Terrible. The girl rushed through the take off of my gel mani so roughly. I kept pulling my hand away and expressing pain and then she'd go right back to rushing and being rough. I ended up just telling her to not even worry about the manicure, just finish the take off. And yet she still rushed as if there was a client coming in directly after me. I have this weird nail on my toe, and it usually hurts or is very uncomfortable at best, but Stephanie took great care and it didn't hurt at all. They know what they're doing. First, when I went in there, they immediately started helping me and left the girl who was in there before me completely by herself. The color on the nail was definitely not the color I picked, and while they did three layers on my right hand, they did only two on my left. Got a Mediocre manicure that wasn't clean despite saying the polish was bleeding into cuticle. Also they completely ruined my nails taking the gel off to the point where the file machine hurt the top of my nail; they shaved a ton on my actual nail bed off and now my nails have never been this weak. Huge lack in transparency with pricing, felt extremely nickel and dimed here. No salon in nyc has ever charged gel removal when you get a manicure. I will never come back and would rather pay more money for a better experience. My normal nail tech was not available and I read this place had good reviews and they do acrylics. They don't. They suggested that using powder and gel polish instead and that it would be the same. The texture didn't look right. I knew I didn't want to get nail art because gel normally chips quickly on my regular nails. It had been 4 days and it already chipped in multiple places.
