I enjoy browsing this store to look at all the cute & nifty items & trinkets. Whenever I pop in, I usually walk out with a little something. It's not very big & has narrow aisles, but it's clean & organized. They have a lot of Sanrio items, toys & stuffies, stationery & stickers, snacks & candy, beverages, keychains, housewares & kitchen items, beauty products, containers & bags...among many other random things. We were able to use the convenient self-checkout & so didn't actually interact with any workers, but I saw one organizing items & heard another interact in a friendly way with customers who did in-person checkout. read more

Probably one of the smallest Daiso I've been to. Their selection is very limited and the staff was not too friendly. My 2 year old toddler asked if they had any My Melody plushies, and the lady working there just shrugged her off. Even when I asked, she just said "no" and didn't look too helpful at all. The value is there but I'd much rather hit a different Daiso. This was our first time at this location and will probably be our last. read more

Stopped in while at the Galleria. This Daiso is smaller than most, with less stock to peruse and only a couple workers. They were pretty packed and it was a little difficult to get around the store due to the number of people. There were also multiple sections of the store that were almost totally empty, as if they had not been restocked in several days. To their credit, the workers at the front of the store were efficient and friendly in checking people out. It just seemed like maybe they needed a couple extra people on deck to help with the other needs of the store. read more

I love Daiso. This store is smaller than the usual store. Aisles are a bit tight. Their shelves are fully stacked and they have the Asian snacks and cute stationaries. Your typical daiso store, but I did find some BT21 items that have been very hard to get a hold of! They had cooky, Chimmy and Tata hand sanitizers available earlier this week and there were plenty of them! They were right in front so super easy to find. BT21 face masks were also available. On Saturday I stopped into this location located in the Roseville Galleria for the first time to pick up a sleep mask to shade my eyes while I sleep since my cat likes to peer through the blinds. For $1.50 I wasn't expecting much, but it's form fitting, soft and very comfortable, with an adjustable back as well! I'm glad since after seeing my receipt, all sales are final, probably since their prices are so low! I would recommend this location for all things kawaii(cute) and maybe even a little quirky too, whether you're looking for something for your home, kitchen, something sweet, school supplies and more, your sure to find something you need! This Japanese dollar store has been in business since 2005 and has a following! The coolest thing about Daiso is that everything is hella cheap. Not like your average dollar store, Daiso actially has things that are nice and decent. Specially some of their housewares. This particular shop is located inside the Roseville Galleria. Situated right at the booshie side. Its easy to spot and definitely popular with the shoppers. I stocked up on their hand creams and chocolates. Procured some coffee mugs and bowls as well. All super cheap and super cute at the same time. The shop was nicely stocked. Daiso in the mall located just across of the food court area on the second floor. Very easy to look for. Daiso is always been my favorite for small items, tiny stores but they are trying to carry lots of items which is good. Some stuff like stuff animals or plush you won't find it here but if you go to their bigger store in truxel Sacramento area they have more options since it's a big store. I always love to get stuff here because some items I can't find somewhere else like their baby qtip cleaners. They have the mini size, if I try to get it online is so expensive. Here is just the best price ever. Also their cute toilet cover, mini cutting board. This store is busier than miniso. But also of course I think daiso is so much cheaper on the price comparison with Miniso. Cashiers are pretty efficient and fast. They have three registers open if it's busy. This place does not accept mobile pay and you will only know this if you're already at the cash register checking out, after spending 20 minutes in a tiny, cramped, hot store with no air conditioning. Fun! Bring the whole family, especially during these 105 degree weather days! I will say though the cashier was friendly and forgiving, and the store has a lot of stuff. Lowering my rating from four to two. This Westfield mall is dog friendly and I have never been told no pets allowed anywhere in the mall...even the food court. I have been to this Daiso quite few times now with my dog. Today, the young male attendant at the front said no pets allowed. So I had to tell him I have been here so many times before with my dog and never had this issue. Then a female staff apologized, it was due to the food items (all packaged obviously) but we could hold the dog or put him in the bag pack. I absolutely have no problem with that but the way the guy just bluntly told us no pets....they do not even have the sign says no pets on their door. Like I said the whole mall is pet friendly. I don't think I am gonna go back to this Daiso again, since I don't wanna be bothered by this inconsistent rule and the one in North Natomas is much bigger and has better selections. read more

