Tried their half soy and half spicy chicken, bulgogi fries, and japchae. I enjoyed their spicy chicken. It wasn't too spicy and had a hint of sweetness. It had some crisp, but I prefer an actual layer of crisp. The bulgogi fries were okay. The fries were great, but the cheese tasted "powdery" and the beef was very tough and chewy. The japchae was standard, but the beef was tough and chewy. I think they need to cut up the beef into smaller pieces and tenderize them a bit longer. Overall, it's decent. This place is very different from other Korean fried chicken places - no loud kpop music in the background. That's a win for me and other people who are noise sensitive! 8/10.

Large and small mixed fries chicken, half and half

We were pleasantly surprised to see another Korean fried chicken place open in the Rocklin Roseville area. We ordered a large mixed combo, half-and-half flavor, and a small mix combo half-and-half flavor plus the kimchi, fried rice, bibimbap, and japchae. Our total came out to just over $100, which is great because it easily fed seven people. The Korean fried chicken was pretty good. I think the chicken on the inside was juicy and when you got it fresh the outside was crispy. However, the one thing I do find disappointing is the lack of sauce options. I think I'm used to eating at Korean fried chicken chains that will also offer honey, butter powder, cheese flavors, and a variety of other dry and wet sauces. That being fed the two sauces that they do have are pretty good. I feel like this place is a good intro to Korean fried chicken and is definitely a step above the other more popular chains like Bonchon. However, if you're looking for more unique and interesting flavors, I'd still think that Vons is a better option. But, I do find that this place fries the chicken a little better. The other dishes we got were fine, but nothing really special. I think for this area, it's pretty good, but as where from the Bay Area originally, it didn't really stand out to us. The shop itself is really big really clean and really new. The staff were fine. I'm not sure if it's because we had a large order or because the shop is newer, but they included a slice of fried cheesecake for us as well! Much appreciated. I can definitely see my family going back to get more Korean fried chicken, especially since it's so close to their house and the value is good.

Went to check out this eatery that had a bold signage outside the building. Lots of red color popping inside this fast casual restaurant. Place your order at the kiosk, find a table, and they bring your food to you. The staff that brought us our food, Millie, was very nice and friendly. She even stopped by our table during our meal to check and chat. I had the bao. Although it came in a set of three, it was good except very small portioned and only one kind of protein per order. It would've nice if you could mix the proteins to try them all. We also had the ramen and that was tasty. Although we dined in, our food came in plastic takeout containers. I did noticed that they were using some paperboard boxes for other menu items. Consider switching to eco-friendly alternatives for all dine-in customers would be ideal.

I've been meaning to try this place for the longest time but never really had the chance to....on a road trip back from socal, my friend mentioned grabbing something to eat so we finally got the chance to try out Dak Good. I personally have a love hate relationship with KFC....I don't like saucy wings as it usually takes away from the crunch. In addition, KFC in particular always uses a ton of sugar in their sauces which another thing I personally can do without. Although the double fry technique keeps the crunch, the flavor quickly becomes tiresome. Dak Good was no different. There's really only 2 flavors, and after a handful of wings, you get sick of it because you can't really taste chicken, you only taste sauce. It's not necessarily a problem if you're the type of person that only eats like 5 or something wings in a sitting. My problem is that I'm a fat piece of shit that eats 20 wings in a sitting. The chicken did, however, remain crunchy throughout the meal...even after re-heating. The wings themselves are also HUGE. Reminds me of Costco wings. One major positive is the VALUE that is had. Most places charge an outrageous $2 PER WING....like why? You can get wings for as cheap as $2/LB at grocery stores, why is it $2 per wing? Greed-flation to the fullest. Other items on the menu....average priced I guess. We got 30 wings, an order of the pork belly bao buns and an order of the Buldak. As I mentioned before, the wings were delicious, but the flavor fatigue is real. They do offer sides with the order, which we got radish with which helps with the fatigue, but a tiny little scoop of radish for 30 wings is laughable. You need the radish to cleanse your palate and it goes quick. I have a feeling you probably get the same amount of radish even if you ordered only 10 wings. The Buldak has the same problem....One tiny scoop of rice for a whole boat full of saucy chicken. Imagine getting 4 scoops of orange chicken but 1 scoop of rice. Why? Rice is the cheapest thing. Give me enough rice to at least match the amount of saucy chicken you're giving me. Also, they top the buldak with pre-shredded mozzarella, which isn't necessary a bad thing, but come on man. It's cold mozz. It comes out cold. You need to mix the whole thing up to get the cheese to melt. They should either layer the mozz a bit to get it to melt some then lightly top it on top, or hit it with a broiler or salamander before boxing to at least melt the cheese even a little bit. The pork belly baos were just ok....nothing bad but nothing good either. The equivalent of paying $4 per just average taco. All in all, the flavors were great and overall value was good. They just need to refine a few things and it would probably be a 5 star place. Definitely worth trying though.

