Great coffee! Great location! Great vibe! I really enjoyed myself at Dalian's Cafe. Nestled between the Biltmore and the Water Grill with sidewalk seating reminiscent of a European cafe, Dalian's provides the perfect venue where the busy city slows a bit to let you put down your phone and enjoy the old fashioned sport of people watching. With a carefully curated music playlist that enhances the atmosphere without drowning out the conversation, you'll quickly understand why it was hard to leave once my cup was empty. My only wish for Dalian's to really give it that vacation vibe... ceramic cups...Dare to dream! Thanks to all of this plus super friendly service, I'll be back for another (paper) cup.
Small little coffee place with a nice selection of pastries to choose from. I ordered the mushroom feta pastry and a cup of coffee from the nice gentleman at the register. I was able grab a seat at one of the 2 tables they have inside and they have a lot more seating in the front of the shop. It didn't take long for my food to warm up and it was warmed perfectly. The pastry tasted delicious. A bit savory and not sweet but paired well with my coffee. I would like to try some of the other stuffed croissants they had because they all looked delicious. I will just have to come back so I can try them all.
The service here is really good and the pasties look very fresh. I didn't try one though. The matcha is okay, they don't whisk it individually and pour it from a premade batch, so I didn't like it. Wouldn't get it again but would try the coffee or pastries.

I stopped by looking for a coffee but I know I'll be back for the pastries at Dalian's. I had a lavender latte and it was splendid, no complaints at all. I also had a toasted ham and cheese croissant which was great. They have a beautiful apple pastry (I thinkkkk it's a danish) that caught my eye but I'm not always a big fan of apple - would love to come back to try it though! Special notes for to the collection of orchids (my favorite) at the window and the black and white design - making the space modern and welcoming at the same time. The owner (i think) was very friendly and polite, making the ordering process easy. Happy to find great coffee in this quaint place tucked on a busy street.
If you're looking for a real cafe this is it. You can just tell off the ambiance and quality this is the real deal. Many coffee shops in Los Angeles unfortunately target aesthetics, are watered down, mostly sweet, not so great quality. This shop is truly inspired by European coffee which you can taste. I've been here several times and pass by almost everyday. I see the same people coming and enjoying coffee in the mornings with their pups or working on their laptops. It gives a very family and home feel. Before learning more about this shop, I figured they were inspired by European coffee based on the layout and how strong my coffee was. The owner is also here everyday which makes it even more special. I've gotten iced mochas and vanilla lattes. Service is always friendly, quantity is not tiny, and it's not overly sweet. I love tasting espresso in my drinks so this was very important to me. The vanilla or mocha was never overpowering. I would definitely come here again and recommend to anyone coming around DTLA. Really convenient location right next to hotel, was originally headed to my tried and true Starbies but saw this place and went inside. Got the hazelnut coconut iced latte, a little sweet but very good. A shot of espresso in the tiniest Togo espresso cup I've seen lol, I love it! A matcha latte, very good, and a Nutella chocolate bun. 5/5 for everything!

Los Angeles, CA. They serve exquisite organic coffee, teas, pastries and specialty drinks. Cafe's indoor black and white color scheme emits a classy french look. Its indoor and outdoor seats provide a relaxing atmosphere. I came here early Friday morning to grab a drink; it's one of my spontaneous LA adventure moment. I was greeted by a tall long with curly hair male staff. Server inquired if I was British? I politely said YEASSSS (I reckon what gave me away?) Lol. After perusing their menu, I decided to grab a hot Lavender Latte x plain Croissant. Both items were bloody fantastic. Coffee was jolting and smooth while the Croissant was fresh, flaky and soft. Prices were priced according to their standard market value. Service was spot on like white on rice. Seats were limited. Finding a street parking spot was quite challenging. (I parked 1 3/4 block) Overall, I had a nice experience and truly enjoyed my latte/croissant. I recommend you visit if you're in the area. So until then my loyal fans! :D lol.
A short walk from the Gas Tower Building, this small coffee shop has a New York-style vibe. It's tucked into a little corner with limited indoor seating and a few outdoor tables. Service was quick. For a fast bite, they offer ready-made sandwiches in the fridge and can warm them up in the oven if needed. The dirty chai latte was a bit overpowering for my taste, but I later learned it's customizable. Milk options are available, and most of their coffees are unsweetened, so be sure to share your preference when ordering.
The people working here are great very sweet and attentive!! Also coffee and pastries are amazing. Location is great small and cute.
A hidden Gem in Downtown LA! Attached to the historic Los Angeles Biltmore, Dalian has a charming European café vibe and everything you could want: delicious pastries, soothing coffee drinks, and even matcha! This spot was a delightful discovery during my stay in Los Angeles. I had been going to Starbucks every morning, but once I found Dalian, that completely changed. The owner, Dalian, is calm, courteous, and genuinely cares about crafting exactly what you're looking for. He takes his time and makes sure every drink is just right. Skip the Starbucks, on both corners, and treat yourself to something better, give Dalian's a try. You won't regret it!
Owner Dali is super friendly and welcoming. Anyone who needs a good matcha def stop by here instead of Starbucks (which I haven't had in years) I'm pretty picky with matcha it was pretty strong and was got the banana flavor which was different but delightful! Def support this local business if you are nearby, I will def be back due to the welcoming vibes.

