I think I counted at least 6-7 people that worked on our floors. They ripped out, refinshed, painted & installed new base boards as well as installing some new hardwood floors. Very resonably priced compared to the other 3 quotes I got. In addition to their price being lower, they also used a thicker hardwood floor than most of our quotes. Call them & you won't be disappointed. I would give them 6 stars if they had it. Oh, we also had a last minute request and the owner came back & finished it in a matter of minutes.

We recently bought a house and about 60% of it had hardwood floors under carpet. The floors were in…read moredecent shape but had some stains and termite damage. The other 40% of the house (kitchen & dining room) had linoleum with carpet stuck on top. It was a mess. We ripped up the carpet ourselves and pulled the staples. Then we hired Dan @ HD to refinish the hardwoods we had and replace the linoleum with matching hardwoods. I am ecstatic with the result. Our floors look amazing! Dan seems to be able to do everything. When we initially hired him, we just needed the refinishing and adding hardwoods. Later we realized we needed new trim/ molding around the whole house after painting and changing the color scheme. I asked Dan if he did molding and he got me a quote the next day. The price quote was good so he did our molding as well! They did the refinishing, adding hardwoods, 3 coats of stain on the wood, molding, and other extra baseboards in one week. We also had tons of trash in our garage from ripping up the carpets, etc. and I asked them if we could pay to have it removed. They did and for about half cheaper than the quote we got from other junk removers. These guys work hard and do a great job. The price was low compared to others out there and that made me happy since I am quickly understanding the meaning of "house poor"! Only negative was that we couldn't always understand each other. Nothing went wrong but we had to run things by him a couple times to make sure we were on the same page. After another service removed the moisture and in the process gutted part of the kitchen and dining room, Gadir stepped in to handle the restoration. Right from the start, it was clear that he was on top of the job. He arrived the same day to assess the project and had shared an estimate within an hour. His pricing was reasonable and he quickly scheduled the work. He completed a very neat and quality job quickly and while keeping us updated through the process. He was readily accessible and was prompt in responding to any questions. Gadir was sincere and committed and went above and beyond on the job. First, when he visited a couple of different Lowes stores to find the specific wood we wanted for flooring and brought it to the site. After the job was complete, he fixed the garbage disposal which had a screw badly latched in. A previous tech had just flipped the breaker a few times and called it a day, but the problem came right back. Johnny actually did a full diagnosis instead of guessing. He traced it to the real root cause: the circuit breaker in my panel wasn't compatible with my 240V panel, so it was never making proper contact. He swapped in the correct breaker and the AC has been running perfectly ever since. Very thorough, explained everything clearly, and the price was very fair. Was having trouble finding a contractor for what might have been a big bathroom job or small…read morebathroom job (most only wanted the big job). After a bunch of wasted time with other contractors I finally met Johnny and I happy with his proposal and ultimately his quality of work. We have in wall toilet tanks and both were leaking and to make things worse the specific product was discontinued. This was in the house before we moved in so I didn't know all the specifics. Therefore, we opened up one of the walls to determine if we needed to replace the whole tank or just the components inside. He figured out was unnecessary to replace the tanks and he was able to find compatable parts! As well we took the opportunity to add electrical outlets and another water source for bidet toilet seats. He did very clean work, took great care to minimize damage during the removal process (which is harder than if we were just demoing the entire bathroom tile). Bottom line it is very difficult to tell there was partial replacement and tie into existing remaining wall. I was particularly concerned with the partial tile replacement and grout work not matching up, but came out clean. We also had him water proof and finish off the stone around the tub and tile the wall behind the tub. He helped my wife and I make some decisions on tile because we were a little unsure. He was able to work with our schedule coming in a few different days that worked with his current schedule and ours because we work full time and with kids it is too difficult to just take any day off. I was happy with the work he did in the bathrooms so I had him also fix my sink which was an all-in-one custom counter-top into sink made of Corian. The sink had developed a crack and would leak under pressure. It wasn't as simple as just removing a metal sink and swapping out. He had to carefully cut the corean and this time we dropped in a metal sink that was very close to the existing size of our sink, but it required some slight modifications to the opening, along with adjusting the plumbing as the drop used to be centered and now was offset to side. As well the old faucet and soap dispenser were knotched into the corean, but becuase the metal perimeter didn't fully cover the hole he was able to borrow and cut to size the Corian from the section he removed doing his best to color match so it blended in. While it is not perfect options were pretty limited. He could have done epoxy and suggested that might be the way to go, but I advised that I just wanted him to cut out the Corian and blend it in the best he could. In summary, I was happy to have found Johnny and will definitely use his services again when the time comes.