Nice Daiso that's a bit crowded with the standard Daiso items. It's all very organized, but when they've got a lot of customers, it could get a little claustrophobic, but it's a nice Daiso in a mall and has all the great items from kitchen tools, snacks to storage organizers, to gardening, (light) camping, to personal hygiene and health & beauty items. And of course you're greeted with a ton of Sanrio character stationery and cute gift items as you enter the store to draw you in. Daisos are awesome but this one is definitely not as nice as ones that are located outside of a mall. It's very small, cramped and doesn't carry a lot of the cooler stuff that we see at other Daisos. But definitely fun to walk around. It's not so bad when the store isn't crowded, but I'd imagine it'd be a pain to shop when other customers are trying to maneuver the aisles too. My mom was visiting and wanted to get some house slippers for my dad and other guests of similar shoe size. Like I discovered in the past, they don't really stock slippers for men's feet. I guess Japanese men have smaller feet perhaps? We couldn't find any slippers that could fit larger than a woman's size 8-9, for example. Hopefully in the future they'll make some slippers that are better suited for adult men. read more

Always been a fan of Daiso - cute little Japanese knickknacks for a great price ! Great to see Daiso family extending beyond the Bay area and into the Central Valley (Sacramento / Roseville area). I came to this Daiso Japan location looking specifically for the new BT21 stationary that's all over social media and TikTok lol. While this store was fully stocked of all things, they just didn't have anything out on display for what I wanted. The 3/5 rating is solely based on the fact that they didn't have what I was looking for that most other locations had out on display and the fact that the store was BUSY. The line was from the register to the back of the store mid to late afternoon. For this very reason also, all the store associates were either preoccupied putting more product out, helping other people or at the register. read more

Out of all the stores that are in the gigantic Galleria at Roseville shopping mall, "Daiso Japan" has to be one of the most quirky, unique, and affordable stores that are in this mall. It almost feels as if it doesn't belong here but its definitely a welcome site since its a far cry than your typical clothing retailer that bombards this mall from one end to the other. The grand opening of "Daiso" was back in February 2016 and was met with long lines snaking its way well outside of the store itself. For those of you that have never stepped foot into a Daiso (or heard of it for that matter), think of it has Japan's answer to "99¢ Store" or "Dollar Tree", only much more eclectic. This is the place you come to for bargain deals and roughly 90% of their merchandise is priced at an affordable $1.50 while higher priced items range from $2.99 to $5.99. Inside you will find so many interesting items; clothes, office/stationary products, cups, dishes, kitchen utensils, makeup/cosmetics, toiletries, toys, pet supplies, travel bags, and even cell phone chargers & cases. Not to mention, they offer a very nice variety of food and candy to choose from. Before, I was stuck having to go to South Sacramento for my Asian snacks but this place stocks a very generous supply of refrigerated tea & coffee, chips, cookies, soups, dressings, and ready-made meals. As wonderful as this store is, there are a few negative things about this particular Daiso. The inside itself is very small and the aisles are extremely narrow. As it has been very busy in the half dozen or so times I've been in here, I always find myself bumping into other people when going from aisle to aisle with my shopping cart. Additionally, customer service is virtually non-existent as most of the employees are at the front registers ringing people up. And on any given day during peak hours, expect a relatively long wait in line. Overall, this Daiso is a nice addition to this mall and the city of Roseville. However, having lived in the Bay Area for the first two decades of my life, you can find many, many better options of what you're looking for out there. I do see this store being a long-term tenant at this mall based on the number of customers that shop here. Which is why when it comes to product selection and price, I give this location a solid four stars. read more

