FOOD: i love thai foood! But this place knows how to make a good pad thai!! Service/Ambiance: Beautiful Decor! Clean bathroom! Super friendly Service! Will come again!!

Thai iced tea with unlimited refills. So glad they are open for dine in again.

I've submitted a review for MTK before. We drive an hour to eat here and MTK is our favorite Thai restaurant in California. Their service is on point and their food is super fresh. I've never had a bad dish here. They recently started using a robot to deliver your food which is pretty cool and it doesn't distract from the ambience. I strongly recommend MTK to anyone who loves Thai food

    Spring rolls

Today I got food to go from this place, and it was not nearly as good as I expected. First of all the fresh spring rolls with shrimp instead of a large prawn like most spring rolls, This had some tragic looking little. Shrimp in the bottom that were very suspicious to me. I didn't wanna eat them so I gave them to the dog. The chicken satay was very dry definitely overcooked and although the sticky rice with mango tasted good the presentation was really unattractive. You take a look at my picture and tell me what it looks like to you. I I did pick at a bit of it, but it was just so gross looking. I paid quite a bit of money for this food very disappointed.

I appreciate the ability to order and pay online for my take out order. My only complaint was that utensils were not included with my order. I ordered the khao man gai, which was really good. The chicken was tender and I love the mildly spicy dipping sauce. I love that it came with a side of chicken broth. I would like to dine in on my next visit to try their other menu items.

Wok It Your Way either chicken, zucchini, mushrooms, cashews. Peanut sauce.

We had a ladies night out and chose this place. A couple oh is had been here previously, the other three had not. We started with spring rolls and money bags for appetizers. Yummy. We all chose different menu items for dinner - everyone enjoyed there it's and we all took leftovers home. I chose the wok meal with chicken, zucchini, mushrooms, cashews, peanut sauce and with blue rice (I had it last time and liked it). Service was great.

Love everything we ordered from appetizers to the entrees..the best pad that ive tasted...i just wish we can order curry with no spice at all but they said they can only do mild but we will definitely come back id like to try their pineapple fried rice. Btw way not in the photo is mango sticky rice omg so good sweet and salty...

Very interesting experience... honestly the food was good but the service really brought it down to a 2/3. I am not one to give bad reviews but the servers were super rude and took very long to serve us and never attended to us. We came on a Sunday Night and it was so hard to call staff, they looked like they didn't want to take our order and didn't even repeat the order to us & just left. They also seemed angry when we asked straws for our water. I would not come back here if service is like this

    Panang Curry with chicken

Came here for lunch. I don't know why, but almost every Thai place I've been to seems to taste very similar. I don't know if it's the coconut milk or other ingredients, but it's almost all the same to me. This restaurant also tastes similar, but, the staff are really nice. My food came out fresh and the curry was hot. I enjoyed the avocado spring rolls. I was going to get the mango, but the waitress recommended the avocado. I also got the shrimp, but the shrimp was kinda small. The peanut sauce was very good. I also like that they give you multiple options for rice. Price is on the higher side, but Thai food is generally expensive and the area itself is expensive.

We found this place on the way to Lake Tahoe and decided to give it a try. The menu had a wide variety of options including curry, noodles, and dessert. We got the pumpkin curry and drunken noodles. Serving was a bit slow and we waited for 20+ min after ordering to get our food. The pumpkin curry was creamy and a little sweet. We were curious about the blue rice on the menu so ordered it for the curry. The blue rice turned out to be coconut rice with a light hint of coconut, which was really refreshing. The drunken noodles were freshly made out of the wok and had a smoky taste that I really liked. Both came with generous portion. The restaurant was located in a large plaza with plenty of parking.

$16.50 Panang Curry (top) $16.50 Pad Se Ew (bottom)

I came here because of the great Yelp reviews and was excited to try it, but honestly I was really disappointed. I ordered the vegan Pad See Ew and vegan Penang curry with sticky rice, both Thai spicy. The Panang curry was better than the noodles, but neither dish was actually spicy. For something marked Thai spicy, both were pretty mild and lacked the bold flavor I was expecting. The vegan Pad See Ew was the biggest letdown. It had a very overpowering mushroom taste, and some of the mushrooms seemed thick and undercooked, which made the dish hard to enjoy. The tofu also looked slightly burned. On top of that, the pickup experience felt rude. When I arrived, the lady at the table handed me my food and walked away without saying anything. Since it was my first time there, I stood by the door for about a minute unsure if that was my full order or if she was coming back, but she never did. Overall, I feel this place is overly hyped. I really wanted to like it, but based on this experience, I would not recommend it.

