I know I've been to this place before. Over a decade ago. And I thought it was awesome then. So how did I never write a review? And when I realized it was still here, years after Covid, I thought YESSSSS, they survived! A couple of weeks ago, after a social, a group of us were walking to get late-night pizza. We literally walked past Daisy's storefront, with it's colorful monthly special advertised on a billboard outside. We kept walking, but I kept thinking, and halfway down the block asked "Do you guys just wanna go there instead of pizza"? It worked. We backtracked to Daisy's, discovered it was open 24 HOURS (SCORE) and swooped on it. The staff: Friendly. I'll say service was a bit slow, and it didn't seem too crowded, but if you've read other reviews of mine, you'll know I'm always willing to excuse slow service if everything else makes up for it. It did. The food: So. MANY. OPTIONS. I wanted to eat 5 things at once. As a diner should, it offered so much I was boggled down with options. It was hard to pick. I settled on the biscuits with gravy, with a side egg. My goodness, I can't even find a picture of it in my gallery, I must have been so overcome with the desire to DEVOUR it. Long wait, but it was perfect. Perfect at 2am in the morning. Fluffy biscuity pillows drenched in a delicious, southern sausage gravy. I really wanted an Oreo milkshake, but they were out of Oreos that night. I forgive you, because I'm still thinking about those biscuits weeks later, and if I go back for more biscuits, how will I ever try out ALL THE OTHER STUFF ON THE MENU? There were grits, crab cakes, french toast sticks and breakfast platters, shrimp, CAKES. I got a hot chocolate and it was dolloped with whipped cream and warmed my tummy to happiness. I visited at 10:30 pm on a weeknight. The bartender seated me in the booth section and returned to his job, which apparently was talking to people at the bar and not taking my order. After about 15 minutes, as I was getting up to leave, a waitress appeared. I wondered where she had been as the place was pretty dead. She took my order for a bowl of chili. Highly disappointed with recent Daisy Diner experience. I am a native New Yorker. I've dined at many diners for breakfast around Brooklyn. Eggs, potatoes and toast is common all over New York and across the country. I can't believe DAISY DINER charges $6.00 (SIX DOLLARS) extra for grits. Daisy's Diner is one of the few authentic diners left in Brooklyn. Prices are reasonable, food is good, and the service and ambiance is great! I usually come for breakfast on the weekends and it is very tasty. Today, I decided to have a burger and it was cooked to specifications and tasted damned good. Scammers they run a delivery service called sizzle and sip on the delivery apps with misleading photos. Ordered $25.00 biscuits and gravy, in their pictures it shows many biscuits. I got 1 single biscuit for $25.00. Called and they just put the phone on the counter. Worse customer service and what's even more frustrating is they seemed to predict I would call ie they know what they're doing. Their uber and Grubhub is operating under sizzle and sip but they left a flyer with daisys diner on my receipt in the bag and the addresses are the same so they're obviously hiding something! read more

I really tried to give the new owners a chance more than once. My food is always wrong, it's cold when it gets here, and when I ask for a refund for cold food/that isn't what I ordered, they can't find my order in the system or the system won't refund it. I was in this diner today 05/30 around 12:00am with my family. The only reason why Im gonna give a compliment is because of the service we receive from Gustavo.. I was in this diner before and people look like they don't want to be there no Hi (etc). Gustavo was very courteous respectful and ask a few times if everything was ok.. I finally re-visited this diner after a bad experience many years ago - it's now under new management and has done a complete 180! The drinks are so fresh and delish and the food is great. They have an amazing happy hour too. So glad I went back! read more

After a few friends and I picked up our race swag and bibs at a local runners store for an event we decided to give this place a try for a quick lunch. As far as diners go it was just ok. It's really hard to find a diner in Brooklyn that has good food and especially for the fact there's not too many left. I haven't been to Daisy's since I was a kid. They've remodeled since and their food doesn't disappoint. I love the menu, so many options to choose from. The service is very good. I would definitely return :) read more

The only reason my I'm not going to give it a one star review is because I got a 5% discount. I love Mac and cheese and I was really expecting a good plate of it. However the wait.... THE WAIT WAS AN HOUR AND SOME CHANGE...... also can we talk about the price? The Mac and cheese is 14 dollars. The food was good. But the service was not. My mom and my friend ordered fried chicken one with fries and the other with mash potatoes and gravy. We ordered the minestrone soup in a cup. Everything was good. I ordered one of the specials. A lobster roll that looked good on the menu. It's a shame I did not get to taste it as it never arrived. This was not good service. I could understand if the place was full but it was not. Not once were we asked the standard questions of how is everything or is there anything else I can get you? Breakfast was decent breakfast food and normal diner fare. But when I asked for the check the waiter refused to provide a written check. When I asked to see the screen I noticed an "operational fee". I asked what it was he said it's for credit cards. Very sneaky and no where was the fee disclosed. Never asked how I was going to pay. Now I know why there was no printed check. Came here on a Sunday morning after arriving from a cruise. Had to look for someone to sit us down. 4 people , 2 adults &2 kids. Water was brought to the table for 3 my husband had to mention there was a 4th person. One daughter got a bacon egg and cheese sandwich which she loved. Was trying to locate the restaurant I ordered my burgers from which seems to not be real. I came across another review that stated this was the place which is kinda shocking. I ordered takeout on DoorDash but they are listed as Divine Burgers but googling their location gave me this place instead. That's very disappointing and sketchy. My partner and I went here on our first date a year ago and had a perfect meal with diner classics - grilled cheese, fries, pancakes, coffee. We just came back again for our anniversary and it is under new management and was honestly one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. I ordered a tuna melt with fries. The cheese was not melted at all and the bread was barely toasted. The fries were decent at least - all 5 of them that were on the plate. We both looked at each other and knew it was gonna be bad when our meals were served on wooden cutting boards instead of plates, lol. Emphasis on "time" because you certainly won't be rushed out of here. Walked in and had to ask where I should sit, rather than being offered a booth. Waited a while to get menus, then again for utensils. There were a few tables near us that were not bussed or cleared. We finally ordered and food came quicker than the rest of our service so that was great. Ordered two eggs over easy, corned beef hash, and extra crispy home fries with rye toast. Eggs were perfectly cooked, home fries were cooked to order. Corned beef hash left some to be desired.