I was so elated that they built one in Roseville! I usually travel all the way to San Fransisco to shop here. Granted this one is on the smaller scale, they still offer many great items at only $1.50 a pop. Snacks, makeup, home essentials, holiday decorations, clothing, costumes, car accessories, anything and everything they probably have. And it is definitely not 99-cent store quality. Find surprise and fun here! Finally came around to visiting this store with a much lesser crowd than the first time I went. The store had its Opening Day on Feb 27, 2016. It's the Japanese version of the 99-cents Store except most of the items are $1.50. My mission was to look for Hi-Chew chewy fruit candy and they sold them here for $1.75/pack. Yay! Since I had the luxury of having to put up with a lesser crowd I was able to take my time and walk down each aisle and browse at the items and merchandise they offered. They had everything from snacks to stationeries, school items and gift bags, to kitchenwares (ramen bowls, salt/pepper shakers, chopsticks, musubi maker, etc), cosmetics, slippers, so many items packed in this little store but the cutest thing I found was chair socks (set of 4) and they are chair leg covers. They offered different designs but I thought the best one was the one I took a photo of. This store is a mini version of the Daiso in Japantown in San Francisco and this store does not charge you for the extra bag. In Japantown the first paper bag is complimentary, after that they charge you per bag. Geez. Anyway, I enjoyed browsing around the store. The staff were nice and friendly and despite all the traffic of shoppers that set their foot in the store the place is quite neat and organized and merchandise kept in its place. Ahh.. Atlas I have made it to the store a lot of people have been raving about, Daiso. I was so excited to finally check this place out. I walk in and I'm looking at which part of the store I wanted to start looking by the way when I walked in I wasn't greeted or anything but whatever! My daughter and I grab a basket and part ways while shopping. As I'm looking around I see Pocky's I love those snacks. They have a small food section that have noodles, crackers, cold beverages that range from $1-$4 not bad at all. This store is like a much better $0.99 and more store this place carries so much stuff from, kitchen items, pet items, hair accessories, school supplies, bakeware and the list goes on and on. The prices are amazing most of the merchandise sold is $1.50 but I've see prices as low as $1.00-$8.00. This is one of my new places to shop. It's absolutely worth driving to Roseville. My boyfriend and I were able to witness the madness that was opening weekend and passed because waiting in line for 2 hours didn't look like fun. We were hoping this weekend wouldn't be as busy, but there was still a line outside the door and a worker monitoring who could go in. I was planning to buy some glass Tupperware, so we waited in line. The line ended right between Daiso and Wet Seal. From there, it took us 25 minutes to get inside. Daiso has everything you need and don't need. Kinda like a Japanese dollar tree, but less ghetto. They have supplies for your office, kitchen, pet, garden, car, party, beauty, snacks, etc. Everything is generally $1.50, except some things are more and marked as so (umbrellas $3, clay pot $7). We spent a total of 40 minutes inside going thru every aisle. I've been to other Daiso locations and this one is definitely the smallest. The aisles are really narrow so it's hard for two people to even squeeze by each other. I know it's a Japanese company, but here in America we're fat and need wider aisles! If you've never been, I suggest you check it out. I guarantee you can't walk in without buying something. read more

So I just moved from the Bay Area and we were fortunate to have several Daiso locations to visit. It's nice to finally have one by our new home. We arrived for the grand opening at 9 AM but there were many people who camped out here at 7 AM. There's a lot of goodies, freebies, and raffle tickets that will be handed out. This will be nice. I will follow up this review with what it was like in the store. I am number 175 in line right now as I was told. So onto the store itself after the grand opening festivities... This store is small for a Daiso. I guess that is expected for one located in a mall such as the Galleria. The store was neatly arranged and the interior was well still brand new of course. Most items in here are $1.50 and there are some that are under that price and some that are over that price. In addition to knick knacks, housewares, everyday items, stationery, pens, tools, and cleaning items to name few, they also have a large selection of Japanese snacks and drinks. There were a few drinks that I have enjoyed in Japan that I hope were sold here... but no. They do have a very wide array though. The employees were very friendly and seemed happy to be there but that could also be because of the excitement of the grand opening. I watched employees busily restocking items that were flying off the shelves. A few actually took the time to ask if I needed help with anything. Thumbs up! After we grabbed our items, checkout was without drama and our casher was super friendly and thanked us for our purchase with a smile. I am glad that they finally opened a Daiso up here. I missed going to the ones in the Bay Area when I was living out there... but this just about makes me want to do the happy dance. Finally a Daiso In Sacramento! And what better location that the Roseville Galleria!! We have been to the popular San Francisco location in Japan and the one in the galleria is MUCH smaller but you can't expect it to be that big in a space in the mall. There is a line to get in and they only allow a certain amount of people in at one time. I'm assuming they do this due to the size of the location and they want to prevent the store from being overly crowded! And second, when people see a line for a store, they get curious and slow down and makes them think if they want to check it out! Daiso Japan is basically your Asian Dollar store BUT this merchandise is made so much better! They have household items such as Tupperware, bathroom items, school items such as erasers and pens, to air freshers for your cars and homes, to Asian snacks! It's a place where you can look at every aisle and ask yourself, "do I want to buy this? Do I need this?" I ended up buying 6-7 air freshers since I love my car smelling good!! I just marked off one star because when it gets crowded, it's so hard to walk the aisles when there are so many people! If you come to the galleria, I highly recommend stopping by! read more

