Let me share you my story…read more We were on a road trip from the SF Bay Area to Seattle and back. That's about 2000 miles (probably more including the side trips). Needless to say, I had our diesel BMW X5 checked before leaving the Bay Area. When we got to Redding, CA, the dreaded check engine light (CEL) came on. So, we were frantic not knowing what was wrong with our car. Also, we had no idea what shop to go to. Can we find somebody knowledgeable and with the right equipment to work on a diesel X5? Can we find somebody honest enough who'll tell us exactly what's wrong and not charge us an arm and a leg? The universe must have been on our side because we found Steven, the manager (or owner) of Angelo's Classic Import. With Steven, all our fears were gone. They have a very updated shop with all the equipment needed to diagnose our car's problems. We found a very honest person in Steven who charged us honestly. (Turned out the issue was minor and he charged us only $20!) How I wish his shop is in the Bay Area because I would drive the whole length of the Bay Area just to have the privilege of me becoming his client for life! Try his shop and I'm sure you'll experience the same type of excellent Customer Service as I did! Thank you Steven for your service!

I experienced damage to a wheel hub on my dual axle trailer in Ashland OR. Had a shop there install brakes all around while they were repairing it. Heading back home to the Bay Area, by the time I got to Mt. Shasta another hub was heating up. I spoke to Troy, a mobile mechanic in Weed. He was booked and, lacking other options in the area, I decided to limp down to civilization (Redding) where my odds of finding help would increase. Troy referred me to All Wheel. Four hours and 65 miles later, I limped into their lot, hoping against hope for an appointment sometime in the next week. I spoke to Rizzy, an outstanding gentleman with a heart of gold. Much to my surprise, within a short time he had Brian inspecting all of my axles. As it was late in the day, we decided it would be best to finish in the morning. As others have mentioned, I was graciously offered the option to spend the night, which I gladly accepted. Throughout the process they kept me in the loop as to what they were doing to diagnose and eventually fix the problem. They found two issues that the previous shop was responsible for, and by noon the next day I was heading back home to the Bay Area. I could not have asked for better service. The level of professionalism was outstanding. I highly recommend these folks for your repair and maintenance needs. Thanks Rizz!

I've been getting scheduled maintenance there for my 2012 Honda Fit S for about 1-1/2 years, including oil changes, tire rotations, tune-ups, etc. In late December, they replaced my engine, which was destroyed by a catastrophic break in my oil line. Ron, the manager and owner, and his entire work force at the front desk, service desk, in the shop, and the loaner car department maintain the highest professional standards of any auto dealer or shop I've ever dealt with. After I dropped my truck off they called me and said they didn't assess this correctly and the new charge would be over 1,000. I said no and went back to grab my truck. The reason they gave me for the price hike was that they didn't know the kit came with shocks.. we surely went over shocks on the phone but regardless anyone charging $500 for shock installation is out of their mind. They acted nice on the phone but terrible business practice. This was either a scam tactic or they just didn't want to work. Got another local shop to install for $400. I will not do business here again or recommend them to anyone I know.

I bought very expensive aftermarket bulbs but discovered the front bumper must be removed to change the light housing which I also wanted to replace. I saw this body shop had high stars on Yelp so I called to ask if they would perform the work. Their immediate response was "no" and "we don't do that kind of work and only install OEM components." I kindly asked " do you recommend anyone else that will do this work for me?". Immediate "nope, you'll just have to call around" They were about as helpful as a broken fence post and could care less in my opinion. My next phone call was to Underhood Automotive. Immediately helpful and professional. Chris said they do this kind of work all the time and install DOT legal headlights on older Shasta County Search and Rescue vehicles. Every single question I asked was answered. I live 4 hours away from Redding so coordinating this was somewhat of a Challenge. Chris even told me my mom's car had loud squeeking brakes and he would inspect those as well. Strong Automotive has high stars so I'm guessing their body work is pretty good but customer service is also very important and in this department, they have a long way to go.

