This was a Christmas present for my son from 2025. We had a blast and loved the pictures that they took... well worth the money for the sail and pictures. The crew was fun too.

This was a wonderful experience. Six of our adult children went parasailing and four of us so we ended up having the whole boat for ourselves. They offered the photo package, which was great. They were super flexible on the Fourth of July to change our time last minute. The boat driver and his partner were hilarious and good entertainment as well. We all created lots of memories. It was definitely worth it.

Great spot for parasailing! Parking is pretty easy to find. There are a couple restaurants to hang out by while you wait or to hit after parasailing. Gorgeous views of the coastline, Catalina and the ocean. Our crew of 2 guys on the boat were great. Quite young, which is typical, but responsible and skilled at operating the boat and the whole rig.

It's was my first experience, drove almost 2 hrs with traffic but totally worth it. I was scared but so excited and when i met the guy forgot to ask his name the one who checked us in and helped us through everything was so knowledgeable, experienced and friendly and when he explained there's nothing to be afraid of i was totally relaxed and ready. It was really fun and exciting and i will definitely go again!

One of the top excursions I have ever done! I'm a wimp when it comes to heights but these guys make it so simple. Finding the location wasn't hard as they are in front of Turks. You sign your waiver, take a quick boat ride, put on your gear and you're off for amazing views! If you want some pictures and videos they offer a $40 set, however, we had some nice people on the boat to take pictures of us. I brought one of those waterproof lanyards that I took with me up in the sky and it was fine. Everything else was left on the boat and was stowed in the compartments underneath your seats. Initially I was hesitant to go, however, the actual parasailing was smoother than the boat ride. The views are astonishing and so worth it! Never got to see the ocean from that angle either. It was a 10/10 experience and I would highly suggest if you are looking for an activity in Dana Point.

Really fun experience. The boat ride was almost as much fun as the parasailing. Take off and landing from the boat were very easy. Parking can be an issue so allow plenty of time to find a spot.

I have wanted to parasail for years now, and this is my third attempt, and FINALLY successful! Yay! Maybe the stars are aligning :) I initially called Dana Point Parasail just to inquire about their availability. Chris, I believe their owner, answered the call and he was so informative and helpful, I just felt so reassured that I booked it... before clearing it with the person I wanted to go with. Oops. Oh well, he said yes after so it all worked out. I also want to commend that I accidentally called after hours, and I didn't realize it until afterwards, so I appreciate that Chris was so nice and took the time to help me off hours. Dana Point Parasail sent me an email confirmation with very thorough details and hyperlinks to help us prepare and be able to find them on the day of the adventure. We were able to easily find them at Dock 2, per their thorough directions. We initially booked their 2-3pm so that we wouldn't have to rush our morning plans. It turned out we were running a bit early. Around 12:40pm we walked over just to inquire if they had room for us to go on their 1-2pm trip instead. Julia was at the check-in table while the others finished with the previous group. Julia was super friendly and positive. Love her vibes. She was like of course! At this time you are able to pay for your trip or apply it to the card you had on file for the reservation. Just as a common sense pro tip, use the restroom before you get on the boat. If you think about it, you might be off land for an hour, so it's best to empty out... just in case! My date and I hung out at a nearby bench as the crew offboarded their 12-1pm group. Everyone looked so happy and excited coming off their trip. Great foreshadowing of the good times to come. Luck continues to be on our side because we ended up being THE ONLY GROUP for the 1-2pm time slot. Private parasailing adventure. Yayyyyy! Justin was our Captain for the outing and Koby helped with set up and photography. Yes I said it, PHOTOS!! You can add on a photo package to capture your memories, without endangering your own devices. And here's some more common sense, but I recommend removing anything that is precious and leaving it on their boat. I took off my flip flops and left my phone in my purse. My date left his keys, phone, wallet and everything in my purse too. He was really stuck with me for the day. As Justin drove us out to an area without other boats and things, Koby got us into our harnesses and life jackets. He was very professional and efficient. Then when we got to a good spot in the water, they got us hooked up onto the parasail. Great directions and cues to help us safely enjoy our experience. Just sit back and enjoy. The parasailing experience is really peaceful. My date has been parasailing prior in Hawaii and actually mentioned this one goes up higher, at 800 feet. The views were stunning. But most importantly, THE PHOTOS, Koby took a great amount of photos. He got some in right before take off, as we took off, and some right before coming back down. Koby is the BEST WING MAN EVER cause he was cueing us for poses on the way back. He told my date to kiss me, and I was thinking ohh gosh *blushies* ahha... That kissie pic was harder to achieve than it looks. Multiple attempts made and at the time just hoping one of them looks good on camera. The WOW effect continues as we get back on the boat. The crew tells us we can have the photos within 15 minutes of leaving. Anything within 24 hours would be most appreciated but 15 minutes is AMAZING!! Within under 10 minutes I received a link to my cell phone and my email with 75 photos! Obviously they captured as many moments as possible for us to choose our favorites as needed. The crew is so thoughtful and professional to guarantee you a great experience. Please remember to tip! Thank you so much to the Dana Point Parasail team for making this outing absolutely incredible and well documented. Truly PRICELESS. We had such a great time. I will definitely refer any friends, family, colleagues, visitors, acquaintances here for any parasailing needs. And of course, when I would like to parasail again :) Until next time!

