Scam alert This guy came in to check my roof ac. And the only option he gave me was to buy through him via loan a new AC of at least 8k... He ran his checks and explained to me the whole process in terms I coukd understand. Our AC downstairs broke down unexpectedly during the triple digit heat and we have a 10 months baby at home, it was true urgency! Dandy Heat and Air was very quick to respond to my Yelp request, explained their pricing (very straight forward, no hidden fee) and told me they could be here on the same day! The technician G was punctual (actually came 15 minutes early) and super friendly. He diagnosed the problem within 10 minutes and replaced the capacitor and our AC was good to go! G also checked our other equipment for upstairs to make sure it will continue to work and informed me that this one can only last for a little longer as it has never been replaced since the 2005, the year this house was built. Charged me $500 for both capacitors and waived the $69 diagnostic fee. The price is a discounted one since 1 capacitor is priced at $325. He measured temperatures from the vents to verify there is adequate amount of Freon so I don't have to worry about any future issues coming up. In addition, he gave very helpful advice on how to best maintain AC and the types of filters to buy. I am very impressed by this company's service and will definitely recommend them to friends and family and for any future AC problems I might encounter!! read more
