Was very fortunate to run into this place on yelp. Few co workers and I have been going to coldstone for our ice cream fix about three times a month during lunch and we are pleased that this place was conveniently close enough for us to drive to and purchase the pints sized ice cream to eat at work. The flavors that we had tried for today was White Pistachio and Strawberries & Brown Sugar. The white pistachio was extremely flavor full and packed with WHOLE pistachios, and unlike many other pistachios ice cream the color was very natural without the excessive food coloring and it had a very creamy complextion on the palate. The Strawberries & Brown Sugar was almost like being in a candy parlor. The taste took you into a sweet candy shop. Something about the the strawberries was interesting in a good way. The amount of brown sugar was perfect not dominating the taste of strawberries, it's a great combination altogether. Overall the experience was great, at first going to pick up the price cream was quite a task since the office/plant was so well hidden. Parking is difficult in the plaza of suites so park along the street and walk it's a lot more convenient. The office will put you off a little bit since there's no color or banner aside from a small sign (But what can u expect? This place was meant as a plant for wholesale ice cream) and there big van parked in their designated spot. However once inside you 'll be greeted by an amazingly helpful (and I must admit cute as hell ) staff member. She was accommodating even going back and forth into the main office to a back room to get us a list of flavors and then spoons and napkins. They came to my workplace earlier this year, and the little booth they set up was so cute! The ice cream itself is not particularly notable, or maybe it just wasn't to my taste. Fast forward about 25 years and I needed a dessert for my youngest daughter's wedding in Los Alamos, California - over 100 miles from Los Angeles. We needed something fun and not overly fussy so I immediately thought of ice cream sundaes. After searching in vain for someone in the Central Coast area who could provide what I wanted, on a whim I contacted Dandy Don's prepared to pay any sum to get them to come to Los Alamos. Matthew Roysner was so amazing - agreeing to come to the wedding, charging a very fair price, and refusing my offer to put the servers up in a hotel that night so they didn't have to drive up and back in one day. As was the case years ago, the homemade ice cream - 5 flavors! - were all delicious, and the topping selections - over 20 of them!!! - were all fantastic. The serving cart is adorable and the servers - Matt and Neda - arrived on time, set up everything, and served all the guests with smiles. dandy don's booth appeared out of no where, while i was at work, and then i heard they were free so i went to go check it out! the strawberry ice cream i got was a pretty big scoop, but it was very light and refreshing. the flavor was perfect. there was a table with all these toppings, so i added some crushed oreos. i wish i could have had the option to get two different scoops of ice cream - one strawberry and one chocolate though, instead of the oreo topping. read more

Dandy Don has catered our annual event for several years; this would have been my 2nd year coordinating this event (with over 500 attendees) and working with him. However, when I phoned today, Don himself answered and before I could even introduce myself and explain that we wanted to use his services again, he asked me to hold, answered another call and proceeded to chat with the other caller while I waited. I could hear him. He returned to my call to tell me that he had to go because he had "a bigger name" on the other line and that I would have to call him later if I wanted to to talk to him.