I just went parasailing here today !! it was so much fun we had the option to dip our feet which we asked to be dipped ! i would 100% recommend and would definitely do again! My group was amazing everyone was so sweet one of the ladies paid for us to get our personal pictures taken i was so thankful she was really sweet! come here ! (:

Birthday Magic in the Sky Apr 2026 Birthday Magic in the Sky We celebrated my daughter's birthday with parasailing in Newport Beach, and it turned into one of those rare days you know you'll remember forever. I'm terrified of heights, but our captain was so kind and reassuring that I actually felt excited instead of scared. The moment we lifted off, everything changed. It was quiet, peaceful, and unbelievably beautiful--like floating above the world. The boat ride itself was fun, the people were great, and the whole experience felt effortless from start to finish. We even got a fun dip before touching down softly on the deck. If I could have stayed in the air for an hour, I would have. This adventure was perfect in every way. Get the photo package. The staff is very nice and friendly. If you go early you might be able to see dolphins which was really fun. We also got to see some sea lions. Overall a great experience! read more

What an incredible experience! From check-in to landing, the staff was professional, friendly, and made all three of us feel comfortable. Parasailing over the Pacific Ocean was breathtaking, and it became one of the most memorable moments of our father-daughter trip. If you're visiting Dana Point, don't hesitate to book. If there is One thing you should do, let it be Parasailinh. It's so fun peaceful and relaxing. KEVIN AND the Other Employee Sailing the Ship were just phenomenal. Today I took my 17 and 12 year-old grandsons to Parasail for the very first time at Dana point parasailing. I must say Capri was amazing in helping us get all of our paperwork in order so friendly and helpful. And KOBE was an outstanding captain and took great care in making sure that everything was safe and professionally done. We had such a fun time. I would highly recommend this experience. My husband went parasailing with my niece, and my daughter went up with her boyfriend -- and they all had the time of their lives! They said the experience was absolutely amazing and they'd do it again in a heartbeat. The ride wasn't too short or too long -- it was just perfect. The crew was friendly and made everyone feel safe and excited. If you're thinking about trying parasailing in Dana Point, do it -- you won't regret it! read more

THANK YOU!!! Great time! We had 3 different reservations for our large family of 20. We all had a great time. One of the groups saw dolphins during there trip, which was a treat. It was definitely a very fun experience!! Hope to go again in the future. I wish I could be in the air longer than the 10 minutes but the 10 minutes was a very fun time. I loved going right into the ocean too!! Highly recommend for anyone!! I was not afraid of heights at all!! read more

I cannot tell you how much FUN THIS WAS!!! It was perfect. I still feel high from my 8 to 10 minutes of joy in the sky! And it was 5 hours ago. Christopher and his nephew (too high on life to recall his name, sorry! Caleb maybe??) were lovely, fun, professional, and made my 1st parasailing adventure a top notch experience. The young lady who checked us in was very nice too, and I think we forgot to tip her. Next time! Thanks Dana Point Parasail. You rock and you brought joy to my life! Oh, and I agree with others that you must be DUNKED! :) They only "dunk" your legs really..... just such a blast. I am so grateful I found DPP today. :) read more