I came here for lunch after getting my car serviced in Rocklin. The place looks established for several years with nice Asian decorations. There was a good sized lunch crowd so service was a little slow as there was only 1 waitress. The menu revealed both Thai and Chinese dishes. My pork dumplings were about average. My Panang curry chicken was well seasoned and mildly spicy but didn't have the basil flavor of my usual go to Thai restaurant in Folsom. Overall a very good meal.

Steamed pork dumplings... these were hard and chewy. Absolutely not worth it

I came in to order some dinner for my client. I walked into a not too busy restaurant just before 6:30 p.m. I ordered her a double shrimp with chicken Pad d Thai. She didn't want carrots, green onions, tofu, or peanuts. She also wanted streamed pork dumplings, so I got one of those, too. After putting in the order, it was $54 & change... I sat and waited for about 15 minutes at their bar top. Without my phone in hand, I read their menu and saw that it was happy hour. I only saw the HH menu for appetizers, which was $1 off selected apps. The color scheme inside is a cherry red in the walls with dim lighting. All the servers were very polite and from my angle, I can see the kitchen working hard. When I received my order, I decided to check it before I left. First, I was missing one the orders of steamed dumplings. Also, there was barely any shrimp, although I paid for extra shrimp. One of the servers could tell I had concerns and after asking me if I needed something, she took the Pad Thai back to the kitchen. Within minutes, I received the correct order of Pad Thai and the 2nd order of dumplings. I drove back to my clients house and I served her up half of her Pad Thai and gave her some dumplings, which came with a sauce. The dumplings were pretty tough. Hard to even cut through with a knife. The meat inside was not tender at all, but it was a big piece of ground pork, just not tender at all, so maybe it was overcooked. The sauce was pretty sweet. No spice at all. I tried a bite of the Pad Thai. It had really good flavor. I wish my client had gotten it with veggies, lol Although they forgot to give me an appetizer and the 2nd order of shrimp I paid for... their great customer service over came some of the frustration. Just not the part where the streamed pork dumplings weren't good. That was really disappointing. I look forward to coming back and trying different items on their menu!

Can they make meals not spicy at all? My sister picked this restaurant for her birthday dinner. I can not eat anything spicy.

Yes! Just ask for no spice or level 0 😊

What brand of red curry paste do you use?

Are they allowing tips again? I remember they didn't have tipping for a while because they paid their staff well, however recently we've been seeing the tip section back on the recipe..not sure if things have changed.

    We left a tip!

What is everyone's favorite dish here - I love their chicken pad Thai but wanting to branch out and try something new?

I ordered the Pad Mee Kow or Drunken Noodles with Beef just based off Yelp photos. I don't normally order this dish, but it's the best I've had. Noodles intact and not stuck together. Lots of beef. Not the most tender meat, so maybe pork would be better. On my next lunch visit, I ordered Pad Ka Prow with Ground Pork & Brown Rice and a small Crystal Noodles Soup. You can choose a spice level from 1 (mild) to 5 (most spicy). I chose level 3, but I probably would be happier with level 1 or 2. Choice of jasmine rice or brown rice. I enjoyed the chewy texture and appearance of the brown rice. Pad Ka Prow is tasty. I loved the Crystal Noodles Soup. It's seasoned well with lots of ingredients, like chicken, wood ear mushrooms, and Napa cabbage. There are 5 different soups that you can order as a Small portion, including Tom Yum, Tom Kha, and Wonton Soup. I look forward to trying more soups. I liked the ambiance, pretty Thai decor, muted green dining room, and easy listening music, often love songs. Thai Basil would be a good restaurant for a date. On Sundays, she's in the kitchen cooking and turning out amazing dishes as well! Last Sunday I brought vegetarian family over for lunch and we ordered my goto safe and tasty silver noodles. It is made of mung bean which gives this clear noodle look and quite chewy. The flavor is a good balance of sweet and savory but not spicy at all unless you tell them to. Wife had their spring rolls and kids had drunken noodles no spicy. They are very accommodating with all sorts of requests like no eggs no onion no garlic etc and wanting soft tofu rather than fried tofu. I saw how many new specials they have plastered on the window and inside entrance, I knew I had to bring my parents over this Sunday! We came in today and order the crying tiger. We do wish it to be rarer for more soft texture but the flavor was great. My parents liked the ocean in love with the lobster tail, shrimp, and scallops over spiced veggies. The BBQ pork ribs was another safe choice of mild and savory Sweet flavor while the meat was tender. I didn't try the tom yum shrimp fried rice but my parents liked it as it has coconut flavor and it was literally a mountain of fried rice! Spicy though and I had to refrain while letting my GI heal from recent injury. Upon placing the orders, the owner quickly came out to see if it was really us!
