These folks did a large pair of steel doors for our house…read more The finish did not hold up. The refinish did not hold up, it was literally falling off. It took weeks to set up a service call to repair the repair. As the day aproached a dear friend died. We tried several times a day to reach someone to reschedule - no luck. Left lots of messages. They called in the middle of the funeral wanting to know why no one was home. The service tech patched on place on the door - the most obvious one and didn't repair the other places. More weeks to set up another service call. Sure enough an other person milestone ended up on the day. So, the wife stayed home and missed the event. No one showed up. No one called to say they couldn't make it. Just left her there all day when she really wanted to be at the event. There is literally nothing that would let us recommend this company.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly The Good - the iron door…read more The Bad - purchase, design, and installation Freedom Iron Door (FID) states - make as many changes as you want to the design of the door before CAD sign off. The owner, Mika, was frustrated w/ the design changes & she threatened to cancel the order stating, "I don't have to put up with this." My concern was that they had my 40% deposit. After that outburst we only communicated via email. - Bluetooth lock - the project manager thought it was funny how sales never tell customers that the Bluetooth only works with a hub and hub is not included. Nothing on the paperwork indicates the need for a hub in order for that feature to work. - Installers will build wall 4.5" framing to support the 6" iron door frame - The right-side door frame over hangs an inch outside of the threshold. - once installed the painters will clean everything up (smudges, marks, etc) - o exterior side of the door has installation spray foam on the paint surface - the painter explains he does not handle that further stating, "you bought a warranty for that - right?" I was not aware the door was not warrantied. Suffice to say, the installation foam does not wipe off. Also shows spray foam around the edges of the door. o Interior side of the door had damage to the paint caused from installation - chipping, denting, black smudges, etc. - during the design phase I asked if the door will have powder coat finish - Mika' s response - YES. The 5/19 email below confirms the door was painted and does not have a powder coat finish. FID failed to notify me that they use spray paint - I work out of my home, and they filled my house with aerosol fumes for 27 minutes. I almost passed out on a business call before I realized what was happening. Had to tell the painter multiple times that he was not authorized to use aerosols inside my home. FID collection agent, Stephanie's states, "You just need to go for a walk and get some fresh air." I could not even lift my head and trying to walk is what caused the incision from a surgery 2 weeks prior to reopen. Their "bubble" was far from effective. The UGLY Lessons, - Ask your neighbors - sales said that FID installed my neighbor's door - after fact checking this statement, my neighbor used an entirely different company. Had I waited I would have used that other door company because of her glowing review. - Read reviews from multiple resources and recognize the red flag when you see employees' names as the authors of the 5star reviews for a company's product. - If you can, check with an architect - this door does not fit the wall framing so now every time I open it I wonder if the door is safe. - Check with your city permitting office - my city requires a permit be pulled when you enlarge a door. - Sadly, it may be best to record every conversation and video the install. I found this company in an online search. I was looking for a specific type of window. I had…read morealready done a search to find out which window manufacturers make the window I was searching for. Marvin was one of 4 manufacturers that build this specific window, which this company sells. Amazing Exteriors is close to my job, so I stopped by after work. I walked in the showroom and a lady came out from the back and greeted me. She asked what I was looking for and I explained the window type of window I needed. She then said we only take orders for 3 or more windows and they didn't have the type of window I was looking for. I explained to her I had already done online research and asked if they sell Marvin windows? She replied yes, so I said that Marvin does manufacturer that type of window. So, she said let me go speak to the salesperson in the back. By the way, he never bothered to come up front and speak with me. She came back and told me he said, "we don't do that." Not that Marvin didn't make that window, but we don't want your business! This company must have so much business that they don't need any new customers. The fact that you have a person that works for a company that doesn't even know the manufacturer they use makes a specific window I was looking for speaks volumes for me. And...the fact a salesperson doesn't even come out of his office to speak to a potential customer also says a lot! I own my home and have many things this company sells that I could need in the future other than a window. I found another company that actually wanted my business and solved the problem for me. Which after reading these reviews on Yelp I'm happy I didn't use Amazing Exteriors for the project. I would have given no stars if the site would have allowed. The wooden parts of our house (75% brick, 25% wood) were getting a little ragged around the edges…read moreand wanted to do something better than doing the usual cheap repairs and repainting, and decided to completely replace all the wooden parts with pre-painted Hardie board which lasts many years beyond the typical wooden siding. After speaking with various Hardie board