We had the absolute best time last weekend. This was my second time parasailing with here and it did not disappoint. The two guys were so kind and likable which made the experience even better. We went with a group of three other couples who we are living their best life. We liked that there were several other groups because it meant more time on the water. The boat ride is just as much fun as the actual parasailing. We even were lucky enough to spot a few dolphins both while up in the air as well as from sitting on the boat. This is a ten out of ten experience I would recommend it to anyone, especially those afraid of heights and water - it's so worth it! read more

SUCH a great deal. AHmazing experience, chill "staff", awesome photos from the trip at a great price. I've parasailed for $300+ dollars for 5 minutes. This was $95 for 15+ minutes and it was beautiful!!! Dry start and dry landing so only your toes touch the water. Photo package 100% worth it. 11/10 recommend read more

Meet the Business Owner: Christopher T.

Christopher T. Is a USGC-licensed Captain and avid outdoorsman. Christopher has spent most of the last decade on the water in one form or another, running fishing charters and other passenger operations. From 2009-2015 he operated parasailing vessels out of Catalina Island and Newport Harbor. He received his USCG Captain's license in 2009 and has personally managed the Newport Harbor operations but always dreamed of opening his own operation. In 2015 that dream became a reality. He loves what he does so much he captains Dana Point Parasail's vessel and oversees all on-site operations.

They were lovely, helpful, and gave good info. The boat was choppy, which I enjoyed, but I felt 100% safe the entire time. Of course, the main attraction was the dolphins (& sea lions); it was amazing. We must have seen at least 500 of them, jumping in and out, in Sync with the boat and each other. Earlier this year I completed one of the three items on my bucket list (yes, only three), which was to see the Aurora Borealis (In Lapland, Finland), and I have to be honest, today's experience topped that by far (also much less cold). To sum it up, thanks to Captain Maria, Janelle, and the lovely Hannah, I had the best experience I never knew I needed to experience! P.S. Item #2 was also completed earlier this year. P.P.S. Item #3 is still waiting (for 36 years now).

Located at the Dana Point Harbor, Capt Dave has dedicated parking lot. No bathrooms in the building…read morebut 2 bathrooms a skip away. They depart from the building towards the boat 15 mins beforehand so they want you to check in 30mins before (and on weekends/holidays, check in 45mins before). The boat departs on time at the scheduled time, so make sure you are here in the building 15-30mins before your booked time. We booked at 1pm and that's when the boat left the dock. We were gathered at the office at 12:45 to head towards the boat and unfortunately a couple missed their slot because they were not even in the parking lot at 1pm when the boat sailed. Don't make their mistake, just make sure you are parked at least 15mins before the booked time. They were willing to wait 5 mins, but not 30 mins, so timeliness from guests is important as we had almost 30 people on board. As you are led from the building to the boat, they have a pit stop at the bathroom as they warned that the boat's bathroom that can't take toilet paper and can easily clog. Unfortunately the ocean waters was unusually warm when we booked on 7/03 for whale/dolphin sighting so we didn't see any but they have a sighting guarantee so they gave us all a voucher to come back again for free. They gave out a delicious brownie at the end too, so I'm excited to come back for the brownie!