I happened to be in Downtown LA and, as always, my wife and I were on the hunt for a good coffee spot. We came across Dalian's and decided to give it a try. We ordered a cappuccino, a ham and cheese pastry, and another pastry. The coffee was great, and the pastries were delightful. The service was excellent and made the experience even better. On a side note, I really needed to use a restroom during our visit. Although they don't have a public restroom, the owner kindly gave me access to the hotel restroom next door, which I thought was a very thoughtful gesture. Overall, this is a great spot and definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. I would happily recommend it and look forward to coming back. Dalian's café is one of my favorite coffee shops in Downtown. The selection coffee is similar to other coffee shops, but there is something that their coffee do taste like coming from baristas that really care how they pour their lattes. Also, the bean quality is at point. The service is great, they're never in a rush to get your order and would explain you anything if you have questions about the coffee. The ambiance is so cute, it reminds me to coffee shops in Spain and London with their tables outside in the e middle of huge buildings. I swear every time I go to the office I make sure to stop by to this cafe cus I love it. read more

Very friendly service and I loved that when I ordered a flavored iced latte, it wasn't too sweet. He had me taste it first and said he could sweeten it further if it wasn't enough - but it was perfect. I got the lavender and it wasn't overpowering. My partner ordered a hot latte (plain) and said it was good. Not the best in the city but if he was in the area he would know he could rely on this latte. He also got a ham and Swiss sandwich. The barista informed us that they get fresh sandwiches in daily from their baker. My partner loved it and felt like the $15 price tag was justified! I'd definitely go back but I wouldn't seek it out if it was out of my way. read more

Stopped by for a coffee and had a great experience. The coffee was fresh, smooth, and made exactly how I like it. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the shop had a clean, relaxing atmosphere. Amazing spot for coffee. I've come here two days in a row and plan on coming back the remainder of the time I'm in town! I order a hot latte and it's consistently really good, with a strong taste of coffee vs milky. I wanted to get a kouign aman but there were barely any pastries left at 8:15am on the first day. The second day there was a full case (7:30am) and had a hard time choosing. I tried the turkey and cheese croissant. The croissant itself was really good and flakey but the meats itself didn't have any flavor. The ricotta & cranberries danish was nice and flakey and pretty good. I'm going to be sad when I can't come here for a latte every day. Lol The cafe is very convenient to a bunch of hotels! The staff here are super friendly and there are 2 tables inside and a few outside. read more

New coffee shop in DTLA. I think I'm in love! Best Latte* in town (andante is the close second IMO) and that almond mocha croissant was just perfect, warm, flaky, chocolaty, and just the right amount of sweetness. it is huge. Dog-friendly with sidewalk seating. *I drink whole milk, always read more

Small menu, but the staff was able to make just about anything customizable, and he few pastries they did have looked delicious. Would return. read more

I think this is a new cafe in DTLA near the finance offices. The place is small and cute with a couple tables inside then a few outside! I really liked the bossa nova-y music playing inside - it was quite relaxing especially in a busy city like LA. I got the mocha almond pastry which was so delicious! I toasted it when I got back to the office and it tasted so fresh even though I took it to go. The service was also really good, the guy at the front was so helpful and patient with my group. Definitely recommend this place! read more

Amazing all around. We stayed at the Hilton across the street and noticed a steady stream of customers in and out of this little coffee shop. We looked at Yelp and decided to give it a try. Everything we had was delicious. The pastries were each warmed up. I also had oatmeal (not pictured) with hot milk that they provided. The coffee (not pictured) was a favorite and didn't make it back to the hotel room. My husband is incredibly picky with coffee so I was surprised when he said it was delicious after he took his first sip. My matcha was perfect. I asked for half the amount of matcha and to be sweetened with vanilla. We ended up going back a few hours later to get another coffee for the road. Overall, I would highly recommend coming here for your coffee and pastry needs. We would even stop by if we're ever visiting the area again. PS: if you're the guy who helped us, the ham & cheese was better. read more

Literally my new fave coffee spot, I quickly kilt the apple infused baked good, and then smashed the blueberry muffin! Love that they have lavender for hot matcha latte! Everett will be back! Now the test is walking there and back! read more
