I like a good honky tonk, I LOVE this one. I went for a concert, which I was already excited about but the building and staff are what made this such a pleasant experience. I have never been in a bar/concert where the floors are SO CLEAN it was awesome. The entire place in general felt clean. Good amount of security placed around the building, checking in with tickets was an easy experience, bartenders were super quick and efficient, all staff were kind. A man got sick near us and staff cleaned it up immediately which was great to not have to keep thinking about lol. Sold out show but we got in and out with minimal waiting. I cannot recommend this place enough. Great vibes all around!

Although I'm not a country fan, I went to Dallas Bull with my sister who was visiting. Honestly, I was dreading it. But I ended up being very impressed with this place. Super clean, not obnoxiously crowded (which I thought it would be). Good drinks and...even though I'm not a country music fan...good music. I enjoyed it!

Came the other night for date night to see Creed Fisher! The place was pretty busy and we were still able to find decent parking. I felt as if I was overdressed wearing wedges and a tank top. But that's ok Before even getting into the place my husband got carded - almost 30 - and had the worst experience. Ever. He looks really young, I get that. So him getting carded wasn't that big of a deal but the guy who carded him was a complete jerk and even asked my husband to open his Snapchat AFTER giving two forms of ID. Saying he could see my husbands birthday on Snapchat. Idk but we don't have Snapchat if that tells you anything. After standing there and showing him pictures of our family via Facebook - he finally let us in. I mean even the girl checking tickets was laughing and thought the whole process was ridiculous. My husband was so upset due to this and it was hard to enjoy the concert. The bartender was nice, drinks were fairly priced, and it looked like everyone was having fun, even the guy that was puking next to us upstairs! Tons of security - I just wish the night would've started better with someone better up front.

Paid $20 per person and we got the shitty drinks. Never come when they want that much to get in. Also, girls should be free!

Ask the Community - Dallas Bull

Is line dancing classes for beginners for women only? I would like to try but not sure if any men allowed and dont wanna look like a creep. Just wanted to learn country dancing.

Beginner line dance lessons are on Friday nights and Thursday nights are intermediate lessons, but also include some beginner dances as well. Both are attended by men and women.

Is this business gay and black friendly?

    No 😂😂😂

    Do they allow smoking?

There is a designated smoking room in the club but smoking around the dance floor/bar area is not allowed.

The food, the cocktails, the service and the ambiance are all excellent. My ONLY criticism is sometimes the music can be a little too loud for conversation, but this isn't always so. I'm a cocktail geek and have made multiple trips to The Aviary in Chicago. Believe me, The Aviary has nothing on the Tanto bar program. Cocktails are unique, creative, and delicious. Food was amazing, whether omakase or á la carte. Staff is attentive, fun and playful. Chuck and Nick anchor the beverage service while Tony and Ari will make you feel at home. If you are lucky you may get a visit from Chef Cody. Standout drinks: #1 is Seoul Food. Think the savoriness of a Bloody Mary but without tomatoes. Hard to describe but don't miss it! Other highlights include Opposite Day, Memory in Bloom, and Three Way. Season of Again pairs beautifully with the oysters. I hate to say I have a favorite restaurant, because I choose different places for differing needs, but Tanto has won my heart and tastebuds.

The hostess was pleasant when arriving and presented herself with exceptional sleek style. Someone brought me a palate cleanser drink which was rhubarb and lemongrass water. It was smooth and refreshing. The server guided me through the cocktail menu which was an exploration all its very own. I choose the cocktail called Opposite Day- Japanese whiskey, sweet Sauvignon Blanc, salted wine and roasted beets- twist on a whiskey sour but flipped! Oysters were light and fresh and the juice in the shell was precision clean. It really pops the flavors of the oyster. Yellowtail jalapeño handroll- it is designed to be eaten similar to a taco. The yellowtail was superbly fresh, the jalapeno was a mild touch to accompany the dish and didn't try to be the star. and the homemade soy sauce didn't over power the fish. Duck leg finished with a Szechuan spice and finished a pear au jus. The duck fell off the bone and was bursting with a complex blend of elegant flavors. As you check is presented they served you the tea of the day which was Hibiscus citrus Japanese tea in the most sophisticated teapot sitting on Japanese bamboo, which was a nice touch in the meal Upbeat modern music vibe Helpful, friendly weight staff that explains every item in detail as you order it, and when it brought to the table.

Locating this establishment was pretty easy. Parking was easier !! I located a space directly in front of the place. They also have parking lots every 1-2 blocks. Anyhoo, we had a 45 minute wait; cool. We sat in the car and people watched until it was our time to shine. Finally it was. Whew the entrance was nice. 1 way in and 1 way out of here !! That is what I was looking for, and that is what I got. Up first, I tried a $15 Grapefruit Moon. The bartender warned me if I don't like grapefruit, I won't like this drink. Holy smokes he wasn't joking. I was hoping the mezcal would cancel out some of the grapefruit, but it really didn't. Super duper strong grapefruit taste. Then, I tried a $15 Martini. It's a pretty standard dirty martini. I liked it, and it was fine. Good to see there is a place in Ybor with real cocktails, and not cheap awful cocktails served in a plastic cup. I didn't try any food or any other items. I'd just be a little worried that on a Saturday night during primetime there were like 10 people in here. Although, that's also why I walked in here because it was quiet and not crowded.

My husband started with the Mexican lager because it's light and has great body. It's one of his go tos. I started with their cherry cola hard cider. It's the first time I've ever had the cider and it was good, but I wish it would've had a little bit more of the cola flavor in it. The cherry was also pretty light, but you could smell it when you want to take a drink. For my husband's second drink, he switched to night swim, which is their Porter. He really liked. It said it was very light to drink, but had great flavor. Enough so that when we got home, he noticed that they sold a 12 pack in our local Publix and he picked one up. I chose to have the fallen fruit cider as my second one. It is their standard hard cider and it really is delicious. I know that they have distribution regionally, and I wish they would add their cider to it.
