After bringing my Mazada in for check engine light, they stated I needed a new battery. I purchased on. Everything worked fine prior to bringing the CX-5 in. After it was returned, the infotainment system started malfunctioning. When I brought it to Mazada's attention they refused to do anything. I went through Arbitration and nothing. Service Manager Robert Khoury was the worst, accusing me of just wanting to get something free and wanting to charge me $1700.00. I finally went to Mazada corporate and the settled for $200. Tustin Maxada was great. Now there is a class action suit against Mazada for the issue that I brought to their attention. This is just an example of local dealerships not wanting to take ownership. It was time to upgrade my wheels, and I liked my last Mazda 3 so much that I decided to buy a 2024 Mazda 3 Sedan. Edmunds.com ended up connected me to Tuttle Click Mazda in Irvine, and they did totally right by me! When I first settled on a 2024 Mazda 3 sedan, the vast majority of the dealers I was dialoging with in SoCal simply threw up their hands, stating that the car I wanted was rarer than bipartisan cooperation. Fortunately for me, Axel V. and the team at Tuttle-Click Mazda were willing to put in the time to find the vehicle I wanted. It took them just over a month to locate one. It had been consigned to another dealership, but they worked a swap and got the vehicle for me with a minimum of additional effort on my part. Throughout the time I worked with him, Axel was both responsive and proactive. He and his team worked with me to minimize the time I needed to spend at the dealership; the purchase agreement was executed electronically before I came to pick up the car, and there was no up-selling of maintenance and vehicle extras in the 11th hour. Axel also helped arrange to have the dealership match the purchase quote I'd gotten from CarMax for my old 2018 Mazda 3 and I ended up closing the purchase of the new car and the sale of my old one on the same day in just under an hour - it's hard to be anything but happy with customer service that good! I came here a while back to get a few things fixed, including my window regulator. They quoted me $900 for it which i declined obviously, and when i got the far back the airbag light was left on. They told me they saw the light when i showed up but for some reason didnt tell me? Makes no sense. I ended up fixing the window myself, the part was $25 and took me about 30 minutes to do. Not only that, the airbag light was suddenly fixed! Now supposedly i had worked this out with the service manager, which he told me "it wasnt $900 to fix the window" and attached is a screenshot of the quote from my mazda service rep at the time, now for all this inconvenience he promised me a few free oil changes. Matthew Smith showed us exactly what we wanted to see, was knowledgeable, had the answers to our questions, and never pressured or rushed us. We asked for specific terms re: our deal, and he structured it exactly as requested. (Out of the 10 dealers most did NOT respond as requested and the lack of clarity from others was alarming.) It can be stressful buying a car, and I let Matthew know multiple times that we were wary of "surprises" ending up in our contract, and he reassured me that there would be no such surprises. He even procured a car from another dealer for us, personally going to retrieve it. When we went to the dealership to pick up the car (after a completely painless email negotiation) we were met by another great salesperson (Skyler) as well as Jeremy Wang who handled our contract. I had a problem with my brand new CX90 PHEV that took 15 days to fix. The service team tried to take care of me as a customer but failed. The sales team wasn't much help after the sale was done. Robert the service manager took over after a bunch of miscues and eventually worked it out. I've tried to contact the general manager on numerous occasions to discuss sales, service, etc. and I was told he would call me (twice) but at this point I don't think he exists. He's listed on the website but can't take time out of his day to contact customers that have major issues with the dealership. I don't see the point of listing him on the website if he's never able to work. I probably won't be a returning customer because of this once my lease is up. A simple phone call would make a bad experience into a much better one. I'll try another Mazda next time even if it's 20 minutes further. read more

An honest dealership with friendly staff and great service. My family is a Mazda family, and I recently moved to South County and figured it was time for a new car. I had a less than ideal experience buying my previous car, so I was hesitant. My family had had sorted experiences at the Mazda dealerships up in North OC, so I saw Tuttle Click online and thought I'd see what they have. I was looking for a used car, and inquired online -- within minutes, Skylar contacted me and set up an appointment to see the car in question the next day. When arriving, Skylar had the car ready for me to see, and answered all of my questions promptly. His patience was also appreciated -- I had a friend join me after my appointment, and I was on the phone with insurance for a good 30 minutes at one point. I ended up leasing a newer vehicle (for affectively the same cost). When it came to financing, I was greeted by Jeremy, who assisted in the financing. He had a warm demeanor and answered all of my financing questions with ease, and I was in and out of the financing office in less than 20 minutes (unlike my first car buying experience). Huge mistake for the staff is to be selling an electric vehicle that has no battery life. The electric plug-in vehicle I made the appointment for had no battery left. Very frustrating and a waste of time. The gas side of the drive was underpowered and disqualified the vehicle. It showcased the underpowered engine. In February I bought a used Mazda (2022) with about 12k miles on it. I was so excited because my family loves Mazdas and it was finally my time to make the switch. Unfortunately there have been too many things to ignore and i hope this saves the next buyer. THEY WILL TELL YOU ANYTHING TO GET THR CAR SOLD. 1) i was told my registration was up to date until next year. Unfortunately i had to wait for my plates to come in the mail so i didn't have the sticker to know for sure, but i recently got a letter from the dmv saying i needed to register by June... $600. 2) they even said i had seriesXM radio for the year, it was just a 2 month trial. 3) i was told an employee was the previous owner. When i asked about the car fax i saw that the most recent one was prior to her owning it. They refused to give me a current one saying that's all they had to show bc nothings happened with the car. 4) my radio is already going in and out. 5) i bought my car at night and was told to come back in the morning so that it could be cleaned and detailed. I got there in the morning just to see it was absolutely still the same despite the worker saying it was done. My sales guy essentially just ran it through their wash and i went elsewhere for a detail. I know it's not a brand new car but i was told a detail was included and i wish they kept their word. 6) 2 days later after driving off the lot my tire pressure light came on. There was a nail in the tire that i had to get patched. For all i know they just filled the tire with air. Overall, this place is unethical, dishonest and shady in their work. I bought a newer car with less miles with hopes of having something reliable and no surprise costs. But so far it is costing me. Maybe they got away with it because I'm a women. Or maybe it's just my luck. Either way. Be vigilant in what they say and most importantly do. read more

