Am very surprised by the mostly positive reviews of this place and the current 4 star rating. I've been here a few times and think it's average at best. To start with the good, the staff is incredibly friendly and I do feel like they do a pretty decent regular mani/pedi for the price. It's also incredibly clean inside, which I appreciate. For the negatives, it's far from a relaxing experience. They're rushing so much that they end up being super rough, and it can be pretty painful. This last time, they were basically throwing things on me and then ripping them off. They didn't even bother to wipe the wax fully off my foot. Of lesser importance, water is always room temperature or cold, the towels are never hot, they make it you get up mid-manicure to wash your hands. Again, it's solid if it's nearby and you need a clean, friendly place to go. But I don't know that I'd make this my regular spot. read more

I had the mani + pedi package which is priced at $52.00 it included a 5 minute massage on legs and feet, and hands. This nail salon was very relaxing. They keep noise levels to a minimum and have "spa" instrumental music playing in the background. Chairs are comfortable for the pedicure. The options for nail polish are fabulous!! My first visit was a week ago: easy and pleasant booking, esthetically on point, sterile, smells good, fantastic chairs, amazing prices and true professional technicians that take pride in their work. I chose the Milk and Honey spa package- (highly recommend) if you have the time to be pampered for hours. Miss Nails came highly recommended from a friend who works on the UES. I'm glad I made an appointment because several people who came in after me were told to come back later. I just had a basic pedicure done, but it was one of the nicer ones I have had done in the city. Miss Nails has a range of beautiful polishes to choose from, and I could have upgraded to a number of delightful and relaxing pedicures. I got my nails done 11 days ago with them, I got a gel mani and it looked great walking out but within 3 days all of the gel polish began to lift and I was out of town so I wasn't able to go back in to get them fixed. Cute clean nail salon close to my apartment but I regret not walking few extra blocks to get my nails done every time I come here. First of all, none of them can shape. I usually leave with ten nails all in different shapes regardless of who does my nails. You ask for square/oval and they saw it down to perfect square with sharp corners that can be used to open Amazon packages. And when I saw they I mean most of them. They are good at colour applications though. They give you a massage while you dry (which almost all nails salons do? then tack on extra charge for 10 min massage you didn't request! The ladies here are the catty kinds who talk and laugh about their customers. I mean they look right at you and cackle - can they be any less obvious? Nicky is by far the meanest and has a bad attitude and works like she's too good for her job. Flat out didn't want to stamp my reward card. Rude. You can walk a bit more east and get better deals. I made an appointment and went in for a uv gel fill and a gel pedi. I assumed i would have one then the other. They seated me for a pedicure and showed me a price listing and i picked the lavender gel pedi. Then they asked if i wanted my callouses attended to. I assumed the callouses are part of the pedi price but was told it was another $13, so i agreed. Then as the pedicure started another woman came over and placed a pillow down on my arm rest and asked for my hand to start my mani. Normally uv gel mani takes about an hour as does a gel pedi. So i assumed i'd be done in an hour. I didnt like having both done at the same time because it is not relaxing, and at times my arm was contorted so she could work on hand on opposite side of her, it was uncomfortable. Neither woman tried to make any conversation with me. Sometimes i prefer to just do my own thing but it felt like they were unhappy or just not friendly. When my pedi was done they had me move to a mani table to finish. All in all it took 2 hours and 15 min and which is longer than it usually takes to do them separately. I ended up paying about $232 before tip which is about $60-75 more than i pay elsewhere. They kept adding on additional $ for things that are usually part of the service! I will say they did a decent job but i feel taken advantage of. Wont be returning, so sad! read more