Stacey and I have a standing monthly date: two self-proclaimed foodies on a mission to find our next obsession. This time, all signs (aka glowing reviews) pointed to Dak Good...and since I've been deep in my Korean food era, I showed up ready for crispy, juicy, life-changing Korean fried chicken. Plot twist: life changing...just not in the way I hoped. You order at the register first, which is fine...except we were greeted by a guy who seemed personally offended that we existed. We asked for recommendations (you know, like normal first timers), and he basically hit us with, "I don't care, just hurry up." Nothing kills foodie excitement faster than attitude with a side of impatience. At that point, we went from "let's order everything!" to "let's just survive this interaction." We kept it simple: soy garlic chicken tenders and pork belly baos. And honestly...this is where the rave reviews lost me. The chicken? Dry. Like "did this sit out during a heatwave?" dry. And Korean fried chicken is supposed to be crispy...that signature crunch that echoes with every bite. This had none of that magic. The pork belly baos? A soggy situation. The buns were drenched from overly enthusiastic coleslaw, and the pork belly itself was basically playing hide and seek...mostly hiding. Flavor? Missing in action. Look, I don't love writing negative reviews...but when a place has so much hype, expectations come with it. And right now, Dak Good just isn't living up to that buzz. Between the service and the food, it felt like we caught them on a really off day...or maybe we ordered all the wrong things (which is exactly why good recommendations matter). The silver lining? They're new. There's time to fix the kinks...starting with the vibe at the front counter and tightening up the food quality. Will I give it another shot? Probably...because I really want to believe the hype. Next time, I'm thinking wings, bibimbap, bulgogi...fingers crossed for a redemption arc.

Ok I had heard two things about this place 1) the lunch was a great value and 2) the chicken was goooood. Welp, I had to go see for myself. The stories are true. It's super good and a super great value! I got the 8 wing lunch with fries. I had the soy garlic sauce on the wings and they were finger licking yummmmy!! The fries were nice and crispy and a super generous portion. Now I will say I always end up with leftovers when I go out.... But I actually got three meals out of this lunch. It was around $12 !! Yaaasss! New Korean fried chicken spot in Roseville and it's actually gooood!! There's another spot that serves Korean fried chicken in Roseville but had it once and it's not good. We always make a drive out to Natomas or Sac for Bonchon. Well this spot is just as delicious!!! I actually like the flavors more!! I ordered over the phone and picked up for take out. The gal was so nice taking our order and when we arrived it was ready on time and got our large order exactly correct. Everything tasted delicious especially the fried chicken. My kids wanted to try the Korean corn dogs which were delicious but my only complaint were they are smaller than other Korean corn dogs we've had but cost more. The sides were delicious and flavorful. Full of umami. Definitely recommend and going back!

Visiting from out of town and was looking to fill the hole before a concert. The place just looked like a clean cafeteria or modern McDonalds. Nothing bad, but nothing spectacular either. There were two TV's, but they were both placed in the back relatively near each other. So that was a little awkward. One was showing an old Anthony Bourdain travel show, and the other was playing who knows what?! I think if you're going to have TV's up, it should either be sports, or shows that promote/educate on the type of food of the place. Like how to make fresh kim chee from scratch, or how to make bao, or how to pit together bibimbap. I just feel that would help tie everything in together. If not, it just feels thrown together and a little cheesy! The food was decent for what it was. I actually was cool with their Kim chee, and their bibimbap was aight. It lacked depth of flavor for me, but it's basically a fast food place that serves Korean food! Sooo... it was cool! We got the soy-garlic chicken. My wife and I are split in this. She likes the flavors, but feels the chicken pieces are too big! I love the size, but feel the sauce is too much! Overall it was cool! A matter of personal preference! I should of tried the bao too! I'll save that for next time!

