After having shopped a lot for FJ Cruisers and finding them overpriced or in bad condition (some in very bad condition coming from the Northeast), we finally bought our 2008 FJ Cruiser from Prius Planet in December 2020. (We had previously returned another FJ Cruiser to another dealership because after a professional inspection, the vehicle's whole frame was rusted out - and painted over - but that is another story.) We test drove the FJ we bought from Prius Planet three times - over a period of a few weeks - before we were finally ready to purchase. During that time, John had added a roof rack and other accessories - but still honored the original price. And was forever patient and kind with us! Attentive, informative, but not hard selling anything. He had all the vehicle history, even though it was coming from out of state, and we appreciated the careful vetting that had been done here on a vehicle type that some other dealers did not do A year and a half later, we still love our FJ. It was perfect and pristine and still runs wonderful. (Folks are trying to buy it now for more that we paid for it then. But, we are not selling.) Alright. So we drove two hours from LA to check out a car. We were really excited as the pictures online looked almost perfect and it was stated it had one owner and had never had an accident or damage. Low and behold we get there and the car is definitely no where near perfect. Scratches were all over the car. There was clearly a dent on the side that was pulled out and painted over. The interior roof had a hole in it. The logos of the car were sprayed a different color and cracking. One of the tire rims was missing a part which contained the logo. We spoke to John and he acknowledged the less than perfect condition however kept saying that the dent was most likely pulled out and nobody would ever know. He said the same with the rest of the damage. When we opened the trunk there was a long wire that connected to nothing. When we asked John what it was he said "probably a stereo system the owner took out". We then saw there was not a spare tire where the spare tire should be. John responded "oh there is a pump to blow up your tires. That's the new thing." Every bit of damage or things that were less than perfect we pointed out, John always gave an excuse as to why they were that way. We were curious as to if any of the damage would lower the price. John said he wouldn't go down less than a hundred bucks. No, thanks. Not worth the time, the drive, or the effort. Don't be fooled by the pics and stand your ground. Damage is not okay on a used car and ignoring or calling it "unnoticeable" is kind of stupid. We took our business down the road and found the same car in near perfect condition with 50,000 less miles and the same price...surprise. read more

I purchased a lexus ct200h from this dealership. I want to personally recommend Dana Corp because of how John handled my situation. After driving my newly purchased car off the lot, I experienced a bad radio signal. I didn't think too much of it because bad radio signals are common especially if the area you are in does not have strong signal. However, after driving it around closer to home i realized something was wrong. I called up John and told him my issue and he had me bring it back. Immediately, John had a technician try to diagnose and fix the issue but was unable to solve it due to some obscure way Lexus install radio antennas. However, John did not leave me hanging and went beyond and above his expectations by paying for my radio problem to be fixed at lexus dealership. The Lexus dealership wanted to charge a few hundred dollars to fix this issue and the fact that John assured me he would take care of it put me at ease. Most dealerships would never take care of their customers like this and I just want to acknowledge John personally for his wonderful customer service and making things right. A painless, easy way to purchase a car. I literally called John 5 times between 10a and 1p on the day that I went to get the car. It was complicated because I was also trading/selling my leased vehicle to him. I was skeptical so hence the 5 calls with questions that I'm sure would've annoyed anyone. But John was patient with every single question and was forthright and honest, saving a lot of ill-will and headache on the back end of the deal. I also brought my two kids along. He kept it 100% real and even explained to me how I did not benefit from GAP insurance and an extended service plan due to the year of my car and the manufacturer warranty that came with it. His application fee was very reasonable and there were no hidden fees whatsoever. I decided to finance through his third party and I got a better APR than Wells Fargo! This place is truly a gem and deserves to be recognized. One last thing which I thought was amazing, I called John on a Wednesday and asked him if it was possible to save me the Prius I wanted till that Saturday and I offered to place a cash deposit; I was expecting a no, but he gladly said he would hold it for me without a deposit. We had been looking for a couple year old pruis for a few weeks and when one turned up at Dana Corp we went right in. John was helpful but not too sales pressuring. He'll leave you alone and let you take the car out on your own too. It was kind of nice not to bargain at all. I have bought many used cars in my life, my experience with Prius Planet was by far the simplest and most pleasant. My daughter found them online and we went in expecting the usual sales shenanigans. To my surprise John is an exception to the stereotype. Once we decided to buy the car, there was no haggle price so that part was great. He didn't try to sell us warranty since the car still had manufacturer warranty. THIEVES!!!!! SNAKES!!!!!!! If I could give zero stars I would do not go here. Purchased a car from here, paid for the title transfer and the dealership stole my tags from the car. When I called to ask them about the tags the guy on the phone was very rude and kept saying that I got a good deal on the car and I should be happy then he kept changing his name from John to Charles to Mark. I paid over fair market price on a basic car that doesn't even have power windows or locks. Then he continued to say that he paid the registration fee, when it says on my receipt that I did and that I should be grateful for him for even putting in the paperwork to the DMV. fyi this planet prius/dana corp refuses to report positive on time payments which would increase your credit scores. they only report negatively if you missed payments which i have been on time for 21 months. in my opinion that is not providing your customers with excellent customer service. if i would have known this prior to purchasing a car from them i would have gone elsewhere. read more

It really upsets me to see all these falsely reviews,most likely made up by that very quiet employee that John has in the back room. I got a car with a lot of miles on it and based on their description it was well kept. So took it to the dealer to find out that it had not been service for the last 5 years.! So I called John to talk about returning the car and he went CRAZY on all the legalities of the contract. So I still decided to return his car after paying Honda dealer for a very needed tune up and John still charged me for the miles that I drove the car @$1.00 per mile. After doing more research I found out that "his cars " they are bought in an auction so he doesn't know of anything wrong with the used cars that he sells on his storage "dealer ". I really wish this review helps other people before they deal with these crooked salesman, they give you "free ice cream " NOTHING comes free !
