First time experience was on a weekday morning. There was no wait. Very toddler friendly service; responsive to dining out with kids. Bright atmosphere with seating in a more private nook in the back. (I know this because they let the toddler in the party choose the table, so we took a tour). The food lacked nothing. Great taste prepared as requested. I don't usually care for shredded potatoes, but the onions did it for me. I ate almost all of it! The toddler had no complaints too. Well done on the music. Oldies but goodies that added to the vibe!

My buddy and I try to meet quarterly for brunch to catch up on each other's current events. Sunday we met at Daisy's. We arrived at 8:30 and were surprised that it was empty. We were promptly seated and our orders were taken. The food was delicious and the special requests were honored. I will be back with more friends and family because it's just that good!

This Grill is not made equal to the rest of them... It's a hidden gem on a very busy road for sure. When you find the parking lot you are here. The Grill is on the first floor only so it sits on the bottom of the building. Now that I got that out of the way and you found the entrance lets get to business.... I went for a hungry man's breakfast: steak, eggs, and potatoes... oh yeah, silver dollar pancakes too! Even though this was a steak on the thin side believe me it tasted phenomenal. The eggs were cooked perfectly and not over done or burnt. The potatoes were superb... not dry and you can taste the freshness. The cappuccino- well, picture says a thousand words and not one of those thousand words are bad... made just perfect! The dining area is simple, but the reserved seating has that comfy and exquisite feel. They can hold a party of around 40-50 people if you choose to have something intimate. They tend to do a vast majority of their business on deliveries. So if you live in the area and want that breakfast in bed do not hesitate to order in. They have their own delivery driver and of course you can do your usual delivery options. Check out their website and go from there. The menu here has a lot to offer which makes it a place to visit over and over again. I for sure can't wait to come back. FYI: The entrance is located on a side street in the back of the building, underneath the busy road.

I stopped here for a quick breakfast. The interior is lined with really cute booths and photos of flowers. The food came out quickly and was cooked to perfection. The drinks are bottled Tropicana. They do have a small parking lot. I can't wait to go back!

It was the 1st time I came to Daisy's Grill and was impressed, the atmosphere is so cute! Music was 50's/60's music in the background. When our breakfast arrived, it was delicious. Everything we touched was so tasty and had a lightness to it that really showcased the essence of the food. Will definitely come back again!

Chicken Gyro delivered to work! Just look at that chicken - it's stuffed! I'm hungry just looking at it.

So funny story! I've never actually eaten inside of Daisy's, but I've ordered from here several times. In fact, I'm a teacher, and Daisy's is the #1 place that we order from on Fridays. The food is always consistent, fresh, and reasonably priced. Sometimes, our orders include upwards of 10+ meals, but Daisy's always delivers on time, never forgets anything, and the food is just delicious. (We try to order around 10:30am for a 12pm lunch, giving them enough time to prepare the meal and deliver it. Don't be that guy who orders at 11:45 and expects the food in 15 minutes. Sheesh!) Usually, when a menu is as expansive as Daisy's, it's a warning sign to stay away. But honestly, out of all the times that I've ordered at Daisy's, and out of all the different items that I've ordered, they've all been excellent. Particularly, their grilled chicken is actual grilled chicken with char marks and everything. Top stars for me are: - Any of the breakfast foods, including pancakes, egg sandwiches, and omelettes - Wraps, especially the Daisy's wrap, but most of them are a solid choice -Burgers -Chicken Gyro -Their onion rings - Unanimously, their Greek Salad is the most ordered item at my school. It's huge, and like I mentioned, the chicken is always fresh. If there is ever an issue, we give them a call, and the employees are so kind and accommodating. It's on my to-do list to go there and actually order some food. If you're considering going here, give Daisy's a try!

Have passed Daisy's Grill a million times and finally got to experience it. It's nestled in the Old River Road section of Edgewater and tricky to access, so keep a close eye on your GPS directions. I enjoyed every aspect of this eatery. The staff is super friendly, attentive, and made our breakfast enjoyable. Make sure that you start with the FRESH SQUEEZED orange juice. It is refreshing, has the perfect consistency of pulp, and came with a slice of an orange, on the rim of the mason jar. Both of the coffees that we ordered were on point. The cappuccino was delicious and was served in a cool "daisy" adorned cup. Our main course selections were just as good. The omelets were perfectly made and the home fries were shredded so nicely. The restaurant is larger than I expected, it is decorated with very nice wall art, and was clean. You will, most definitely, enjoy your meal, here. Enjoy the good service and I'm sure you'll return for more.

