I took my single axel boat trailer into Tread Tech Tire in Palo Cedro today to get the wheel bearing checked and repacked. Three years ago, they repacked them for $42 per wheel. When I picked up the trailer today, my bill was $619. I foolishly told them to do what ever was necessary when I dropped it off, meaning I was authorizing them to replace any worn parts. My bad. They charged me $175 per hub (X2) to repack the bearings, the insignificant cost of new seals, plus $173 for 2 new tires. The original tires had plenty of tread and the sidewalls were not checkered. They told me that because they were over 8 years old that they were not safe. I didn't received a heads up call about the tires prior to replacing them (courtesy call). I did authorize them to "do whatever was needed". I didn't feel the cost of the tires were extreme but $350 to regrease to 2 trailer hubs seems like a lot. I will shop around newt time. read more

Lies... straight up gave me an amazing price if I brought a few costumers his way for more business, well jokes on me , guy told me straight to my face yeah I remember that price and you but there's no way I'm doing that price now. So he's not trustworthy, from my experience that's just a trash move, act sad and say I don't have much work can you help me, then once helped, can't hold his end of the deal, most unprofessional incompetent shop as I was leaving another car pulled in all fast a guy got out of his car bright red yelling that something that this shop just fixed was wrong on his car. Looking around, I found better prices just a few mile away and after looking at reviews I realized I should have never even went to this place.. Justin and his crew are the best! Great service, very knowledgeable and professional every time. We take all of our company vehicles to them for tires as well as repairs and are always happy with the results. We had a truck that was at another tire shop four times and they could not diagnose or fix the problem but Justin had it diagnosed the same day we dropped it off and fixed the next saving is a lot of money on our tire wear issue. Now it's completely screwed, oil flows straight through to the ground when I pour it in and they TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY and now the douche bag owner is ignoring my calls. place is a joke. went in at 4:55pm. says online they close at 5:30pm. owner says sorry we are closing at 5pm. i say okay, my front tires have too much air, can you please set to factory settings. he fumbles in his drawer looking for a gauge, and says "my technicians, they have been working all day in 105 degree weather. we can do this later. its fine to drive with high pressure in your tires. come back tomorrow at an earlier time" just amazing. go to Big O tires and get the respect and service you deserve read more

These guys are the worst I have ever dealt with. I bring my rig in there for a flat to be repaired, I show the tech the flat in the back of my rig, and I ask him to please make sure the spare is put away correctly. I go to pick it up and it is cash only because their credit card terminal is down. I get the rig and head home. The next day I look in the back of my rig, and there is the spare. I go back and tell the same guy that I had asked for them to put the spare away, he took my keys and had someone do it. Once he brought me the keys I left. And only to find out it wasnt put away correctly, and, I found in the back of the rig the cover to go over the lug nuts! Pathetic! Most shops fix a flat for free, not these guys, 40. bucks for all the headaches. read more

We bought a new set of tires for my wifes car, the tire pressure was set incorrectly on all four tires, we live Approximately 70 miles from here so we decided to schedule an alignment for the vehicle so they could fix tire pressures at the same time, we showed up 4 minutes after our scheduled time, Ken said he took a deisel in front of us because we were late and it would be 15 to 20 minutes. We wait well over 30 mins and nothing stared yet, my wife ask if he knew how long it might take, then here came a loud voice with no respect for anyone in the store, stating again most people are on time for their Appts. Then I speak up and tell him there is no way they backed a deisel in the bay and have the wheel off in 4 mins... Be honest Ken you know that was a lie and your horrible customer service and poor choice of words cost you yet another customer... We would not Recommend this shop to anyone.. Shabby mechanics doing half ass work, and an owner who just doesn't care Anymore. read more

If I could rate this business in the negative, I would in a heart beat. I brought my vehicle to the shop in February 2018 with AC issues (wanting to get it taken care of before it got hot). Problem was diagnosed to be the AC compressor. This is not a cheap or easy job, as a shop is SUPPOSED to flush all lines and flush/replace the condenser. Otherwise the condenser will keep plugging with metal fragments and you'll start all over. $1356.00 later Ken told me he didn't need to flush everything, it was clear. Few weeks later on a 90 degree day my AC started blowing hot. I was told the clutch on the new compressor was bad, so that was replaced. Another few weeks later on a 110 degree day my AC again would not blow cold. Went back and was told they put in the wrong amount of Freon. So it was drained and recharged. Few HOURS later it didn't work again. On this 4th visit I was told the condenser was bad and needed to be replaced for $446....and that yes he DID flush the system and the first time. See what happened there? So when Ken was pressed to back up and warranty his work, we were told to pick up our vehicle and he was "washing his hands of the situation, to take it somewhere else". So 5 months, 4 visits, and $1400 later I am back at square one, and he has made 0 attempts to make this right. 4 different shops said this all goes back to the original work, and he absolutely should be handling it, the the condenser should have been replaced along with the compressor (for the price I paid. Most shops quote $1200-$1600 for it to be done the right way) It won't be that easy to "wash his hands" of us, and I sincerely hope this post is far reaching, to not only speak to the lack of experience of Tread Tech's mechanics, but also to the lack of honesty and integrity of it's owner. read more

If I could give them zero stars, I would. Rude service. We had them put 6 new tires on our RV and on our first trip after, we got a flat tire on I5 in less than 45 minutes. There was an issue with the valve stem, and instead of telling us that so we could have them fix it or go somewhere else to fix it, they ignored it. Now, less than 1000 miles into these tires, one of the inside rear tires got ruined and they claim it's not their fault. They installed the tires and they are responsible for the damage and the hassle that it caused us. Not to mention our safety. Instead, the owner was rude and completely unhelpful. We will never go back and we will tell everyone we know to avoid them. read more

I called them Friday about 4:15pm 5/08 about a lawn tractor tire, Yes they had my size in stock and I was told it was about 20.00, then asked how much to put it on the rim... He said " its a small tire will only take a second, nothing" I replied, GREAT! Drove 21 miles to Tread Tech Tire Factory, palo cedro.. Monday Morning.. I was told NO the tire is 28.00 and there is a 10.00 fee for putting it on the rim.. so it would be 38.00 plus tax. I explained the conversation I had on Friday and was told. Unfriendly and a major rip off. Charged me $90 to mount 4 atv tires! Bought a new rim for my trailer and they gave me the wrong lug nut pattern. I have been doing business with tire factory for many years. I recently had a missing issue with my car. I took it to them to diagnose the problem and have a tune up and new timing chain installed. Shortly there after the cars problem reoccurred. I took it back to them again and they stated the miss fire was caused by a new belt loosening. I headed to San Francisco for a 24 hour turn around trip. My car broke down and I could not get it fixed and return home for 6 days. It was a faulty coil that was not a difficult diagnosis. Treed tech Tire factory will not take any responsibility at this point for the costly and terribly stressful time I've experienced due to there inadequate and improper diagnosis of my cars problem. I am very very dissatisfied. The cost to me was the very high cost of repairing a car in San Francisco. Taxi rides food costs sleeping arrangements worrying to death about my animals plants and home not being cared for properly while I was away. Mail being stolen and a heap more but mostly they said my car was fixed. And by the way. They don't have time for me now that they have my money. So tires no problem but repairs. No more for me.
