Red flag alert. Terrible response time. After being highly recommended by several neighbors who had used this company several years back, I tried to see about getting new entryway doors, however it has been like pulling teeth to get the sales women assigned to me to respond. I emailed photos of what I have and what I am interested in on a Thursday morning, received a short reply with a standard quote that did not entail what I had asked for Monday around noon. Emailed immediately back and no reply until Tuesday afternoon. Emailed the photo from the company's instagram of what I want, asked for a quote, and a day later, no response. I think this company must have changed hands, or maybe the saleswoman is just simply terrible. read more

Spent 5K on front door. I asked for oak several times and each time the salesman told me the merits of mahogany. It's a thousand cheaper, it will take longer to deliver, many customers are pleased with mahogany, it will last a long time,etc. I reluctantly agreed to mahogany, but every time I look at the grain, I regret it. Also had to call ADT to replace door sensor for $161 after Dallas Door re attached it twice and and it fell off. I do not recommend them. read more

I am not 100% satisfied with the outcome of my back door project. The door was initially installed to align with the interior wall, which left it looking crooked on the outside. All good as that is common with these old homes in Oakcliff. They came back out and readjusted the door so that it aligns on the outside and has an "illusion" of alignment on the inside. My issue is primarily with the painting and finishing. This was a 4k+ door and I am not happy with the final finished product. I don't think these installers are painters and I was left with overpainted areas on the outside trim and of most concern, the interior trim is not aligned, not smooth and has messy areas of caulking and dripped paint that was left behind. I've included before the fix and after the fix photos showing what I've described. I was initially excited to work with this company as they had gotten such great reviews but I've come to regret my decision based on the final outcome. I feel like my concerns were met with some concern but I don't feel like they have gone above and beyond to ensure that I am 100% satisfied. read more

This company is a joke! Our $6,000 doors have cracked to the point that sunlight is coming through them. After their admitted manufacturing flaws they wanted me to pay $2,800 to have the doors repaired. ARE YOU SERIOUS! The finally came off the cost and I was to pay just the labor but then, I'd have to pay someone else to restain the doors. After all was agreed on it's now been 5 months and they've completely ghosted me. read more

Working with Dallas Door Designs was a wonderful experience, start to finish! From our initial consultation with Sergio, to designing our door with Jami, to the installation -- the entire process was five stars. Our new door is absolutely beautiful and completely changes the look of our home, and we feel we were treated honestly and fairly throughout. We were so impressed with the installation crew -- they came in one day and did all the necessary brick and trim work around the door, so that when they left the door install was complete with no loose ends to follow up on with another company. The guys were so friendly and worked hard all day to get the job done. We really appreciated the care they took with our home during the install as well. They taped off and covered their work area to prevent any dust from coming into the house, and when they left they even swept, mopped, and sprayed down our front porch. Apart from the gorgeous new door, we would not even have known a large construction project had happened, as they left everything sparkling clean. Dallas Door Designs came and measured, explained the process in detail. They showed us many different styles, explained several options for our new door. Based on what we needed we narrowed it down to 3. DDD was able to make a thick door 2 1/4" we had many options on glass too. They removed our old 40+ year old door and installed the new door complete with a mortise entry set lock. The installation crew knew exact what to do, and was very meticulous, and thoroughly cleaned and left my entry area spotless. Hats off to an excellent group . read more

We had them build replacement French doors for us. The doors are absolutely beautiful - I have no complaints about that. However the installation crews were less than impressive. The first crew patched together 2 trim pieces around the door instead of installing one long piece. The caulking where the trim and door jamb met the floor was super sloppy as well. We had them come back to replace the trim piece properly and this crew was super sloppy with the caulking as well. Overall the door is lovely but for the price I expected the finished product to look more professional. read more

The installers were very nice and prompt and did a beautiful job. They even reinstalled our Ring doorbell and connected the alarm sensor and added a peephole. Will use again in the future. read more

I am very pleased with my doors from Dallas Door Designs. I gave them the designs that I wanted for my new front door and side door on my 82 year old house. They did a CAD drawing on both - I approved it and the doors were executed and installed. My old front door was very hard to open and close due to its age. They had to rebuild the frame for my new front door because it was crooked after 82 years. The new door fits like a dream! The quality of wood used and the paint job on the doors is superb. Beware... Dallas Door Design built & installed a french door to replace a sliding glass door for me in Aug 2016. The install went well but after 2 &1/2 years the door looks terrible! The exterior side of the door is now warped from the rain & the paint is chipped. VERY POOR QUALITY WORK. We paid $3000.00 to this company & reached out to them for help. Was told to contact the "warranty" office, but on one ever called us back. Reached out to the owner with pictures & never got a response from him either. We are now having to make these repairs ourself & it's costing us additional money. We are very disappointed. read more

We had Dallas Door Designs install our new front door and they did an amazing job! We sent in our measurements for an estimate and Sergio came out to finalize everything for our estimate. They were so easy to work with and go through all of our options for color and glass. We replaced a wood front door and window with an entire iron unit. From the time Sergio first came to our home to take measurements and provide a quote until job completion, this was a very positive experience. Sergio listened to our questions, answered without trying to influence, and guided us perfectly in our choices. Was accommodating of our request to provide our own handleset and lock that was not one of their preferred. The timeline was exactly as estimated and the installation, which included demo and haul away, went off without a hitch. My smart lock and Ring doorbell were working within a couple hours of their finishing and my setting up. Install took one day, just as they estimated. The entire crew from designer, craftsmen, and installers were very professional and courteous to work with. Very timely regarding communications. I normally don't recommend anybody for anything because everyone's experience can be different. Not only is the paint chipping in the trim but apparently the door was installed to high. There is a 2.5" block on the bottom which has caused a huge tripping hazard!! I am so pissed regarding this whole door situation! Do not hire these people! read more