I contacted AAA and had the truck towed 80 miles to R & R. Kevin called 2 days later to tell me that it had a broken exhaust pipe at the manifold, and they could repair it for $450. We drove from Grants Pass back to Shasta Lake to pick it up and headed back towards home. About 5 miles from home the truck started making the exact same noise. When I got it it home I pulled the exhaust/catalytic converters and discovered the repair had failed. I contacted Kevin and he asked what I wanted to do. I told him I would order a new exhaust/catalytic converter and install it myself, because I didn't want to drive the 2 1/2 hours back to the shop. Kevin told me to order the parts and he would reimburse me the entire amount, which I did. I provided the amount to Kevin and received a check from him in a few days. Not only did Kevin stand behind his work, he went the extra mile by reimbursing me for the parts. I can't say enough about the level of customer service Kevin provided! I highly recommend them as a trustworthy shop.

I'm told I need a timing chain cover gasket, and a new radiator. Ok, so I say while you're into it that far go ahead and replace the timing chain and the water pump. I know a water pump only cost 35.00 bucks and a timing chain can't be much more than 150.00. Being the original owner I know what's been done to it and I figure replacing these two things will save me down the road. I ask how long will this take and Dean tells me he could do it in a day. This is good cuz it's my only form of tranportation. Please note: as I said I'm the original owner and I mentioned this to Dean as I also mentioned several times in our talking I want to keep the car original. I drop the car off for the work, I don't call and bug them, but I don't hear from anyone either, so at 4:30 I call the shop and no answer, no nothing. I call back at almost 5:00 and I get that funny ring like a fax machine. They all went home early cuz it was hot, I'm surprised it wasn't to go get his nails done. Ole Dean closed up shop and didn't give it a thought to call me to say anything, seems Dean thinks we are all here to work around his schedule. And then wouldn't ya know, that good for nothing did it again the next day too cuz he had to take his daughter to swim lessons. This is how people actually run a business, can you believe it? I'm not sure who Dean is to the owner Jeff, but what I do know is Jeff hides behind Deans apron when someone is about to confront him, lol. It's always "he's at lunch" or "he's on vacation" sure Dean, if you say so.... So it turns out I end up getting to pick up my car cuz Jeff showed back Iup to the shop for some reason. He says the keys are in it, so I jump in and leave. Driving down the road I notice my low coolant light is on, now what? I pull over and ck the coolant. I add coolant, but the light stays on. This is where I notice this single row core plastic piece of junk for a radiator sitting there in my engine compartment, WHAT THE HELL? Dean took it upon himself to remove a two row copper metal radoator out of it and put the cheapest plastic/aluminium single row core in it, not to mention it just doesn't fit. You can move the thing on one side back and forth with your hand, I don't think you should be able to do that. Doing some investigating I find out Dean paid $84.99 for this radiator, and charged me $218.00 for it, the water pump he paid $34.99 with a lifetime warranty and charged me $95.00 with a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty, but only verbally cuz I called him on it, the warranty isnt noted on my invoice, how convenient. When I called him on that he said he couldn't give me the lifetime warranty cuz O'Riley wouldn't always stand behind their warranties and he would get stuck with it. I asked about the double and triple charging me on parts, he said that's just what they do in case they have to warranty a job, lol. Let's talk in circles why don't we? This guy Dean he can talk a good line of crap if ya let him. And he has no problem bashing other businesses here in town, I found that to be very bothersome and unprofessional.. I would not recommend going to this shop, I'd rather go back to horse and buggy day. This is what I think someone needs to tell Dean and Jeff. Business 101, it's a good thing to make your customer happy, it's up to the customer as to what is put in their own car not yours, if there are changes to be made to the customers car always ask the customer first cuz who do you think is paying the bill? Then when you screw up and wreck something on a customers car fixing what the car was brought in for originally don't just pretend you know nothing about it, like my low coolant sensor. At least try and fix the issue and or be sure to let the customer know about it. Avoiding the issue won't make it go away. And lastly, Dean and Jeff, you don't go home cuz it's too hot for you sissy's and leave a customer in the dark, not calling them to say anything when you told them their car would be done that day. My personal opinion, Dean should be a stay at home mommy cuz he's lousy at customer service, and worse at trying to be a mechanic. He'd do best at changing diapers and that's for the record... Oh and Jeff wake up, act your age try being a man for a change and let go of Deans apron strings, talk to your customers cuz he's gonna run your business into the ground for ya. So far three of us won't be back and counting. One last thing, I'm not gonna play games with you, chasing Jeff from lunch to vacation when I know he's hidding around the corner like the sissy he is. I have lots of time and connections to see to it I get the word out about how you operate and then I'll be seeing you in court....Let the judge decide......
