    If you're car shopping and don't want to feel like you're in a high-pressure sales showdown... go see Diego Cruz. Seriously. He helped my cousin get into a brand new Camry and the whole experience was shockingly smooth (and dare I say... enjoyable??). From the moment we walked in, he was welcoming, professional, and actually took the time to explain everything in a way that made sense. No confusing jargon, no runaround, no games. My cousin had a trade-in, which can sometimes feel like a whole extra headache, but Diego handled it like a pro and made it a seamless part of the process. What really stood out was that he listened. We told him what a realistic, comfortable payment looked like and instead of pushing, he worked with us to make it happen. And the best part? Zero of that stereotypical pushy salesperson energy. No pressure, just genuine help and transparency which is rare and very appreciated. If you're heading to this location, do yourself a favor and ask for Diego Cruz. You'll leave feeling confident, taken care of, and probably wondering why all car buying experiences aren't like this.

    Walked into Toyota Irvine for routine service. Walked out with a $2,800+ upsell sheet generated BEFORE anyone inspected my vehicle. No evaluation. No verification. Just a canned list of "recommended" services. Most of the items they pushed were already completed, which a two-minute Carfax check would have shown. Instead, I got the full menu of dealer fluff: premature fluid exchanges, vague "preventative" services labeled as urgent, and zero explanation of actual need or findings. This wasn't service--it was a sales funnel. The assumption seems to be that customers won't question anything and will just sign. If you value honesty or basic due diligence, avoid this place. Plenty of other Toyota dealers don't treat customers like open wallets.

    I brought my 2023 GR Corolla here earlier this year for a major engine repair (short block replacement). My advisor was professional and worked hard to get Toyota Goodwill to cover the cost of parts, and I paid nearly $3,700 in labor. At the time, I left a positive review because I thought the job was handled well. Months later, I had unrelated work done at a trusted independent shop and they discovered serious workmanship issues from the engine repair at Toyota of Irvine. Several critical drivetrain bolts had been left loose or damaged, which could have caused catastrophic failure if not caught in time. The independent shop had to replace the hardware, resurface parts, and fix the assembly properly, all at my own expense. When I brought this back to the dealer, they refused to take responsibility, saying they wouldn't cover the costs because I hadn't towed the car back to them. Given that the same dealer caused the problem in the first place, I did not feel safe letting them touch the car again. While my advisor was helpful and Toyota covered parts during the original repair, the lack of quality control and accountability on safety-critical work is extremely concerning. If you need major service here, be cautious and consider having another shop double-check the work.

We had an appointment to browse, and were assigned to Mahanth Kommireddy. When he came up to us, he shook my hand, introduced himself to me, AND THEN COMPLETELY IGNORED MY WIFE. We almost walked out right there, but wanted to test drive a car so we bit our tongues. Even once we went to his desk, he still did not acknowledge her at all. If this is how he treats wives of potential customers, I'm sure this isn't the first and won't be the last time he cost you business. I ended up doing the whole sit through the dealer nightmare that you guys are supposed to be a better alternative to because I refuse to reward such awful behavior.

My wife and I live in Oceanside. There are plenty of dealerships between us and Irvine. Plenty. Yet every time we need anything Subaru-related, we willingly sign up for the I-5 traffic obstacle course because Sam is worth every mile. Most service advisors help you maintain your car. Sam somehow manages to maintain your faith in customer service. She has achieved the rare and mythical balance of being incredibly professional while also making the entire process feel like you're catching up with a friend who genuinely wants to help. Somehow, she remembers details, communicates proactively, explains things clearly, and never makes you feel like just another appointment on a calendar. At this point, if Sam switched careers and started selling hiking boots, insurance, or artisanal pickles, I'd probably at least hear her out. The truth is that trust is hard to earn, especially when it comes to vehicle service. Sam has earned ours completely. We don't drive from Oceanside to Irvine because of the dealership, the coffee, or the waiting room. We drive there because of Sam. Frank's is lucky to have her. The rest of the staff is great, but Sam is the reason we keep coming back. Give her a raise, a trophy, a parking spot with her name on it, or at minimum, whatever magical resources she needs to keep being the absolute rockstar she is. Volkswagen gave the highest offer, so I came here! Their actual offer was $3,000 less than the CarGuru offer lol. Long story short, I left and went to the second dealership, where I sold my car in under 20 minutes for only $600 less than their original CarGurus offer. The experience at Volkswagen definitely made me feel like I was being ripped off. Definitely save yourself some time and skip this place if you're looking to sell! The employees I interacted with were very friendly (wish I could give Faith 5 stars! She was super sweet!), but the offer itself from the acquisition manager was a joke. I was told that CarGurus tends to give higher offers than necessary, but that hasn't been my experience--I previously sold a car through CarGurus for nearly the exact quoted amount. The low offer seems to be an issue specific to this dealership, not CarGurus.
