Head and Tails sounded good. I get Jackson together and off we go. He's not a fan of the car. Nothing good ever happened to him after a car ride, save for today. He was wound up by the time we arrived. I talked with the Groomer and she got her friendly dogs in the back. I got Jackson out and he was already getting twitchy. I was there to hold Jackson. At 23 pounds. He's a Big Boy. When he gets mad, he can be very hard to control. I put a towel around Jackson to control him more. The Groomer was fast and as soon as she stopped touching Jackson, he calmed down and gave her a soft meow. I think he realized what happened and was happy. He was definitely more relaxed on the way home and took a minute to jump out of his cage at home. He usually runs from his cage and hides for a while. Head and Tails is my GOTO for Pet Grooming. At $10.00 they may be doing Jackson's nails from now on.

No funky smells and miraculously not hairy (if you know you know). I am a former professional bather and groomer and the facilities are great and EXTREMELY reasonably priced. They offer everything you might need to get your dog squeaky clean. All brushes, scrubbers, combs, cotton balls, ear cleaner, shampoo and conditioner were included in the price. The tubs have great water pressure and temps and the force dryers are fairly quiet for force dryers, but they do offer ear protection for your pup. The owner (Dal? I'm awful with names and a bit hard of hearing) gave me all the shampoo I needed to thoroughly bathe my very dirty, hairy poodle. She even allowed me to stay and use her facilities to use my own grooming tools to do a full almost 3 hour groom at no additional charge. Overall this is the best self wash experience I have had. We will definitely be coming here regularly.

The list of PupScrub dog grooming services is clear, concise and complete. PupScrub grooming costs are reasonable. The appointment was arranged, a partial deposit was provided and we'd got a reminder text with all the appointment information. On the day of the appointment, the groomer, Casper, greeted Odo and I warmly. Odo happily took to Casper right away and I felt very comfortable about leaving a Odo in Casper's care. We were looking for a place closer to home to take our dog for grooming, as our previous groomer…read morewas a half hour drive away and essentially took two hours out of our day to drop off and pick up. We saw Pup Scrub on our way to the Gresham Farmers Market and looked them up. The scheduling process is quick and easy- you can book online and communicate with a real person via text message. You do have to pay a deposit up front to reserve your spot, but that is taken off your total after your appointment. The hours are very flexible and accommodating, and they even have a pick up/drop off service if you are without transportation or don't have time to make the trip. As far as the grooming, the groomer always checks in with you on what you want, but they also keep track of what was done previously. We keep our dog's cut longer in the winter, and the groomer did a great job judging the length I was going for without exact measurements. The groomer will also give you an estimate of how long it will take (usually no more than 2-3 hrs) and text you with any updates. You can also ask the groomer to give your pup a purchased treat after the cut! Prices are consistent with the cost of everything going up.

I drive across town to take Hobi to her, I use the time to go sit at Edgefield (which isn't even ten minutes away). It's a nice treat for both me and Hobi!