This place is delicious! A big variety of delicious offerings - from their fried chicken, to their chicken katsu, noodle dishes, ramen, rice dishes, and the appetizers! You order at the counter (or at their kiosk), and they bring it to your table. It's a pretty big menu selection - everyone will find something they like - I appreciate that there are some spicy dishes (I love it) but you can get just about anything not-spicy, too. Staff are super helpful if you need recommendations or want to know about dishes - and if you've never had Korean food before, don't worry! There's not weird or exotic, it's just really good flavors, in stuff you're probably already familiar with! Something for everyone, nice staff, easy to park... highly recommended. read more

I was looking for something a little different for my son's birthday party and decided to go with Korean fried chicken rather than pizza and sandwiches. After checking yelp, I found Dak Good was not to far from where we'd be hosting the party and decided to give them a call. Their menu seemed reasonable and reviews were good so I took a chance. I was impressed with their customer service over the phone and happy they were willing to make a special accomodation to have our order ready before their scheduled opening hour. On the morning of the party I was able to pick up our catering order at 10:30am for our 11am party. The trays were ready to go and they even helped me load them into the car. Kids and adults alike enjoyed the chicken and sides with compliments on the catering. If you are in the area and looking for Korean friend chicken check out Dak Good. No need to venture out of a Bonchon, this place is comparable. read more

We found one, The Terriyaki House Japanese Cuisine and we met the nicest man name Ken. My son loved that restaurant and became his go to place. My son is currently in IA for his Junior Olympic competition. How awesome is it that they were told at the IA place that Ken had opened this place in Roseville. May 28 (Thurs.), 2026, our first visit. Upon walking in we were greeted by a friendly young female. Informed her this was our first visit and need time to look over the menu. Her friendly reply was to let her know when we are ready to order. We had a few questions and she welcomingly and directly answered each one. I say "directly" because some people reply but do not answer the question. We ordered the Lunch Fried Chicken and the Lunch Bibimbap. The wait was timely like most similar restaurants. The Lunch Fried Chicken was moist and crunchy crispy. There was only a choice of spicy or non-spicy sauce. We ordered non-spicy sauce since mom was with us. We found the chicken a little bit spicy after rubbing a piece in the sauce laying in the box container, which was okay for us but not mom. We will order the Lunch Fried Chicken again but with spicy sauce to taste the difference. The Lunch Bibimbap, which we will not order again. The meat was warm, but the vegetables were cold as if they were added upon placing the warm meat into the container. The ambiance (decor and tables) was fine for us. This would be considered a Korean fast food place. The Korean food is not authentic and not cheap. The portions are rather small and in Togo boxes even though you are dining in. Place is small, but there wasn't many diners when I was there. We all ordered an entree and the most expensive was the bulgogi beef. I also ordered a 15 piece spicy drumstick Korean fried chicken. It ended costing me 98..00 after taxes. They do offer family meals for a lot less money, but those meals are more geared for a family with small children. We ordered the japchae, bulgogi and bibimbap for our entrees. I thought the food was meh, but the chicken was good. Really crispy skin, priced about the same as other places. This place is for a busy person that wants a quick Korean lunch. Just know beforehand it's the chicken that is the star of the show. read more

Went to Dak Good Korean BBQ with my mom yesterday and I'm not gonna lie, this place actually lived up to the hype. I've tried a few Korean BBQ spots around Roseville and left kinda underwhelmed, but this one was different. Everything we ordered hit. The bulgogi was solid, but the shrimp shumai... man, that was the star. Super flavorful, juicy, and honestly didn't even need the dipping sauces. My mom got the bibimbap and was happy with it too, so across the board it was a win. The vibe inside has a lot going on, K-pop playing, a little lively, but it actually fits the place and didn't bother me at all. It felt fun, not chaotic. Price-wise, yeah it's a little up there, but for around $20 you're getting legit portions and good quality meat. Didn't feel like I got played. Service was great. We talked with the manager for a bit, really cool dude and you can tell they care about the experience. Only regret is not trying the Korean fried chicken. That's happening next time. Only thing I'd add is a Coke Freestyle machine and it would be a wrap. If you've been disappointed by other KBBQ spots around here, I'd say give this one a shot. I'll definitely be back. read more

