I ordered via GrubHub and got a nice branded reusable tote bag with my food. The half and half mixed chicken comes with wings and drumsticks in the soy garlic and spicy flavors. It's great to order so there's something for everyone. I also ordered chicken tenders, but received boneless wings instead. Regardless, the chicken was tender and tasty. The kim chi fried rice was delicious and had big pieces of kim chi throughout the dish. I highly recommend it. The pickled daikon is a must try! We were pleasantly surprised to see another Korean fried chicken place open in the Rocklin Roseville area. We ordered a large mixed combo, half-and-half flavor, and a small mix combo half-and-half flavor plus the kimchi, fried rice, bibimbap, and japchae. Our total came out to just over $100, which is great because it easily fed seven people. The Korean fried chicken was pretty good. I think the chicken on the inside was juicy and when you got it fresh the outside was crispy. However, the one thing I do find disappointing is the lack of sauce options. I think I'm used to eating at Korean fried chicken chains that will also offer honey, butter powder, cheese flavors, and a variety of other dry and wet sauces. That being fed the two sauces that they do have are pretty good. I feel like this place is a good intro to Korean fried chicken and is definitely a step above the other more popular chains like Bonchon. However, if you're looking for more unique and interesting flavors, I'd still think that Vons is a better option. But, I do find that this place fries the chicken a little better. The other dishes we got were fine, but nothing really special. I think for this area, it's pretty good, but as where from the Bay Area originally, it didn't really stand out to us. The shop itself is really big really clean and really new. The staff were fine. I'm not sure if it's because we had a large order or because the shop is newer, but they included a slice of fried cheesecake for us as well! Much appreciated. Went to check out this eatery that had a bold signage outside the building. Lots of red color popping inside this fast casual restaurant. Place your order at the kiosk, find a table, and they bring your food to you. The staff that brought us our food, Millie, was very nice and friendly. She even stopped by our table during our meal to check and chat. I had the bao. Although it came in a set of three, it was good except very small portioned and only one kind of protein per order. It would've nice if you could mix the proteins to try them all. We also had the ramen and that was tasty. Although we dined in, our food came in plastic takeout containers. I did noticed that they were using some paperboard boxes for other menu items. Consider switching to eco-friendly alternatives for all dine-in customers would be ideal. read more

I've been meaning to try this place for the longest time but never really had the chance to....on a road trip back from socal, my friend mentioned grabbing something to eat so we finally got the chance to try out Dak Good. I personally have a love hate relationship with KFC....I don't like saucy wings as it usually takes away from the crunch.  In addition, KFC in particular always uses a ton of sugar in their sauces which another thing I personally can do without.  Although the double fry technique keeps the crunch, the flavor quickly becomes tiresome. Dak Good was no different.  There's really only 2 flavors, and after a handful of wings, you get sick of it because you can't really taste chicken, you only taste sauce.  It's not necessarily a problem if you're the type of person that only eats like 5 or something wings in a sitting.  My problem is that I'm a fat piece of shit that eats 20 wings in a sitting. The chicken did, however, remain crunchy throughout the meal...even after re-heating.  The wings themselves are also HUGE.  Reminds me of Costco wings. One major positive is the VALUE that is had.   Most places charge an outrageous $2 PER WING....like why?  You can get wings for as cheap as $2/LB at grocery stores, why is it $2 per wing?  Greed-flation to the fullest. Other items on the menu....average priced I guess. We got 30 wings, an order of the pork belly bao buns and an order of the Buldak. As I mentioned before, the wings were delicious, but the flavor fatigue is real.  They do offer sides with the order, which we got radish with which helps with the fatigue, but a tiny little scoop of radish for 30 wings is laughable. You need the radish to cleanse your palate and it goes quick.  I have a feeling you probably get the same amount of radish even if you ordered only 10 wings. The Buldak has the same problem....One tiny scoop of rice for a whole boat full of saucy chicken.  Imagine getting 4 scoops of orange chicken but 1 scoop of rice.  Why?  Rice is the cheapest thing.  Give me enough rice to at least match the amount of saucy chicken you're giving me.  Also, they top the buldak with pre-shredded mozzarella, which isn't necessary a bad thing, but come on man.  It's cold mozz.  It comes out cold.  You need to mix the whole thing up to get the cheese to melt.  They should either layer the mozz a bit to get it to melt some then lightly top it on top, or hit it with a broiler or salamander before boxing to at least melt the cheese even a little bit. The pork belly baos were just ok....nothing bad but nothing good either.  The equivalent of paying $4 per just average taco. All in all, the flavors were great and overall value was good.  They just need to refine a few things and it would probably be a 5 star place. Definitely worth trying though. read more

