I normally order delivery but was in the area and decided to dine in. The softshell crab was delicious and wonderfully crispy on the outside and tender in the middle. The Alaska roll was on point. The tteokbokki was a little watered down and mild.

Tasty and modern Korean (Japanese?) place on the SW side of Rupert and 22nd. Parking is available just E of the building. There are also plenty of spots on the side streets. Place is nice and modern. Building is relatively new, after all. Staff are friendly and professional. Special mention. The soup bowls seem to come in different sizes, depending on the type. My spicy soft tofu stew was snack sized. It was much smaller than my friend's pork bone stew, even though the pricing difference was only $1. I wish I had known this beforehand. Quality is there, but honestly I felt a bit ripped. Be sure to check with the server about portion size. Another friend had the beef udon and the portion size was also noticeably larger than mine. Maybe I just got unlucky with my particular dish. Moral of the story - skip the pork bone stew if one is hungry. I also had the scallop tataki roll. Pretty tasty. Pretty sure I'll be back at some point. Still a bit salty over the portion size though. Sigh.

Food came in hot and fast! Everything that we had were nice and crispy! Staff were very nice and very friendly. Refills on the side dishes was a nice touch! The place had a very nice setting and ambiance!

I was SO fortunate to try this place for the first time by taking advantage of one of their Ubereats deals (& I have been ordering from them consistently ever since)! Behold the glorious scallop rolls with salmon roe & lightly flame roasted on top ... so so decadent and delicious. This is what keeps me coming back. And all their other dishes pictured (tempura, potato cakes, dynamite roll, salmon - were generous and delish as well. I think I've ordered at least 5 more times from this place after these pics - their bibimbap bowls, japchae & sushi party trays are all fab. I need to visit this place in person one day! I absolutely love this place after the first visit. They recently are under new management 2 weeks ago. We ordered Chicken teriyaki Tofu soup Seafood pancake I forgot to take pictures of the other food because I was hangry. BUT as a horary Korean. It passed. Everything was soooo good. I wanted to go back the next day . Customer service was good, they checked in on us every so often to give us more tea or water The chicken was crispy like KFC. Which was soooo good. And had lots of veggies with it.

New spot in the neighbourhood that offers both Japanese and Korean food, and the Korean food has GREAT AFFORDABLE prices!! Service was great, ambience is okay, they could use abit more decor but what's important is that the food is great!! Will be coming back for sure. My least favourite was the seafood pancake

I've honestly been waiting for quite a while for a great sushi spot to open up near me. Finally, this void has been filled. And as a bonus, they serve Korean food as well. I've ordered a ton of sushi from Dami. I don't have any real complaints about their food. I like their selection of rolls to choose from. The Dami Roll is a personal favourite of mine. Their dynamite and house rolls are also really great. My family at times also grabs their chicken for dinner. It is really good chicken and I think among the better ones in the neighborhood. I think the family size and how much you get is a fair transaction. I also think their batter and resulting chicken is just the right amount of crunch and crisp built up. Love Dami and their food. My biggest fear of working in the office again is that I can't grab takeout from Dami as often. One of my favourite spots in the neighbourhood.

A new spot for Japanese and Korean food! This hidden gem is located on 22nd ave and Rupert St. Since the eateries nearby were closed due to construction, Dami is a great addition to the neighborhood We dined in so we can try the fresh Korean fried chicken and it did not disappoint. We were glad to have ordered the Family Portion with half sweet & spicy and half original. We also got a sushi roll and 2 pc nigiri sushi The Fried chicken was juicy and crispy It was a lot of food for 2 people but we didn't mind the leftover chicken for the next day, it was still crispy! The Chopped Scallop Tataki roll was pretty tasty! They have so much to offer like bento boxes for lunch, Poke bowls, and Korean dishes like japchae and tofu soup. I would recommend giving Dami a try