We went on a family trip together for this Independence Day weekend. My dad suffered a stroke in…read moremid-December last year, and luckily he has recovered quite a bit since then. However, since he still can't travel too far, we decided to visit somewhere close by. So, we booked a hotel in Dana Point and had a wonderful two-night trip. On Saturday, July 4th, we all booked tickets for a whale/dolphin-watching cruise. When I booked the tickets, I asked how long the tour would be, and they said it would be two hours. The ticket prices were $78 for adults and $68 for seniors. At first, my brother accidentally bought all five tickets at the adult rate when three of them should have been seniors. I noticed this on the receipt, so I managed to get a refund for the price difference for the three senior tickets. We bought five tickets for the 12:00 PM cruise and were told to wait at Dock 6 starting from 11:45 AM, but the boat arrived a bit late. Once we got on board, the wind was blowing incredibly hard, and the waves were quite high, causing the boat to rock violently. After boarding, a friendly female crew member gave us a briefing at the front. She kindly advised everyone on board not to run, and said that if anyone felt seasick, it would be better to stay towards the back of the boat rather than the front. She also mentioned that if the motion sickness got too bad, they could provide peppermint or ginger candies, and added that there was a bar and snack counter inside the boat. Come to think of it, I once went sailing on a yacht with my friends a long time ago. For the first 30 minutes, I was clapping, taking photos, and having a great time, but then I got so severely seasick that I had a truly miserable time (the same thing happened to me on a cruise trip before). Still, when I rode a boat at Lake Arrowhead last year, I didn't experience any seasickness at all, so I thought I would be fine this time too--though looking back, that was probably because the lake was so calm. But during this cruise on July 4th, I ended up getting so incredibly seasick that I felt like I was dying. About 10 minutes before we docked, the seasickness got so severe that I even started dry-heaving, and it was just awful. I was dizzy, and my stomach kept churning. Even so, it was really wonderful to see so many dolphins during the cruise, and the crew members were all so kind. When I was struggling with severe seasickness, my brother went to inform the crew. A crew member came over and asked if I wanted a peppermint, ginger, or ginger ale candy. I asked for a peppermint candy, and they handed it to me, saying it was free. When I asked, "Does it work?" she assured me it would. I sucked on the candy while sitting at the back of the boat and fell asleep, but later on, the seasickness became so overwhelmingly intense that I ended up throwing up everything and had a horrible time. Anyone who gets easily seasick should definitely take this into consideration before going on a cruise. Still, seeing so many dolphins was a huge highlight.

She acknowledged my concerns, validated how I felt about the experience, and assured me that improved staff training would take place so that these kinds of interactions are eliminated in the future. Brianna restored my faith in Duffy rentals, but I still would not go back if Shirley is the face of the company at the boat dock. I was disappointed with how she handled a conflict during our experience. Rather than remaining calm, listening to the concern, and working toward a reasonable solution, the interaction felt unnecessarily confrontational and poorly managed. I understand that difficult situations can arise in any customer-facing business, but employees--particularly those placed in positions where they are expected to resolve problems--should have the training and professionalism to de-escalate conflict rather than contribute to it. My concern isn't that there was a disagreement; disagreements happen. It was the way the situation was handled. Better communication, maturity, and conflict-resolution training would have made a significant difference in our experience. But, again... thank you to Brianna for taking my call on a weekend.

Can't say enough about what a great enjoyable time my kids and I had with Dana Point Parasail. Booking was way in an easy. I called and Christopher helped me to book with some simple information. No payment was due until check in on the day of which is always nice. I received a detailed confirmation email stating all procedures, location and check in info. It was great. Parking is minutes in the area but it is free which is nice. Once parked it was a short walk to the dock where we where checked in and ready to board the boat. The crew was friendly and engaging. Played good music and kept the excitement alive. We were quickly and safety harnessed up and given life jackets (required for the flight but not the boat ride. The captain crew inflated the parachute, which was an all moment and itself. They then guided my children nine to the back of the boat, or we were seated and clipped into the parachute. Quickly, and with ease, we were lift it into the area where we enjoy the site of the ocean below us. it's winter, so it was called but we bundled up and wear shoes and asked not to be dipped in the water which they said was totally fine. The view is spectacular. I was a little scared taking my children but honestly, it was amazing and while accelerating also serene at the same time. We felt as we started to be reeled back in still taking in the beautiful sites as we did. We landed right back in the boat standing. It was so easy. We enjoyed the bust ride as others parasailed as well. Be prepared that they move at a high speed and holding on is a must. I highly recommend this establishment for all ages. Don't think. My mother purchased a Groupon for my son and me to go tandem parasailing with California Parasail in Santa Barbara. My son was 8 years old and incredibly excited. Attempt #1 (2025): We booked months in advance. About an hour before our scheduled trip, it was canceled due to "wind." From where we were, the weather appeared perfectly calm. I'm not a boater, so I accepted their explanation, even though it was disappointing. Attempt #2 (2025): We rescheduled for about a month later. Once again, roughly an hour before our reservation, the trip was canceled--this time because of "mechanical issues." I had picked my son up early and spent the day building excitement for the adventure. Telling him it was canceled again resulted in nothing but tears. When I tried to reschedule, I was told they were closing for the season. Attempt #3 (July 2026): I booked another trip three days in advance. Before booking, I checked the weather forecast (no significant wind expected) and even looked at availability, assuming any mechanical issues would have been addressed before a busy weekend. Yet again, about an hour before departure, I received another cancellation due to "mechanical issues." Once again, I had to tell my son the trip wasn't happening. Once again, there were tears. I understand that weather happens. Mechanical issues happen. Safety should always come first. But three last-minute cancellations over multiple bookings--with no meaningful effort to make things right--goes far beyond bad luck. At this point, it's difficult not to question whether these trips are consistently operating as advertised. What disappointed me most was the customer service afterward. I spoke with Amileah to explain how upsetting this had been, especially after three cancellations and repeatedly disappointing my young son. Rather than acknowledging the pattern or showing empathy, I was told that if I really wanted to parasail, I should drive to Long Beach--nearly three hours away. When I expressed my frustration, she told me that because I was "on the defensive," there was nothing she could do for me, encouraged me to "write all the reviews you want," and ended the call with an overly cheerful "have a great vacation." That response was more disappointing than the cancellations themselves. Santa Barbara is my hometown, and I hate writing a review like this about a local business. I genuinely wanted this experience to work. But after three failed attempts, countless disappointed conversations with my son, and customer service that left me feeling dismissed instead of valued, I simply can't recommend California Parasail based on my experience. I sincerely hope others have a better experience than we did.