I've been waiting since the sign went up a while back for this spot to open. Went in for take out today. We got the soy garlic chicken/spicy chicken half and half mix with wings and drumsticks, kimchi fried rice, kimchi and pickled radish. The chicken is so crispy and delicious, travels well surprisingly. Love both flavors. The kimchi fried rice has a fantastic umami flavor. We loved the sides too. We will be back. read more

this place is excellent! we came during soft opening after a long awaited period of just waiting for them to open. The fries are excellent the seasoned ones too. They're crispy and they came out hot and very quickly. The bulgogi bao meat was succulent and the bao itself had very generous stuffing and was tasty. The chicken itself imo is better than some of the wet chickens that vons has - it's excellent, flavorful, the soy seasoning is flavorful but doesn't jeopardize the crispy texture. Delicious!! Dak Good has definitely earned the spot of best Korean fried chicken in Sac. Each piece was perfectly fried and coated with sauce, the chicken was so juicy. We enjoyed both the soy garlic and spicy flavors :) their rabokki was also very good, I usually find that most restaurants make theirs really sweet but it was not the case here!! Yes, it was Dak Good! My go-to place in Roseville was Vons, but the one thing I hated about Vons is they don't coat all the chicken pieces; they just put the fried chicken in the box or tray, then squirt the sauce on top, so not all pieces have sauce on them. Even when I asked them to toss the chicken pieces in a bowl to coat all the pieces, they don't do it. I was surprised at Dak Good when talking to the owner, Ken, that each piece has the sauce brushed on, making sure that it is coated evenly. Good thing they did, because the "small" with mixed 9pc for $14.95 (lunch special is $11.95 for 6pc mixed) was delicious. Every piece was coated evenly with soy garlic; it was sooooo crispy and crunchy. Ken said it should still be crispy for several hours. I took home the leftovers, and about 5 hours later, my wife came home and found my leftovers. She ate it out of the box and said, "This is so crispy and good, where did you get this?" The restaurant is super clean; there are two kiosks to order from. You can also order from the counter, and they are more than happy to answer your questions. I have been eagerly awaiting this place to open. I am a huge fan of Korean places, especially their fried chicken. I am very impressed by the items I got, as well as the pricing and service. The location is clean and the interior is nice and modern. I have received great service all three times I have been there by the young man working up front. This place is a gem. Roseville/Rocklin residents you must give this place a try. I love Korean Fried Chicken and the chicken wing sizes are great! The lunch menu is such a great deal for what you get. Their wings and strips are flavorful and breaded evenly. It's not as extrac crispy as competitors (e.g. Bonchon), but it's a great balance of tenderness, crisp, and meaty. I don't write reviews often, but I noticed that this place was empty the past 2 times I went. I felt compelled to write a review because the value, taste, and portions are so good. Found Dak Good on TikTok and it went straight to the top of our list. Absolutely worth the visit. We ordered the Soy Garlic Wings, Pork Belly Bao, Bulgogi Bibimbap, and Fried Rice. Everything was amazing. The flavors were on point. And the little things matter here. They brought out wet wipes for the wings and even sent us home with a complimentary dessert to share. I have picky eaters at home and they demolished the wings and fried rice without hesitation. That says everything. Finding a Korean spot like this in the area that is not an all-you-can-eat is a breath of fresh air. The quality speaks for itself and you do not need to overdo it to feel satisfied. If you have been sleeping on Dak Good, wake up. This place is the real deal and deserves all the support. We will definitely be back. read more

Got the bulgogi and it was exactly what I wanted. Meat was tender with that sweet-savory marinade that actually soaked all the way through, not just coating the outside. Little bit of char on it too. Came out sizzling and I burned my mouth because I couldn't wait, which is my fault, not theirs. Rice was fresh, and the banchan kept coming. Kimchi was properly fermented, not the mild sweet stuff a lot of places serve to play it safe. Service was quick and the staff checked on us without hovering. Dak Good in Roseville, CA is an absolute gem! Their Korean fried chicken is perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful inside--hands down some of the best I've had. We tried the soy garlic and spicy versions, both were packed with great taste without being overwhelming. The bulgogi and sides like fries were spot-on too.
