All seating at this venue was general, because it's basically one big grassy hill. With that said, you'll want to bring a low lawn chair and/or blanket and then find your spot on the grass. There was a dance pit right in front of the stage, and anyone could go down to it. I was impressed by how good the sound was especially for an open venue. Yes, Ozeki is a cheap sake that you typically get at a Japanese restaurant, served as a hot sake…read more(i.e. atsukan). HOWEVER, what an epiphany after talking to Ozeki staff and sampling their most basic sake that was poured -- it was GOOOOOD. Served at a room temperature, this sake that is sometimes sold as cheap as $5 per 1.8L, was very rich and flavorful. They said that this cheap sake is usually their first choice of sake because no imports can beat freshly made one. Unfortunately, in many cases stores and restaurants have Ozeki that's more than few months old (or sometimes a year old). They said pretty much all sake should be consumed young, even if it is not "nama" (i.e. unpasteurized). Ozeki does not offer regular tasting/tour at the facility, so call ahead for a special appointment if interested in visiting.