Automatically given 4 hours of free parking with quick access to any of the numerous restaurants and gift shops right on the water. This is the spot if you want to go offshore fishing on a charter or whale watching which I did on a couple hour tour it was outstanding. Not to mention all the whales dolphins and other mammals that were seen offshore. Tuesdays they still do half off. We went on a family trip together for this Independence Day weekend. My dad suffered a stroke in…read moremid-December last year, and luckily he has recovered quite a bit since then. However, since he still can't travel too far, we decided to visit somewhere close by. So, we booked a hotel in Dana Point and had a wonderful two-night trip. On Saturday, July 4th, we all booked tickets for a whale/dolphin-watching cruise. When I booked the tickets, I asked how long the tour would be, and they said it would be two hours. The ticket prices were $78 for adults and $68 for seniors. At first, my brother accidentally bought all five tickets at the adult rate when three of them should have been seniors. I noticed this on the receipt, so I managed to get a refund for the price difference for the three senior tickets. We bought five tickets for the 12:00 PM cruise and were told to wait at Dock 6 starting from 11:45 AM, but the boat arrived a bit late. Once we got on board, the wind was blowing incredibly hard, and the waves were quite high, causing the boat to rock violently. After boarding, a friendly female crew member gave us a briefing at the front. She kindly advised everyone on board not to run, and said that if anyone felt seasick, it would be better to stay towards the back of the boat rather than the front. She also mentioned that if the motion sickness got too bad, they could provide peppermint or ginger candies, and added that there was a bar and snack counter inside the boat. Come to think of it, I once went sailing on a yacht with my friends a long time ago. For the first 30 minutes, I was clapping, taking photos, and having a great time, but then I got so severely seasick that I had a truly miserable time (the same thing happened to me on a cruise trip before). Still, when I rode a boat at Lake Arrowhead last year, I didn't experience any seasickness at all, so I thought I would be fine this time too--though looking back, that was probably because the lake was so calm. But during this cruise on July 4th, I ended up getting so incredibly seasick that I felt like I was dying. About 10 minutes before we docked, the seasickness got so severe that I even started dry-heaving, and it was just awful. I was dizzy, and my stomach kept churning. Even so, it was really wonderful to see so many dolphins during the cruise, and the crew members were all so kind. When I was struggling with severe seasickness, my brother went to inform the crew. A crew member came over and asked if I wanted a peppermint, ginger, or ginger ale candy. I asked for a peppermint candy, and they handed it to me, saying it was free. When I asked, "Does it work?" she assured me it would. I sucked on the candy while sitting at the back of the boat and fell asleep, but later on, the seasickness became so overwhelmingly intense that I ended up throwing up everything and had a horrible time. Anyone who gets easily seasick should definitely take this into consideration before going on a cruise. Still, seeing so many dolphins was a huge highlight.
