I just had Dan the plumber do a hot water and main water shut off valve replacement located in my water heater closet. The original one were the round turn knob type called gate valves. Those tend to leak a lot if you turn them off or on a few times. Sometimes the leak never will stop unless you place the packing inside. I decided to have my leaky gate valve replaced with the handle type sit off valves call ball valves. They are more dependable to me against future leaks. Dan finished the entire job just about an hour. He works very fast and efficient. He communicates very well and replies back to all my messages in rocket fast time. Well wife decided to redo the kitchen so we have new countertops New drawers new kitchen sink and didn't anticipate the plumbing issues involved with a sink of greater depth than we had previously. The kitchen looked great but couldn't use sink or new dishwasher. Called Dan on Saturday he was out Monday and within 2 hours, our new kitchen was back in business. It was Kamehameha Day so he brought a helper in his young son who helped Dad was extremely polite and well mannered so you knew he was raised well. Highly recommend. The tech was excellent but make sure you get a quote in writing, i was quoted $140 for one toilet bit while the tech was here i had him look at a couple of other things, he texted his boss a couple of times and a little hesitation about whether i would get the extra work done, we agreed on $250 and this was stated clearly. I only had enough cash for the original quote so after the job was done, i paid $140 in cash and offered to either go with the tech to the atm to get the remaining balance of $110 or put it on my card. We both confirmed clear as day that the remaining balance was $110. He said his boss would send me an invoice. About a week later, i get an invoice for $135, i asked his boss to talk to the tech because that was not the agreed on price but of course he says that's what the notes say. I didn't agree on that price so how can i be overcharged. read more

There is not enough I can say about Dan and the service he provides! My son had flushed his glasses down the toilet and cause a blockage... kids.... He performed an initial assessment and found there was a larger issue with the water lines coming to and from the house which prevented him from doing any work. Called Dan and guess what?! He answered the phone-woohoo what a surprise.I told him my garbage disposal wasn't working but was humming when turned on, and the sink was backing up. With the holidays and all, definitely need clear drains. He was so nice! He told me the blades in the disposal were likely jammed. He said to use the tool that came with the disposal (similar to an Allen wrench). And to call him if it didn't fix my problem. Well, did you know this little tool is supposed to come with your garbage disposal? I've had several disposals installed and have never seen it. When I checked online, sure enough the tool IS included with the disposal! We were able to buy a Jam Buster at Lowe's for $7.98. A few cranks (1..5 minutes) later, and my disposal was working and my drain was clear. Thanks Dan for a very merry Christmas! What a great present. I'll definitely call when I need an expert plumber!
