From time to time we go here I'm not big on the menu options, but I do always find something to have and it's very tasty. Their breakfast is always a hit. It's very tasty and I love sitting in their booth area their lunch and dinner otherwise hit or miss last time I went there I just ordered a salad because I didn't like all the stuff that on the menu, but I will say the Caesar salad is so freaking good so for me I feel like this place is really great for family. I would not recommend this restaurant. The food seemed to be prefabricated and over priced. The clam chowder tasted like it was right out of a can. Watered down and clam flakes were mixed in to give it a hint of a taste. The fried cod was very greasy and the shrimp looked pre made right out of the box. Went here last night with family. Was not so busy so got a table right away. The restaurant itself is nice and big. They have a nice bar in the back and plenty of seating. Plenty of parking. Had a couple of espresso martinis with our meals. Kids had the chicken strips from the kids menu. The zucchini spears is a delish appetizer! Overall service was great and the food was really good. Three of us ordered breakfast and waited awhile, which is fine. When served, each plate of food was lukewarm to cold. The Benedict was served with salty deli lunchmeat and a congealed very yellow (almost neon) sauce on an undercooked English muffin. The corned beef was stringy and old, the omelette had little to no cheese, so thin, the raw veggies poked through, and cold. Had to ask numerous times for sauces we were charged for, and the toast came in at the very end (cold) when we were done picking thru our food. Weird experience. The delivery service was not in their kitchen. The actual printed paper receipt from Dancing Tomato had "add chicken" on the receipt! This has nothing to do with the delivery service. As an actual business owner based in Yuba City for over 40 years, this is not the way you do business. Fool me once, that's on you. Fool me twice, that's on you. There will not be a third time. My husband has had tongue and throat cancer. It was gross. I would've done Pizza Hut before their pizza. It was so salty. I'm sorry to say that the food has gone downhill, since COVID?? We used to go in and get chips, salsa and a couple of personal pizzas along with a few beers. Well no more chips and salsa which is ok. But we went in last night and I had the worst 9" pizza ever and to top it off the first bottle of beer we had was cold but the second was warm and instead of saying "hey the beer was just put in the fridge" the waiter gave us a chilled glass like that was supposed to cool the warm beer down. So after 60.00 we have decided after many years of dining here that last night was our last. Despite seeing a good number of idle staff on our visit on a Thursday night, literally had to chase down the waitress for every drink refill, extra napkins, and even after she brought out the food not checking in afterward for over 15 minutes, which was a problem since either the kitchen made my dish wrong or the waitress wrote it wrong. You would expect a local business to have better service than a big chain place, but with the food being just so so, and the bad service, totally should have gone to the Olive Garden! The onion rings same frozen portion size small for the cost. Iced Tea was weak at best. The burger was good but patty was a bit overcooked and as for 1/3lb like most is pre cook but even then it was put on a diet very thin. Absolutely one of the neat meals we have been gifted. Our entire household came down with covid and it was the most traumatic experience we have endured. My husband had to be hospitalized and I was sick for over two weeks. A wonderful family dropped off lasagna, garlic bread, and salad when we were healing and it was by far one of the best meals we have received. They also sell them currently in "to go" bottles which is a better deal if you're having more than two or a party of 2 or more. I got the eggs Benedict which was great. When I picked this place I didn't know that the same family who owns this restaurant owned Cafe Italia in Davis. That was one of my favorite Davis restaurants and I was devastated when it closed. When I was seated here at DTC and looked around, I was astounded at how much it reminded me of Cafe Italia and my intuition was confirmed when I learned the truth. We came here for breakfast, and it was delightful. Eggs, pancakes, bacon, biscuits and gravy, all were fantastic. I had the polenta, spinach, and eggs, which was wonderful. I loved all the "up" options. "Cowboy up", "Popeye up", "Vampire up", etc. very clever. You need a "pork up" ("Wilbur up"?) for a side of bacon or ham. Next time I come back it'll be for dinner to see if you can make the Linguini and Clams a'la Cafe Italia. read more

I don't like to leave bad reviews but I feel like I have no other option at this point. I've been a loyal customer of the DT since day one and I've even been in arguments standing up for the place. I've tried contacting the restaurant directly before going public, but never heard a response. I once even suggested they make a 1-1-1 option with a cute rhyme and I was never acknowledged at all. Breakfast is still great, but this is for the lunch and dinner. The pasta, has gone down hill extremely. I am not sure what has happened but they need to rewind to five years ago and get those recipes and quality control levels back. The pasta is slimy, and it's drowning in sauce that is slimy as well. My old favorite dish was Pasta Kaboom, and now it is inedible. Complete slime, every time for the past couple of years. It is so disappointing. Please consider continuing education for your cooks, and retraining in the old ways. read more

We are new to the area and have been trying new restaurants. Upon entering this establishment we had high hopes as there was good vibes. Our server Alicia was slow which wasn't a big deal we are not in a rush. After waiting an hour we still did not have food. She came by and said the kitchen was backed up which wasn't a problem. What is a problem is that when the food came out it was literally cold to the touch. That doesn't sound like backed up kitchen to me. Telling our server about the cold food her only response was awww im sorry do you want me to heat it up? Like bro we just sat here over an hour how is our food coming out cold that makes no sense. Honestly.. I used to really like this place but this experience we had this morning was just NOT it. Upon being seated we immediately gave our drink orders and met our server Karla who was very sweet. We did our food orders which were pretty simple ... I got steak and eggs with hashbrowns + side of French toast, my husband got the cowboy + a side of French toast and my mom got a senior menu item. Our food was out very quickly and things looked delicious but things turned bad after we received our food. I found multiple hairs wrapped up in my food and my husband and I's French toast were cold and hard like they've been sitting and they just served us leftovers from a previous table. When I told Karla about the situation she took our food back and said it would be out shortly. My French toast came out quickly but Some random server ran my food and my husband's French toast.... They had my ticket, they knew what food I wanted and needed.... They brought me out country potatoes instead of regular hashbrowns and my eggs were fried instead of over easy, AFTER it already was sent back due to hair and cold food. When I asked this server to speak with the manager he just walked away. Not sure if he didn't hear me or what but he didn't even check to see if this is what I ordered or if the order was correct.
