I've been going to Da Moor's for years. They are always friendly, helpful and welcoming even when I look like I just finished cleaning a stall. They have a great selection from muck buckets to clothing to medical supplies to equestrian gifts. The man who wears a baseball hat is incredibly knowledgeable about hay. And they will special order items and give you a call when they arrive. To top it off, their prices are usually no higher than those at more shabby looking tack and feed stores. I bought a pair of boots from Damoor's last month and when I picked up the boots and tried them on Bree told me that it was normal for them to be as tight as they were. I've never had an issue when buying boots here so I took her word for it. I wore them around my house for a couple weeks and could not get them zipped up all the way. Tried riding in them once but couldn't because they were cutting off my circulation in my calf's and kept unzipping. My trainer told me that because of their error in sizing me that they would for sure take the boots back. So I called and explained everything that was going on with these boots and they told me they'd have to look at them and see. I brought the boots in to them and because of a small rub mark on one of the boots they told me they couldn't take them back. I was saving up for a while to buy these boots and I don't make a lot of money to just be out 400 dollars like that. Terrible customer service and probably will never buy boots from here again.... employees need to be trained to fit people in the correct boot size. They could have taken them back and sold them at a slightly discounted price because they barely looked worn at all. Hopefully I can sell them and get new boots soon because I am in desperate need of new ones. read more

We walked into Damoor's without an idea in the world what we'd find. Immediately, Kathy approached us and started to show us around. I LOVE this place! The 16 year old tried on 10,000 different outfits and Kathy was nothing but supportive and helpful. Fantastic selection and absolutely no fussy or impatient vibe. There are beautiful boots, lots of riding gear, (little little kid sizes, too. So cute!) jewelry, home accents, feed, bridles. I know nothing about riding, but I came away with an understanding of the camaraderie and warmth equestrians seem to share. We met Michelle, an owner, I believe, also so lovely and helpful. They have wood pellets! For $7 a bag! This is often used for horse or other animal bedding, but many people - like us! - use it for puppy litter. So instead of paying $15 a bag at Petco come here and pay half as much for a bag that is twice as big! Smells fresher too! I swear it does work ;) read more

When the local Home Depots ran our of hay I turned to Damoor's for my Halloween decorative needs. Damoor's serves the equestrian community in Burbank and as such has plenty of hay (straw) year-round. It turned out that the bales were cheaper here than at Home Depot; about $2 less at $11 per bale. I also learned that they will not take the unused straw for health reasons even if you just want to give it back. Inquire with the stables in the area to see who will take it once you tear down your Halloween set-up. read more

Here is a nice little place for all if your tack and feed needs for your horse. It caters to English riders as far as tack is concerned. I came here for a special feed for my horse but find other little treasures as well. The shavings are a good price too! It's comparable to East Valley Feed and tack. The help here is knowledgable but can be a little bit snotty. There is also a really good saddle repair man onsite too. He has a shop just to the West of the store and really does a great job on repairs of all kind to saddles or anything leather. read more

All those years struggling with my old feed company where you had to place your order during their working hours and a week in advance...not to mention the lack of variety and inconsistent quality of hay... Damoors has been delivering to us now for two years- and wow, what a difference! I can call in my order at any hour - the quality is excellent, the staff is knowledgeable, patient (my messages are always long) and incredibly helpful. These women have ALL been genuinely welcoming and have terrific horse experience which they share generously! This place is pricey, but if you're a serious rider, you will not find a better tack shop in SoCal. An excellent selection of apparel, gear, helmets, saddle pads, boots (even custom!), barn/stable supplies, and horse health items/ointments/etc. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. If you have a question anything from "what's the best treatment you have for an abscess?" to "which paddock boot is comfiest if I'm on my feet all day?" to "which gloves are best for dressage schooling shows?"... just ask and they'll give you an honest answer about the best product (they'll even steer you away from something more expensive if they think something else is better for you!). I ride way out in Moorpark, but this is my go-to spot! read more

Came here for the first time today to pick up emergency supply of Oxbow rabbit pellets (usually I buy from rabbit rescues) and to also inquire about bulk hay. Jackie was super helpful and friendly, she was informative and allowed me to look & feel the different hay varieties to check quality. I ended up walking away with some great Timothy hay at an amazing price. The only down side was I couldn't purchase the Orchard hay unless I could buy 70lbs of it - otherwise, excellent find! read more

I can't recommend this tack & feed store more. I had been away from horses for over 15 years. I rescued a mustang in December 2013. The folks at this store (all of them) are so kind and helpful. I found the best farrier in the world for my horse thru an employee that gave me a recommendation after I described my guys special needs. The store has everything I need. Damoors - they deliver, they have a wide variety of horse and pet food/products, they deliver, they have a great staff and they deliver. A lowpoint was when their barn caught on fire and the store cat perished, but, I'm glad they came back. DaMoors is like a family (they are right?!), I ordered custom DeNiro boots there, and they were fantastic to work with. Boots were PERFECT. I WISH I had done that with my first pair! Used to love this place the last couple times I've been in there they were so rude I will not be returning. Their prices are good and the quality of their hay is excellent but I will not put up with being barked at like I am needing training. Last time I was there I got a bale and brought bags (once upon a time I would get two-string bales but they stopped carrying them, last time I didn't bring bags for the bigger bales because I didn't know and they were quite testy with me, this time I brought the bags and was pleased I remembered) and the sweet gentleman who got the hay for me was helping me to bag it up. The woman with black hair raced out of the building and scolded us in the most demeaning way -"You KNOW he's NOT supposed to help you with that! You need to do that yourself." OK. I didn't know that. There were no other customers waiting and I just figured it was good customer service. Since I had my 2 year old with me and am also pregnant it's not super easy for me to be busy, bending or lifting but I guess that doesn't matter. I will be getting my hay down the street where they offer to bag at no extra charge and actually speak nicely to their customers. I'm sad about it because I've been coming here for years and it felt like visiting friends but no more. read more