This is a korean running restaurant but sells both korean and Japanese food! They opened in our neighbourhood recently and we saw it was highly rated, so we decided to give it a try. We know some people only like Japanese food and do not open for korean food. But some of course love both Japanese and korean food. We are the later. We ordered their highly recommended tofu soup with seafood and rice combo, half and half fried chicken (original and sweet and spicy), house roll, Dami castle and salmon with sockeye Oshi sushi. Wow amazing! We were so happy that we tried them all. The quality was so good. The flavour and everything else were very balanced. It's not like one dish was better than others. We would love to go back and try other dishes next time. There is street parking and a few parking spots behind the restaurant. Customer service was fine. Pricing is reasonable. We ordered takeout and we were surprised that they asked us to wait for 40 mins. It's quite long for takeout. This is like the time we waited for Uber Eats but we literally went there to pick up the food after ordering on phone. It means their business is probably doing well and taking a lot of orders. I hope this restaurant will continue running well. It's always good that local businesses are doing well. Agree?!

Came in on a rainy Saturday afternoon, welcoming staff and cozy place. The food was out fast and was tasty. Both dishes had the right amount of spice and the banchan were so good as well! This place is perfect if you're craving Korean food or Japanese food. They had an assortment of Korean classics and a great amount of Japanese food to choose from.

The music they were playing were songs like Big Dawgs, Mill Dolla Baby, etc. The squid balls appetizer had very little squid. There were 5 balls and 1 had no squid. The Dami Roll was crunchy though. It also said if you left a review youd get free appetizer but they still charged me. Free guava candies when paying.

We ordered jap chae, kimchi rice, karate, edamame, saba takoyashi and yam tempura.

We walked in with 5 people and no reservation, but were able to get seated immediately in one of their large tables in the middle. Between the 5 of us we ordered the bossam, spicy galbijjim, seafood pancake, and stir fried tteokbokki. This was more than enough food for us. They also gave a few banchan and bowls of rice. The bossam and seafood pancake were stellar - probably the best bossam I have ever had tbh! The meat was so tender yet flavorful and the sides made the perfect wrap. The seafood pancake was extraordinarily crispy and delicious with the sauce. While the galbijjim was good too, I was expecting the short ribs not the large back ribs. The tteokkbokki was just average. Definitely worth a stop!

Highlights for me were the seafood pancake--thick, crispy, and loaded with seafood--and the bossam, which was delicious with all the proper accompaniments. The japchae was my favorite: chewy and not overly sweet, which is refreshing compared to many Korean restaurants in NYC. The dumplings were good but fairly standard, nothing standout. We also had mackerel, which looked good, and the tteokbokki came with beef, which the kids loved. Despite all the food, my son only ate white rice--sigh. Service was very kind and attentive. They brought kids' plates and utensils without us even asking. Would definitely come back.

They answered all my questions and offered recommendations, and were very welcoming. Nam San seems to be very popular for their Soondae (blood sausage). However, I've never really tried Soondae before and I was feeling nauseous on the day of my visit--so I opted for something more mild and less "adventurous" instead. I will definitely be back to try their Soondae next time though. Daeji Gukbap 10/10 This boiled bowl of stew was exactly what my upset tummy needed. The creamy broth warmed me right up and soothed my stomach so well. It was the only thing I was able to keep down in two days. There was also a generous amount of tender and flavourful pork inside. This bowl of stew honestly reminded me so much of the one we tried in Busan. Definitely recommend it to anyone who likes stews. There was no gaminess at all, and yet the soup was still so full of flavour. Absolutely delicious. One of the three…read moreremaining stalls in the Robson Public Market food court, Nam San specializes in pork offal and homemade Korean blood sausage (soondae), incorporated into a variety of dishes. I always order the same thing, a mixed pork offal and soondae soup. You can choose the spiciness level when you order but they also offer red pepper flakes and fish sauce on the side to add to taste. It comes in small and large, with a side of pickled radish, roasted seaweed, and white rice. Even with the small, you get a lot of meat in the hot stone bowl and it is so comforting. The offal is super tender but the star here is definitely the soondae. Pork blood and vermicelli with spices are encased in an intestine casing, making for a unique springy texture. It's even more tasty when you dip into their homemade fish sauce and the stew warms you to the bone. I love supporting small mom and pop shops, and with how tucked away this place is on the busy Robson strip, I'll definitely make an effort to frequent them time and time again. Please pay them a visit and try their unique offerings out!
