A bag of Timothy flake and the expired bag of Oxbow young rabbit food. Got a replacement without any issue!

I got an expired bag of young rabbit food here. The worker who helped me mentioned the bag was smelly and dirty and tried to get me a different one but could not find anymore. She ended up wiping the dirt off the bag and when it was handed to me, I did not think to check the expiration date. A week later when I opened it and noticed the foul smell, I checked the date and it was expired 2 months ago. Everyone was very nice the first time I was there and also very gracious the second time I stopped by to get a replacement. The workers wore masks, so safer than going to Trikee Tack, where the owner won't.

Great Deal on Wild Bird Food! We picked up a 25lb. While we were there browsed the merch. Well stocked and interesting items with nice presentation. Love the way they have the pet food stored on the metal rack with trash cans on their sides. (see pic) I almost left with a large chunk of pink Himalayan salt. A fraction of the cost from the new age stores and beautiful... they are for the horses and prices accordingly! Also some really clever cards and gift items! Worth a visit even if you don't have a horse.

Damoor's is always a friendly, helpful, and quick stop! I am actually horseless-- I come here to get food and hay for my two pet bunnies. I can get hay and pellets for them that are way healthier and cheaper than the pet store stuff. And in bulk! If you need rabbit food, this place is well worth a special trip!

I'm getting a guinea pig so I wanted to find a local place that sold hay. $8 for a flake of fresh timothy hay is a deal in comparison to $8 for less than 48oz packaged hay at a big name chain. I also appreciate that they're thinking about public health safety at this time, and the people at the counter are helpful and pleasant to speak with.

My grateful, happy horse loves Damoor's!

Smells like leather. It really does. Probably because of all of the leather based goods in there.

This is the neighborhood "mom and pop" type pet store. It is quite unkempt on the interior, but…read morethey have a good selection of live animals, feed, and supplies. FYI I come here for aquarium needs. Pros: - accommodating staff. Requested a plant that didn't have a label and the employee asked her boss and they were able to sell it to be for a great price - great selection of reptiles (snakes, lizards, etc.) - one of the few places that consistently has springtails or isopods - I don't talk to people but every time I've shopped at the store there always seems to be a good conversation happening - prices seem standard, though I've compared and they often have slightly lower live aquatic animal/plant prices. Support local! Cons: -not the friendliest staff, I often don't get a "hello" at the register, let alone be told the total amount -There's been an unused, dirty fish tank wall as long as I can remember and it's just in the way and ugly (but i understand the struggles with hoarding) - they don't have a lot of aquarium plants and most plants do not have prices. -understaffed it seems, so be patient with them (waited about 30 mins to be helped cause there was only one person working the aquarium area) - bird cages look unhealthy The place needs to be cleaned up. The staff needs to have better work ethic. That being said. Scales N Tails has been my go to pet store since living in Burbank. I have conures, but I refuse to buy anything for my birds here. BUT I do also have paludariums and a pond and this shop has provided me with most of my live animals and plants. I have not had any issues with disease or mortality. Not the best, not the worst, but definitely one of my favorite places to shop!

They have such a large variety of aquatic animals and reptiles! It really feels like a mini zoo when you come in here. There's a very small parking lot located out front but there's lots of street parking. Also lots of small businesses in the area to check out and support!