Yaaasss! New Korean fried chicken spot in Roseville and it's actually gooood!! There's another spot that serves Korean fried chicken in Roseville but had it once and it's not good. We always make a drive out to Natomas or Sac for Bonchon. Well this spot is just as delicious!!! I actually like the flavors more!! I ordered over the phone and picked up for take out. The gal was so nice taking our order and when we arrived it was ready on time and got our large order exactly correct. Everything tasted delicious especially the fried chicken. My kids wanted to try the Korean corn dogs which were delicious but my only complaint were they are smaller than other Korean corn dogs we've had but cost more. I recently stopped by Dak Good to give it a try after reading good things. Overall, the experience was decent and the food was good, but it didn't quite live up to my expectations. The chicken was cooked well, and the sauces had good flavor. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was friendly during my visit. There wasn't anything particularly wrong with the meal, but there also wasn't anything that really stood out and made me eager to come back. As someone who enjoys Korean fried chicken, I still prefer Bonchon. I find the chicken there a bit crispier, and the flavors are more in line with my personal taste. That said, Dak Good is still worth trying if you're in the area and looking for a solid meal. Not a bad experience by any means, just not my favorite option in the category. read more

Overall, the experience was not dak good. I came in to order the fried chicken and bulgogi fries. The chicken itself was solid, and the spicy flavor was definitely the highlight of the meal. I still prefer Vons over their chicken but definitely worth a try. Unfortunately, the bulgogi fries were served cold, and the cheese wasn't even melted. To make matters worse, the portion of bulgogi on the fries was surprisingly small. At around $13, I expected a much more generous serving of meat, but it felt like they really skimped on it. The service also left a lot to be desired. We ordered our food to go, but it was handed to us without a bag. When the bulgogi fries were brought out, they were simply thrown on our table without any communication or courtesy. Same thing when asking for a bag. Dak good is DAMN GOOD! I tried it for the first time about a month ago, and have been thinking about it since. Actually gonna order this tonight and it's what I am most looking forward to this entire weekend lol Last time I got an order of 30 wings, half garlic/soy and other half spicy + bulgogi fried rice + fries. FANTASTIC, 10/10. Flavors were explosive, wings and fries were super crunchy. I got take out and it's like a 18min drive back to my house. Even with that, my order was STILL super crunchy/crispy when I got home. Best Korean fried wings I've had in California. The fries were so outrageously delicious as well! So crispy!! We were looking for a new Korean fried chicken place and saw this new spot to checkout. We got the combo for two people: Korean friend chicken, bulgogi fries, fried rice, pickled radish, and fried cheesecake. The flavor on the chicken was decent, but the pieces were small and we wish it were more crispy. The bulgogi fries were our favorite. There was so much food, we barely touched the rice. We each took a bite of the cheesecake, but it was too sweet to finish. It was a little surprising that our dine-in food came to us in to-go boxes, so this felt very casual as a lunch place. After checking yelp, I found Dak Good was not to far from where we'd be hosting the party and decided to give them a call. Their menu seemed reasonable and reviews were good so I took a chance. I was impressed with their customer service over the phone and happy they were willing to make a special accomodation to have our order ready before their scheduled opening hour. On the morning of the party I was able to pick up our catering order at 10:30am for our 11am party. The trays were ready to go and they even helped me load them into the car. We kept it simple: soy garlic chicken tenders and pork belly baos. And honestly...this is where the rave reviews lost me. The chicken? Dry. Like "did this sit out during a heatwave?" dry. This would be considered a Korean fast food place. The Korean food is not authentic and not cheap. The portions are rather small and in Togo boxes even though you are dining in. Place is small, but there wasn't many diners when I was there. We all ordered an entree and the most expensive was the bulgogi beef. I also ordered a 15 piece spicy drumstick Korean fried chicken. It ended costing me 98..00 after taxes. They do offer family meals for a lot less money, but those meals are more geared for a family with small children. We ordered the japchae, bulgogi and bibimbap for our entrees. I thought the food was meh, but the chicken was good. Really crispy skin, priced about the same as other places. Summary: Would go again based on taste and value (specials). Ordered through the QR code outside the window since we wanted to grab the food to go. Ordering online was seamless and easy, with the ability to add special instructions for each item if required. We ordered the lunch special 8 piece half plain, half soy garlic tenders with fries, tteokbokki, and beef bulgolgi bibimbap. The order itself came out in about 10 minutes. Which is quicker than other Korean fried chicken places I been to. The person in the front helping was friendly. The establishment is clean and included kiosks for self ordering. Our order came in a reusable grocery to go bag. I appreciated this as it won't get soggy like brown paper bags, collect a lot of steam like plastic, and is also more versatile in terms of reusable bags! We drove down the street to the mall to enjoy the food. The chicken and fries remained crispy and hot. The tenders were more like chunks; however it was soft, juicy, and had the nice crunch like korean fried chicken normally does. The plain chicken is still salted and perfect for my little who is picky about his "crispy chicken." The soy garlic had perfect amount of sauce without losing crunch. There is a balance of sweet and salty. The tteokbokki spice was not a burn your mouth and want milk. However, if you do not have spice tolerance above Sriracha, it could be spicy for you. I appreciated the generous level of cheese and the rice cakes were soft. There was fish cake and even some ramen in it too! The "broth" itself is very flavorful and not just salty tasting. I definitely would order it again. Only knock is that I wish the portion was as big as the bibimbap. The beef bulgolgi bibimbap was delicious. May 28 (Thurs.), 2026, our first visit. Upon walking in we were greeted by a friendly young female. Informed her this was our first visit and need time to look over the menu. Her friendly reply was to let her know when we are ready to order. We had a few questions and she welcomingly and directly answered each one. I say "directly" because some people reply but do not answer the question. We ordered the Lunch Fried Chicken and the Lunch Bibimbap. The wait was timely like most similar restaurants. The Lunch Fried Chicken was moist and crunchy crispy. There was only a choice of spicy or non-spicy sauce. We ordered non-spicy sauce since mom was with us. We found the chicken a little bit spicy after rubbing a piece in the sauce laying in the box container, which was okay for us but not mom. We will order the Lunch Fried Chicken again but with spicy sauce to taste the difference. The Lunch Bibimbap, which we will not order again. The meat was warm, but the vegetables were cold as if they were added upon placing the warm meat into the container. The ambiance (decor and tables) was fine for us. Yesterday I was passing through the area and craving Korean food. I found this place on YELP and decided to give it a try. Not sure what I expected, but this wasn't it exactly. I didn't realize it was a chain of Korean "medium" fast food. It wasn't really fast, but everything is freshly cooked and prepared, served piping hot and delicious! The Bulgogi was absolutely delicious! As good as almost any I have ever had. The Badak (spicy chicken) was extremely tasty! Definitely worth a try and repeat order! Food wise , my only complaint was the kimchi as it tasted like the store bought stuff in a jar. Nothing worth having again. The atmosphere is like a typical chain fast food restaurant, except the tables had unique license plates lightly emblazoned in the dark wood tables, with K-Pop music playing, and another TV showing old NFL clips (a little strange and out of place, but I digress). The cashier (who also brought our food to the table) seemed a bit confused when asking questions about ala carte items or specifics re each dish. Maybe he was new or maybe just unsure. Super excited to have this place so close to us. Our first time today we decided to go with soy garlic wings, spicy wings, the porkbelly buns, and japchae. We added the kimchi side which was very good. The entrees and starter pork buns were all delicious. The KFC is more Bonchon double fried than something like Vons. Might just be first time/ recency bias but the chicken was arguably better than those listed. This is totally legit and I declare my allegiance to the good chicken! read more

