Let me start off by saying: the dumplings were sooo yummy, I wish they came in a bigger serving! The fried calamari was fresh and hot when it came out. Super yummy appetizers. The pho could have some more flavor but that's just my preference. It was still yummy and was a big portion for one size bowl. The beef in the rice plate was delicious, perfect grilled flavor and the sides complement it well. There was more than enough food to take home leftovers. Did a quick pit stop for pho on our long drive and found this place in Roseville. Absolute gem of a pho restaurant! The staff are super friendly and the food is delicious. Not feeling well so ordered this to go. With a tip the bill was $40. The rare beef & brisket was skimpy and everything was extra. I added vegetables and all it consisted of was sprouts. I also ordered a wonton soup. That was huge disappointment because all I got was 2 dumplings in the whole container of broth. Let me start by saying this would've been worth the money if number one the vegetables were included, and second if the wonton soup actually had five dumplings minimum. I enjoy the pho (Vietnamese noodle soup). Rare beef is the favorite meat, the one that cooks in the heat of the broth. I also like to add tendon for its chewy texture. Lots of rice noodles. I do season the soup to taste. I was happily surprised by the real taro in the Taro Smoothie. So yummy! You can taste the taro. Blended drink. Loved it! All the fruit smoothies contain real fruit. Our ancestors from Saigon be rolling in their graves. One of the highlights of Vietnamese cuisine are the fresh herbs that are often used throughout their dishes. These add color, crunch, and flavor - sadly it was sorely lacking in the spring rolls that I ordered from this restaurant. Not only were they poorly wrapped, but the ratio of rice vermicelli noodles to lettuce and shrimp were so disproportionate. The spring rolls contained 3 ingredients - no fresh herbs or bean sprouts. They were a travesty to look at and a disappointment to consume. The only good part of the order was their generosity in giving two containers of their peanut dipping sauce, which was pretty tasty. Other than that, these spring rolls - a very basic Vietnamese dish - had nothing else going for them. I did not try anything else and it's possible that the pho is the star, but when you fail at such a simple item, I can't say I have much faith in any other items from the menu. read more

Was on my way home after fighting a cold decided to grab some chicken pho. Checked out the reviews and thought I'd give this place a try. One negative review stood out and it was that a customer was overcharged which I don't think would happen to me at all. I paid $18 and something change for chicken pho that I picked up. I have to say it was delicious and not too salty, good flavor and a quality of chicken looked and tasted really good. Had enough for two servings. I go to my credit card transactions and see that the employee charged me a $10 tip without my consent. I just went to pick up my food and do not typically tip especially for almost $20 soup. Just got off the phone with my credit card company to remove the unapproved overcharged fee. I will NOT be back due to the lack of integrity here. The servers never ask if you want refill on the water, etc. Skip the spring rolls since the wrap that is used feels like biting into plastic. Our most recent visit was on Sunday 11/5/23. At 8:30pm the lady waitress came up & said they were closing 15 minutes early @8:45pm instead of 9pm & said to pay the bill immediately. Though we came in @8pm & we were only half way done eating, I went & paid the bill & though I wanted to leave a zero tip I left a $1 tip more than she deserved for the crappy service & rude antics making regular customers feeling rushed to eat & leave, but because we were only half way done I left a buck so it wouldn't get any more awkward & we wanted a few more minutes to finish the pho. read more

A cold, blustery, rainy mid-April day gave me a hankering for some soup. We were running some errands around Roseville and Pho Hang caught my eye. I will never not turn down a steaming bowl of pho. Upon arrival, we were able to find a parking spot right in front of the restaurant pretty quickly. The spaces are a bit tight but not terrible. We were seated as soon as we entered even though we arrived right at the lunch rush. The servers cleaned our table in front of us and sat us down at a booth. My husband and I both wanted pho, so it was a no-brainer. Whenever we go try new-to-us Vietnamese restaurants, we always try their combo pho (dac biet). Both of our pho bowls came out quickly. There is only one size, and it is a great portion size. It is packed with tender meat. I loved that there was plenty of tendon and tripe in my bowl, which are two cuts that restaurants usually skimp on. The rest of the meat was thinly-cut and delicious as well. For only $16 a bowl, this is fantastic. The broth was nothing special and your "typical" pho broth, but was easily elevated with hoisin sauce and their house-made chili oil. I also loved that they gave us each a plate of fresh herbs as I love to add a lot of Thai basil to mine. For how busy the restaurant got as we ate, we still had a pleasant dining experience and we were satisfied with our meal. There is plenty of seating and accommodation for large groups as well as for couples and smaller groups. While Pho Hang is nothing out of the ordinary in terms of my pho standards, the amount of meat per bowl as well as the efficiency of service definitely hits the spot if you need your pho fix. Both of us completely cleared our bowls, including the broth. Pho Hang is a solid option for pho in Roseville if you don't want to go to Sacramento proper. Of course, I will continue my search for other pho spots in the Roseville area, as I like to have a few options in my arsenal of restaurants to support. read more

Pho here is good but not great. Their vegetables came out with a slug on it. Double check the veggies before putting in your soup. The service here is fast but needs to calm down a bit. I've been looking for a really good Vietnamese restaurant here in Roseville. I may have found it. My partner and I had a grilled pork and egg roll vermicelli bowl. It was quite good, made with fresh ingredients like crisp cucumber, carrots, herbs, and lettuce, along with a big serving of rice noodles. What was really amazing was the delicious and generous serving of grilled meat. It was flavorful and tender. The egg roll was crispy and a great accompaniment to everything in our bowl. Our only slight complaint would be the table side service. We were not checked on to see if we needed anything and our water was not refilled. The first thing I do when I get a bowl of pho is to try the broth without any added flavors. No lime/lemon, no siracha, no herbs. That's the only way to judge pho. This broth is fantastic! I ordered the large pho ga with chicken broth and it was on point. I would prefer dark meat but their white chicken breast is very good. Noodles were perfect and the portion is just right. Food was great as always, but I am disappointed because I paid $19.99 for a 16oz of hot chilli oil and this is what I got. Mind you, I ordered through DoorDash so I wasn't there to ask them about it. So I gave Pho Cali the same rating, but their Pho isn't as good as Pho Hang's. But the reason I gave Pho Cali the same rating because their service really carried them to an additional star. HERE at Pho Hang, the service is what many of us San Jose natives are used to when we go to all the best Pho Spots around Little Saigon. Those who know, know---no greetings and simply "You ready to order", then once they drop your food off you never see them again, and if you want a refill on water you hope its your lucky day---That kind of service? So I dont take offense because I grew up on that and thats just how they are. With that said, the Pho here is better if that is what you are after. Pho Cali got higher over Yelp score but I'm betting the service pushed them over. The broth here is just more flavorful and the meat more tender. Not to say Pho Cali is bad, this is just better on that front. HOWEVER, their Rice plates (com) are mid. I prefer the com tam at Pho Cali. It's better over there. But we are here for pho, if I was rating for rice plates, its a different story. SO if you want some decent Pho, this is is a nice spot.