contractors, we invited Tony Cicora, the sales and design consultant with Amazing Exteriors, to come out and get the ball rolling. He was absolutely awesome! He explained the whole process from beginning to end, how the work would be done down to the last detail, showed us a wide range of designs, and helped us with a design scheme for our house that my wife absolutely loved, and got the paperwork started, including taking care of the permitting process with the city. I know we asked about a million questions, and Tony took the time to answer them all. (Thanks Tony!) As we couldn't afford to do everything our house needed this year, we split it into two parts with the main wooden parts of the house being replaced this year as Phase I, with plans to replace the eaves and soffits next year under Phase II. We appreciate Amazing Exteriors was willing to accommodate us by making the project more affordable by splitting things up. Soon afterwards Amazing Exteriors project manager, John Friesen, reached out to us and came by to get the critical measurements needed to order the materials needed for the job. We asked more questions and John took the time to answer them as well. After the permitting was done, the team showed up, stripped down the wooden parts to the studs, replaced anything rotten or sketchy, installed insulation where it was needed, installed OSB, then a high quality weather barrier, flashing etc, an additional layer of foam insulation that was molded to the Hardie board, then the Hardie board, and then caulked it all up. As far as I could tell, the construction method they used was superior to the original construction used when the house was originally built. After the team left, I was contacted by Rucheli Silva, the Quality Inspector for Amazing Exteriors. She let me know she was there to address any concerns or issues we might have had during the entire process so she could address them and get them resolved. Fortunately we only had a few small issues that were immediately resolved and addressed by the onsite foreman Delberto (sorry, I didn't catch his last name). There were a few out of scope things I needed to complete such as replacing the outside eave lights, and replace the backdoor fixture and outlets with new ones, and a new doggie door, and once I was done with those details, Kenny Griefnow came by to take care of the final punch down lists items that needed addressing after the main team had left, like last spots that got missed or anything else of concern to us, of which he did an outstanding job of addressing, and leaving no stone unturned. All that needed addressing was to caulk the inner side of a one of the windows (which was difficult to see so I can see how that happened), and to place a piece of support siding under the new outlet that had been installed, and to caulk around that, and caulk around where I had installed the new doggie door, all things which I had installed after the team had left. Overall impressions? The wife and I absolutely love the work that was done from the quality to the final appearance. I'm an engineer so I totally appreciated the effort that was taken to make sure everything was rebuilt even better than when the house was new. My wife and I both love how great it all looks, and we won't have to worry about anything for many years to come. As far as Amazing Exteriors, their people and the work done, I have absolutely no reservations about them and the quality of their work and would go with them again in the future in a heartbeat. If you read down to here, sorry for such a long review, but I did notice some past reviews that were less than spectacular, but my take away from all this is that Amazing Exteriors is working hard to address those short comings by putting into place the people and processes to make sure they surpasses all expectations of the customers they serve. They certainly impressed me and frankly, I am very hard to impress and I wanted folks to know they are trying really hard to earn your business as a Premier contractor. They have put into place one of the most generous warranty programs I have ever seen anywhere, so they mean business when it comes to customer satisfaction and a job well done.

Previous…read moreto this: the old siding had blown off the side, the siding on the skirting was buckled and there were parts that had to be replaced before the wrapping and siding went up. It was exciting to see the outcome. They got a custom door made for the house and it looks epic. The team went above and beyond. They put up the outside Flood light, and a roof cap blew off the roof and José went up and reattached it. Standing outside admiring the work we can say that this was money well spent. We have no regrets. The electric bill has come down this month and the outside noise is so much less then it was do to the house being wrapped and the insulated siding put on. This is such an amazing transformation from before to now. We highly recommend Lone Wolf Exteriors for the beautiful work they did on the whole house. When the team completed, cleaned up front and back yards it didn't even look like they were there. 2.5 days to complete 1500 SQ ft. The next day we missed them it was to quiet. Remember the name LONE WOLF EXTERIORS when you want it done right!

The trim around my French doors was supposed to be painted before shipped to me and it wasn't. So, I have to have it painted on my own. They came back to repair some of the messy caulk work they did and it was better but still subpar. The fact that I paid $24k+ for three windows and a pair of French doors and it did not include finished trim and everything around them still looks old even though the contract said they would replace the wood around the windows just makes me mad. I paid half that for all new windows and a sliding glass door throughout my own with the exception of the sunroom which was part of this scope.
