I had an issue with my dryer and Dandy Appliance was quick to respond! Within hours of submitting a request through Yelp, I had a reply and made an appointment for the following day. There's a fee for the initial visit which is deducted from your final bill if you decide to move forward with them. He inspected the dryer and discovered that the drive belt and idle pulley were worn out . Since my dryer is an older model, he had to order them and couldn't fix it right there and then. Once he received the parts, we scheduled for a second visit and he fixed it within 30 minutes. I thought the whole thing was super efficient and really appreciated the promptness. While I'm not sure if the price was standard ($200), it was cheaper than replacing the whole thing so I'm not complaining. read more

He got back to me right away and came out to take care of my gas oven on a Saturday without complaint, was very nice, and I don't think he charged extra for that. He diagnosed, charged me a pretty reasonable-ish price for the work, happened to have the right part with him, and had it done in less than an hour. He also took a look at my refrigerator ice maker without complaint or charging me extra. He explained that my icemaker is involved in a class action suit and has been for many years and can't be fixed... He could have charged me for "fixing" it just like two other appliance guys did in the last few years, but he was too honest to do that. His diagnostic fee was right in the middle of all the quotes I got and he deducted it from the total repair bill anyway. He could have charged me a lot more but the business he will get from me will more than offset it. He was crazy pleasant and very professional. I would use him again and throw my rep on the line by referring him to everyone I know, especially to Yelpers. Look no further. Marc came out to assess a leak in my dishwasher. He flushed it of built up of some foaming suds and it was working without leaking for a few weeks. At that visit he stated that if it continued to leak the door gasket would need to be replaced. When it began to leak again before Thanksgiving I gave Marc a call and he was to order the gasket and contact me when he received it. Well it's been a month now with 4 phone calls and messages left without any attempt to reach out to me. Without being able to use my dishwasher for Christmas baking etc. I am an understanding person and give people the benefit of the doubt maybe a health issue etc. came up. But If you are running a business you should have people monitoring the phones for you if there is a problem. I definitely would not recommend Dandy's appliance repair. Poor customer service and follow up. When an appliance isn't working it is an inconvenience at the very least. Not to have my dishwasher for Thanksgiving was a BIG inconvenience. Dandy is the best!!!!!! They performed reasonably priced (probably too cheap) diagnostic on my washing machine where Marc gave me the cost of a potential repair. He gave me the pros and cons of the repair vs buying a new one. There was absolutely no pressure to go forward with the repair but I decided to repair the washer. On the way out the door I asked Marc to look at my dishwasher which had been slightly leaking into a pan I put under the unit. Just a few days later parts came in for both and Marc came back to make the repairs. I have a 20-year old Kenmore Elite gas dryer that started making high pitched sound. After I requested quotes for the repair job via Yelp, Marc responded quickly. Apparently most of our appliances have hit that magic age where they start needing some TLC: so far Marc has been out for one dryer issue and two refrigerator issues, and had we not replaced our dishwasher about a year ago I'm sure we'd be asking about that, too. While I don't love that my stuff is starting to wear out, I'm really glad to have found Marc for when it does. We contacted him here on Yelp when our refrigerator's water line started leaking, and he's assisted us with our gas dryer and an unrelated refrigerator issue since. However, after LG came out for a courtesy review for an out of warranty washer, the correct diagnosis was an electrical issue and not the washer at all.
