I stopped by Hometown Cafe and Grill around 8AM to grab breakfast after my overnight shift. The place was not crowded so we were able to sit right away. While we were eating there were a few orders for pickup so that seems like a popular option. My partner ordered 2 Croffles, banana Nutella, and tiramisu. I went for the Ultimate Burrito. The Croffles were fantastic. They had some layers and flakiness like a croissant while having the bite of a waffle. I really enjoyed both of them though I preferred the Banana Nutella. The Ultimate Burrito was packed with different foods and it made for a really good eating experience. The different textures and flavors really went together well. It was also a manageable size so that eating didn't become too messy. The service is fantastic and prices are reasonable. I could definitely see myself coming back. read more

This South Korean delicacy is a waffle prepared with croissant dough. Several toppings are available, but you won't go wrong with whichever you choose! I especially admired the artistic appearance of the lotus caramel croffle because of the biscoff cookie precisely centered on the appetizer . The everything bagel was freshly served out of the oven. The dough was warm on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside with the perfect amount of cream cheese spread. If you are looking for the mother of all sandwiches, the Huskinator is a must try! It is packed with bacon, sausage, taylor ham, fried egg, cheese and a hash brown! I had "no problemo" terminating this sandwich the same way the T-800 terminated the T-1000! You'll feel like you are virtually in Cali when you taste the California omelette. It's filled primarily with several avocado chunks and I never thought I'd enjoy this bright green fruit combined with fried eggs! We have been here several times. The food and owners are amazing. The service and hospitality are Always above and beyond. We really enjoy coming here. The owners are so friendly and personable and the food is great. We absolutely Love the Croffles, we have tried every flavor and all of them are so good. I stopped in as my usual go to spot was slammed packed on a Wednesday morning and I figured I'd give it another shot cause why not maybe they changed. It's a cute spot and the workers were nice. I got an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese and the bagel tasted old as if it was not made fresh that day and it was sitting around from the day before. They didn't have very many options of bagels anyway to start with. They do have a very wide menu which makes it seem like they don't know what they are trying to sell / target as their selling point. My favorite breakfast spot in Bergen county and there's a lot of competition but this place beats the bunch. They actually care about your food and don't just throw it at you. Food is delicious, always fresh, and clean! Love the sandwiches and breakfast. Crazy the other reviews one guy didn't even eat at the place and rated it one star. I went there with my friend and 4 kids and we were seated right away. The ordering process was fast and efficient and our food came out fresh and hot! The overall atmosphere was 10 out of 10 and such a pleasant space to spend our brunch hour at. This is a nice place to get your bagels from. They have delicious hot coffee, and a variety of cold beverages. The food is good, especially their breakfast items. Hometown gives Dumont a good name, as one of their breakfast sandwiches is named the Huskinator. It is a breakfast everything sandwich with bacon, sausage and ham egg and cheese. I also like their lunch menu. Their hometown wrap is a spin on a balsamic wrap. I typically hold the peppers because I am not a pepper person, but their balsamic is nice and light and pairs well with their chicken. The best part about this place? It's family run. This was my longtime weekend breakfast spot however the previous owners recently retired, moved to Florida and apparently all semblance of sanitary protocols left with them. I recently stopped in to order my usual sandwich and noticed that none of the workers were wearing gloves. The woman behind the counter wrote down my order with pen and paper then went and grabbed my bagel with the same bare hand she was holding the pen with. She then handed it to another worker who sliced it and placed it in the toaster with his bare hands. Meanwhile, another worker was slicing and weighing deli meat with his bare hands. Needless to say, that was all I needed to see so I walked out and will never be returning. It's unfortunate cause I wanted to continue to support the business but not under those conditions. read more

Customers. Gig workers alike avoid this place unless you have an hour to kill. Ive been here three times now and not once did i have enough to waste for "eggs n bacon" sandwich. Ive also been here for doordash and they always complain about the delivery services that help them sell their wares. Ive had to have the app ban them from orders because of the time sink involved. I still have not tasted their food and at this point ill just go somewhere that can handle more than two orders at a time. Good thing there is no parking meter.