We stumbled upon this place during Covid and right before the snow storm. All other pancake joints were packed. I'm so glad we did .... what a Nice surprise! I'm a pancake snob and I'm always trying new places. Daisy's did not disappoint. I ordered the fresh blueberry pancakes and spinach omelette w fries. It's all came out Hot and fresh! The pancakes were delicious! I could eat them with plain or with a small amount of syrup. That goes to show how tasty they are. The spinach omelette was good and the fries were even better! The restaurant was clean with sanitizer on each table. The menu has a little bit of everything. Prices were fair. Somewhat like a diner. There was No wait on a Sunday which concerned me at first but the food was really Good! I would recommend Daisy's and will return again.

Situated just off river road behind the metropolitan building, this is a 'hidden' gem!! Great spot with a wide selection of delicious, home made food! They also provide delivery to the nearby apartments & condos! Lovey staff that always provide great, friendly service. Today Luisa was lovely! Food is fresh and daily priced. They offer lots of types of food for breakfast, lunch & dinner as well as an array of beverage choices that can also be packed up for delivery. Clean, cozy dining space with great music and clean restrooms. One of my favorite local choices!

Saw this place on Yelp and decided to try it. It a cute little place off to the left. They currently have delivery and take out but no dine in seating because of covid. It is super clean inside and lots of hand sanitizers available. Even though the phones and online orders were busy, the staff was super friendly and answered my questions when I was deciding between the daisy panini or daisy wrap. I ended up getting the daisy wrap with chipotle sauce instead of ranch and it is sooooo good! Keep in mind they have a $10 minimum for card if ordering inside.

I loved this spot ! My new little fav spot. I came for breakfast with the fam right when they opened for the day. The prices are fair for the large portions you're getting. I had the delicious and toasty daisy panini with sweet potato fries ($1.50 more) but you can get it with french fries or rice. The daisy panini was big and so good. It came in sliced white bread that was toasty and buttery. The cheese was melted, the avocado was in perfect slices & the chicken was just the right amount and not overpowering like in other grilled chicken sandwiches. to finish it off, that amazing sauce was everything ... keep in mind it is a bit spicy. I also had the Orange + carrot juice and this was the only thing I wasn't such a big fan of... I felt like you tasted the carrot way more than the orange juice and when I have this juice, the most important thing for me is to taste both. Now let's talk about their amazing amazing sweet potato fries... WOW. I love sweet potato fries and what I'm always looking for is some good sweet potato fries. these were fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside and not salty or soggy at all. they were honestly just right. We also tried their home fries (HIGHLY RECOMMEND). So good, soft, yet crunchy. A friend had ordered the chicken wings and those were pretty good too. SUPER super crunchy, warm and good on the inside. I honestly would love to come back and have these. Overall a wonderful experience, I love the place, the staff is so sweet, helpful & attentive. Please come here, you won't regret it ! COVID TIP: there is parking in the front, seats are already pretty far apart, the staff wears masks at all time, they also have switched to plastic cups to serve water, all other cups are their regular( they offer straws)

Western Omelet with sweet potato fries

Finally got to try this restaurant in all these years. It looked small outside but there are plenty of small tables inside as the restaurant is long. Not good for big parties though as most tables are booths or tables for two or for maximum of 4 people. We had a group of five and we managed to add a chair to the end of the table. It's your typical diner food. Western omelette: pretty standard and was good. I asked for sweet potato fries to replace the home fries and it cost $2 more. Wish we were told. Save the $2 as the home fries was actually very crunchy and flavorful. Pancakes and French toast were good too. My boyfriend liked his chipotle chicken wrap with home fries. We also got a steak with two eggs along with sweet potato fries instead of home fries (again got charged $2). Food was actually better than some other diners. I would come back again but probably with a smaller group.

He mentioned to me that he knows a place in the neighborhood that has really good burgers. I usually go to my familiar spots, but I figured the way he was talking this place up for their burgers, I might as well give it a shot. Why not right? So we enter "Nobody Told Me", which is a new venue in the neighborhood, at least to me. It was cool. We sat at the bar. I asked for a menu and the Bartender just pointed to the menu that's on the wall. So I made my selection of Burger. I'm honestly probably a boring Burger person because for the most part I just like meat, cheese and bun. I mean, a nice fried egg over easy doesn't hurt. I've also done that with some mac & cheese, and it was incredibly delicious but also, very gluttonous to say the least. lol. In any case, I ordered my burger. Meat, cheese, and bun. I think it was a double Patti Smashburger maybe? And it came with some fries. The burger was good. It was actually better than what I expected. It was juicy without being all bloody and had flavor. It was also a pretty good size.. I mean I couldn't finish it.. I don't eat huge portions or meals.. The fries were good too. I might request a bit more crisp on the fries if I go back. That's just me.. But they were good nonetheless. Burger and fries also had a bit of a lite oniony flavor to them.. I guess to add some flavor.. As far as the vibe in the spot, it was cool. Room was dim as it was day time outside so it was chill. Seemed to be a pretty young crowd of new people who have recently moved in the neighborhood. Who knows? I've only lived here for 50 years.. but it was a cool experience.. They had some cool music playing lightly so you can carry a convo.. In any case, if you are looking for a pretty good burger, I'd give this place a try.. And there you go! Have a great one yall! -Ray