After leaving a review about my previous experience, I wanted to clarify a few items due to an off-putting response. First of all, not only did our sales associate, who I would prefer not to name but will if I receive a similar response, have AirPod headphones in during the entire transaction, but he spent time taking photos and inspecting my vehicle for a full quote which is currently being denied. Also, when asking about similar, comparable cars in the same class, we were met with the response of, "well, we like to compare ourselves more to a Lexus or Mercedes vs a Toyota or Honda." Which clearly did not answer the specific question we were hoping for a helpful response on to make a decision. When probing for more helpful information on what we could compare the car to, we were met with a similar very vague and standoff-ish answer. In regards to the quote for my existing vehicle, as I mentioned above, full photos, mileage, VIN, and notes were captured in order to provide a trade-in price. What was upsetting to me was that the quote came in several thousand dollars lower than a quote I'd received hours earlier from a competitive Mazda dealership. It's also hard for me to imagine a lack of recollection in what new vehicle I might be interested in when we had test driven the exact model I asked for a quote on. It was the same, specific vehicle I had been looking for, which I mentioned to the salesman. I apologize that you felt as if I did not want to speak with your team and abruptly left, but after receiving the above treatment, it became clear customer service was not top of mind. Bought a CX9 from here. Getting service is a nightmare. Last time I sat in the service drive with three other cars for 20 minutes. Finally the guy in front of me went in to see what was going on. All of the service writers were sitting eating and drinking coffee while we all waited. I had an appointment. I have an issue with the navigation system and other tech issue they just can't fix. 2 other family members have attempted to buy cars here. They can't even get a call back after multiple attempts. We were interested in trading in our car and buying another so made an appt. When we got there the person was "busy" and after 30 minutes we left. I purchased a Mazda 3 for my son last year in Dec and signed all the paperwork via DocuSign. I was away on a trip with limited access to internet and choppy Wi-Fi. I trusted the paperwork that I would be signing would be accurate. I was told by the dealership that my payments would be $595.84 a month and have a screenshot to prove it, but a few weeks later I was logging into my online Mazda account and noticed that my payments went up over $50 a month to $647.23 a month. I was shocked! I couldn't believe that they would send my a payment by text, stating one payment and the bait and switch me and charge me an extra $50 a month. I reached out to the sales rep immediately. The GM Emiliano and VP of finance were less than helpful and never once called me back when I left multiple messages and voicemails. They were the ones that made the mistake with the contract but I expected them to rectify the mistake. Not only were they not able to rectify the mistake, but they wanted to cancel my contract and start the whole process over and re-pull my credit again. I needed the contract to be valid for last year for tax write off's. They had already pulled my credit twice with both times a hard pull. Now they wanted to re-pull my credit again! That's 3 hard pulls in under 30 days! I am in the process of purchasing a house and cannot have my credit re-pulled at all. All they said was they had to rerun it again which is ridiculous or cancel my contract. Before I could even think about it or before they even tried to rectify it, they canceled my contract without my knowledge or consent and sold my sons car. They also kept my 5k deposit and haven't refunded it yet. So now I have a disappointed son that won't be getting his car. This has been the most frustrating experience. What was originally a great experience at first has turned into a complete nightmare. I do not blame the sales rep. I blame everyone else in operations that failed to deliver and honor what was originally given to me. I will have to contact my lawyer about this. read more

In 2014 when I bought my first Mazda 6 from Tuttle Click, I gave this dealership raving reviews. I loved DENISE who sold me the car and everyone in the management, the service department and finance department! In 2018 I bought another Mazda 6 from Tuttle click and shortly thereafter most of the employees I had dealt with for five + years quit and went to work elsewhere. All went OK until my car was out of warranty. The vibe of the dealership changed completely. They were younger and less experienced than the original employees and often did not know what was covered under my warranty and what wasn't. There is a huge turnover of employees and it seems that every time I go in there it's different people working in sales, service and management. I feel like every time I went in for an oil change they tried to upsell me to change some filter, get new brakes, get new tires, it's always something. I've taken my car to get a second opinion on what they recommend and it's never been necessary at the time they said it was. Super annoying. Most recently I had a problem with the guy in service who helped me (while doing my oil change they said they found a nail in my tire and I asked them if they could patch it and he told me that they could not, the tire was ruined. He texted me the price for a new tire and the cost to install it). I immediately took my car to my tire place where I had just gotten the tires recently and they could not find a nail in the tire and they said that it had been patched. This was after the person in the service department told me it could not be repaired and Mazda never told me they patched the tire. I wasted half my day at the tire dealership waiting to have my tires checked. I later called the newest service manager, Robert, about the issue and he said he would talk to the service person about the issue and call me back. He did not seem to believe me that I had been told that the tire could not be repaired (he said the nail must've been in the sidewall of the tire, which it was not as the video they sent me showed!) but he said that Mazda had patched it for free. That's great but they never told me they did and I proceeded to waste four hours at the tire place getting the tires checked out. Super annoying all the way around! read more