Went to Dak Good Korean BBQ with my mom yesterday and I'm not gonna lie, this place actually lived up to the hype. I've tried a few Korean BBQ spots around Roseville and left kinda underwhelmed, but this one was different. Everything we ordered hit. The bulgogi was solid, but the shrimp shumai... man, that was the star. Super flavorful, juicy, and honestly didn't even need the dipping sauces. My mom got the bibimbap and was happy with it too, so across the board it was a win. The vibe inside has a lot going on, K-pop playing, a little lively, but it actually fits the place and didn't bother me at all. It felt fun, not chaotic. Price-wise, yeah it's a little up there, but for around $20 you're getting legit portions and good quality meat. Didn't feel like I got played. Service was great. We talked with the manager for a bit, really cool dude and you can tell they care about the experience. Only regret is not trying the Korean fried chicken. That's happening next time. Only thing I'd add is a Coke Freestyle machine and it would be a wrap. If you've been disappointed by other KBBQ spots around here, I'd say give this one a shot. I'll definitely be back. read more

this place is excellent! we came during soft opening after a long awaited period of just waiting for them to open. The fries are excellent the seasoned ones too. They're crispy and they came out hot and very quickly. The bulgogi bao meat was succulent and the bao itself had very generous stuffing and was tasty. The chicken itself imo is better than some of the wet chickens that vons has - it's excellent, flavorful, the soy seasoning is flavorful but doesn't jeopardize the crispy texture.