All but one round of drinks were at the happy hour price and each drink was now $20. It's odd because the food happy hour orders didn't go up but the drinks did? Either way, we didn't agree with the bill and after some discussion with the bartender, it was lowered but they tacked on an automatic gratuity (I guess as a way to compensate) but it was only two of us, so that should have never happened, especially since gratuity is optional. This experience honestly ruined the vibe and our willingness to come back again. It's really a shame because we looked forward to Monday happy hour because getting good drinks at that price is rare in the city and is a nice gem when it happens. I understand the desire to cash in on events like this, but your originality and integrity is what keeps customers and return customers. My experience at Jacob's Pickles was incredible and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone for any occasion. This special southern gem has it all figured out. By comparison, the new one is much better and much more fitting, while still being moderately loud but not earsplitting, presumably due to both the ceilings being a lot higher and the tables being more spaced apart. It's also a lot brighter, with plenty of mirrors on the wall and larger tables. As mentioned by most others, the portions here are rather massive for NYC, even in comparison to some diners and delicatessens, which makes the prices pretty reasonable. Our large group went here for something I rarely do: brunch. The servers were reasonably overwhelmed, but still friendly. Knowing how big the portions are, I only ordered the $22 Spicy Chicken Sandwich, which is typically served with pepper jack cheese, crispy onions, and hot sour pickles on a home-baked brioche bun. I did something I rarely do, which was ask for a substitution. In this case, it was cheddar instead of pepper jack, and it was obliged. The sandwich was quite large and a bit difficult to pick up, as it was pretty messy, but the flavor was nice. The chicken was juicy, the batter was pretty light, and there was a load of crispy onions. The pickles added a bit of sour crunch and a bit of heat, and the bun did just well enough to keep it all together. Overall, it was tasty. In terms of other dishes, there were a ton. I had one of the many tasty Deviled Eggs for $15, served with pickled mustard seed, smoked paprika, and pickle chips. From the same appetizer section, I particularly enjoyed the $13 Okra & Chilies, made from smoked & pickled okra, red pepper flakes, and scallion. I liked the smokiness, and the okra had some good grill marks, with this being the lightest dish on the table, outside of the Pickle Sampler someone else got. If you're looking to have a heart attack, I would order the decent $19 Poutine. Featuring fries smothered in brown gravy, cheese, and a hollandaise drizzle, I would compare it more to disco fries or other forms of loaded fries. This was due to the lack of cheese curds and the style of gravy. Outside of the comically massive portion, it's fine. In terms of other mains, a few had the two types of Smothered Chicken, either with sausage or mushrooms, for $24. Someone else ordered the non-spicy version of the same sandwich I got. Finally, another got the gigantic $24 Chicken & Waffles, consisting of buttermilk fried chicken, a golden waffle, house maple butter, and powdered sugar. There was also another entree, but I don't remember the details. I preferred this experience a lot more than the previous time and would recommend them for brunch, at least. Just come very hungry.

Let me be clear, the main redeeming aspect of this place is the talent on stage. The musicians were exceptional and deserved far better than the environment surrounding them. I ordered a scotch neat, something I'm very familiar with, and immediately knew something was off. When I politely flagged down a waiter, he responded with visible annoyance, as if I was inconveniencing him by being a paying customer. I explained the issue and simply asked if it could be checked or replaced. Instead of addressing it professionally, he walked away without a word, returned holding the bottle and my glass, and said, "this is what you were poured," before carelessly tossing the drink back onto the table. No apology. No explanation. Just attitude. It escalated from there. When I confronted him about his behavior, he denied it outright and then doubled down with an aggressive, confrontational stance, getting in my face and effectively threatening me. His exact words? "If I tossed your drink on the table, it would have been all over you!", and "Man, shut yo ass!" Completely unprofessional and unacceptable in any setting, let alone an establishment that positions itself as upscale. The manager's response was just as disappointing. Instead of addressing the behavior of his staff, he blamed me, asking why I "chased" the waiter and suggesting I should have gone directly to him. That's not how basic customer service works. I tried to resolve the issue directly, respectfully, and without escalation, something his employee clearly had no interest in. I was thinking if I talk to the waiter first, he wouldn't get in trouble with his manager. To make matters worse, the manager continued to defend the waiter rather than de-escalate the situation. At that point, it was clear this wasn't a one-off issue; it's a reflection of how this place operates. I paid my bill and left. For a venue that attracts world-class jazz talent, it's astonishing how low the standard of service is. This place is doing a disservice to the artists who perform there. I will never return, and I would strongly caution anyone expecting a professional, respectful experience to look elsewhere.
