Our kids had an amazing time and even got a special tour from the staff. Food was pretty good, the menu for brunch is rotational and overall we enjoyed the meal but it was not the high point of the visit. Several of us got the fried chicken and biscuit and it was good with honey but was hoping the fried chicken would have been more crispy. Fries were yummy and salad option was delightful. We sat near misters, which we would probably ask not to for our next visit - little too strong for our eating setup. Overall a beautiful spot and wonderful way to spend a weekend with the family. He was very attentive, checking back to ensure a great experience. I had the butternut squash soup for a starter and the eggs benedict as the main course. Very delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. After brunch we walked the entire grounds and the main floor of the Inn. The Interior of the Inn on the main floor is very clean and elegant with beautiful furnishings and art. The grounds are quiet and peaceful with nook and open areas for relaxing with a glass of champagne or cup of coffee. The Flower Barn must be seen. There was a wreath making class going and countless beautiful dried flowers hanging from the ceiling of every variety. There is a little store on the property with more dried flowers, olive oils, jams and balsamic vinegar from the valley. Soothing jazz music played in the various areas of the property. I can imagine what the propery must look like at night, or for a wedding or party. I am looking forward to returning!

Lastly, the bread pudding was literally baked fresh to the point where we almost couldn't order it. The staff told us it would be a bit of a wait, but when it took a little longer than expected, they continued to check in on us and whether we still wanted to wait. It was definitely worth it! It wasn't as sweet / cinnamon-y as other bread puddings that I've had, but was moist without being soggy and felt like a true homemade recipe. I was…read moreimmediately confronted by a wait person who accused me of dining and dashing the last time I came here for dinner. Mind you that I have never in my entire life ever left a restaurant without paying. I'm no teenager so definitely can pay what I owe. And in fact, in the last few visits, have generously tipped the old mill staff at minimum 20-25%. When I chose to give them $100 to cover the bill they accused me of not paying the last time...they at first refused then proceeded to tell me the truth...that the machine they were using the night I was accused of not paying was not working and they had encountered multiple problems with different patrons that night...and many other payments had not gone through. In fact, they said after that they were forced to replace the entire system. So I ask, if you knew it was your system...why would you then accuse a patron of purposely not paying the bill. I stayed to eat. I even tipped extra. But after I left, I realized the situation put a distaste in my mouth. Hopefully the server and mgmt learn not to blame a Patti for their bad machine/system. That was in poor taste. That approach made the food tasted mediocre after that. Next time I'll think twice before I choose to come again.
