because he didn't care if I am not satisfied with their company policy or not. He explain that the store policy "No refund , No exchange" actually help their customer happier ( I don't know how ). I went to Daiso in Buena Park yesterday and bought a mini speaker for my desk top computer. I tried it but I couldn't hear at all. I push the volume all the way up and I still didn't hear a thing. I put my ear right next to it and heard tiny sound still don't understand. I brought it back to the store today and explain them it didn't work. A cashier told me to wait because she has to call their manager at home in order to exchange or give store credit. She was on the phone about 5 minutes and came back to tell me she has to go back her office and test it. She went in and came back 5 minutes later and told me that I was right. It barely works but she couldn't issue a credit because it has sound. What ? I can't not use it, I can not hear a thing. She kept saying that her manager told her not to give a credit at all as long as it has any sound. What sound ? You have to put your ears right next to your desktop and still can hear at all. Their company policy is to make impossible to make any kinds of refund or exchange even though their product has a problem. That is how they save their cost and make profit. Rude staff, No Refund, or Exchange policy, 10 minimum purchase for credit card use. The items are considered toxic to the State of California so be careful. Since there is no refund or exchange policy be careful cause their really stringent on their policy, their like robots and do not care about customer satisfaction. How bad is their product that they don't even want it back for a refund or exchange even if it's never been opened or used. Won't be shopping here anymore. Whether it's a dollar or 100 there has to be a policy of merchantability. Go 99 and dollar tree you rock!! read more

HOLY MOLY! Wow! Daiso is an awesome store. I have been to several locations. But check this. There is this one chick who works the cashier at this store. She is unbelievably rude. I mean it's not even hidden. She has that proverbial f-you look molded permanently on her face. Did not get her name. She is a small Asian girl. She obviously hates working there. Rude and short with the customers. The other worker Lisa, is nice and courteous. This other girl is garbage. Learn some manners you nameless short Asian girl. Cheap cute items from Japan.You can find almost everything from kitchenware, garden materials, school supplies, office supplies, kawaii toys, scrapbook materials,gift wrappers, cell phone accessories and many more. What bothered me is that the runner did not put the items into the shopping bags left on the passenger rear seat. What a joke! The young man just started depositing all the goods on the rear seat. Just do the minimum and leave. I took the gallon of milk, the two half gallons of soy milk off the rear leather seats and into the rubber floor mat. These youngsters do not know how to deliver excellent service.

Unfortunately, I left disappointed. One of the things I love most about Grocery Outlet is discovering products and brands that aren't typically found in traditional grocery stores. However, this location felt more like a standard supermarket. The majority of the inventory consisted of common national brands that can be found at almost any grocery chain, rather than the unique, rotating selection that Grocery Outlet is known for. I was also surprised by the limited selection of organic, gluten-free, specialty, and health-focused products. In my experience, Grocery Outlet usually offers a wide variety of these items at great prices, which is a big part of why I shop there. This location seemed heavily stocked with mainstream products instead. The reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is that I did find a couple of discounted items that I regularly purchase, so there was still some value in the trip. Overall, I hope the owners or management consider expanding the selection to include more unique products, smaller brands, and healthier specialty options. Grocery Outlet has built a reputation around offering unexpected finds and great deals, and this location didn't quite deliver that experience for me.