I really love the daiso here. It has so many things to buy and the selection here is the most diverse in the area. I really recommend getting things here if you're moving to a new place (the face towels and toiletries are so great). I really like the shampoo brush they offer and use it religiously now in the shower. I also like the stationary here it's just the cutest. They have the best washu tape (got sunflower ones and blueberry ones too). I am in love with the notebooks too. There's just so many selections. Also, this is a great place to get yummy Japanese snacks and try out so many diff types. read more

Fun store with a great deal of goods starting at $1.00. Most items are $1.50, and just a great place to spend some time browsing around finding interesting items that are Japanese related. When I shop at Daiso, I always look to see where it is made. Many of the items are made in China, so you really have to check if you are looking for items made in Japan or Korea. My daughter loves this store, because she can get three pairs of nice quality eyelashes for $1.50. I love hard boiled eggs. I have a hard time either under cooking them or over cooking. I found the neatest kitchen item that you place in with the eggs as you cook them in water to tell you when they are soft, medium or hard. Great place to take kids. You can make them happy by giving them a $10 bill and letting them shop for their own goods. read more

I've been to quite a few Daisos in my day, and this one was probably the smallest, which isn't a bad thing at all considering it's in a shopping mall! There are tons of other stores there you can choose from if you are disappointed with Daiso. What really got me was the amazing deal their fake eyelashes are -- they are pretty high quality and feel natural when you glue them to your lid. Not too heavy at all. I would buy your glue elsewhere, though. That is probably the one thing you don't want to be cheap about lol. They have a range of makeup brushes, beauty blenders, lipsticks, gloss, eyeshadow, eye liner, and etc. And all of it is very cheap and affordable. I look forward to the next time I am able to get fake eyelashes here because they are cheaper here than any other store I have gone to so far. read more

If your into Hello Kitty, Pochacco or any of the Sanrio characters this place has such cute pencils , pens , masks , washi tape , literally everything . I've been wanting to go to a Daiso for months- took almost an hour from the foothills- if only there were one in Folsom which is much closer than the foothills. Looked online for their mail-order but there was a message saying they are at least ten days out for delivery- and the online ordering doesn't provide many choices for some items 'You will get one of these, we choose the style/color/plant etc'- so I made the pilgrimage to Roseville Galleria. I didn't explore the whole mall but the place is pretty huge. There's even a hot topic and hot dog on a stick still there, I didn't know that was still a thing. If only Orange Julius were still a thing. Anyway.... Daiso- a store full of such cuteness, much wow. I ended up getting a lot of stuff for 30 bucks. Mostly gifty things to give people that they wouldn't buy for themselves- also because I just love anything Japanese. Their stuff is way more original than the dollar store stuff especially for the dishware and household/kitchen stuff. They had these little shelf baskets which are cool if you are needing to save space but keep things organized. I was hoping to find some of the items I saw online like the wall tapestries and fake plants but didn't see those. That and all the random cute cat items and just things we don't even really have in most stores like different types of candy and noodles make this place extra fun to just hold something up and go 'what IS this for?'.I could have spent an hour in there but next time I will go alone so I can really check stuff out though I may go to one of their bigger locations. Only one star off for people wandering around unmasked. If you are going to the galleria, you definitely want to check out Daiso- if not for yourself than to get stocking stuffers/gifts for kids. They are so extra at Daiso with their masking and blocking the entrance and all the extra restrictions that literally no one else is doing anymore. I'm pretty sure they would prefer to not be open at all and they resent having customers come inside to spend money. Don't try to come in with a mask that doesn't meet their narrow definitions of a mask, because they also aren't offering masks to customers who they think need a different one. read more

I've been a Daiso fan for a long time. I used to go out to the Daiso in Berkeley for all of my Kawaii needs. I was super stoked to find a location closer to me. This store is way smaller then the average Daiso. The aisles are very cramped and I was constantly bumping into someone while there. They had a decent selection of goodies (we still managing to spend 40 dollars...) but it wasn't as enjoyable of a shopping experience since it was so claustrophobic in there. I would stop by again but more for a quick trip in and out. read more
