Stopped by Daniel's for a quick snack after happy hour. Managed to grab seats at the bar even though they were pretty busy around 8:30p. Ordered a filet mignon medium rare, Parmesan fries and a glass of red. Everything came out quick and was exactly to order and delicious. The bartenders were fantastic and made sure everything was as expected. This place gets busy on a Friday night so make sure you've got reservations. Also, if this bar is too full, Daniel's has a sports bar connected to it. The menu is slightly different but also seemed to be busy when I glanced inside. The place is called D's. read more

Went straight in for the main event..the 45 day dry aged prime cowboy ribeye, 22 ounces, split three ways. This cut does not play around .. deep, funky, dry-aged flavor in every bite. Sides were not an afterthought here. Maine Lobster mac & cheese loaded with aged cheddar, aged gruyère, parmesan, and lumachine pasta. It was super rich, creamy, gone in minutes. Just stopped in to try out Daniel's happy hour menu. I sat at the watching the World Cup. I did the $22 happy meal which is a Smash wagyu burger with rosemary fries with a dirty martini. I loved the idea of a simple adult happy meal. I added a Caesar salad which was amazing. The bar area and dining area was very well setup. The bartender made sure I was okay. Our first visit to Daniel's exceeded every expectation. The food was outstanding, the quality of the ingredients was impeccable, every dish was beautifully presented, and the service was exceptional. A special thank you to Martino for making our evening so enjoyable. This is truly one of the finest restaurants in South Florida, and we are already looking forward to our next visit. Ironically, we almost never came. Nearly two years ago, neighbors shared that they had a disappointing experience and never received a response after writing to the owners. We wanted to try some place new so we went to Daniel's. A very nice ambiance, and the service from bartender to the waiting staff was simply superb. They were friendly, helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable. Of course all of that would have been nothing if the food had not been amazing, especially the Wagyu steak. I can't argue about their food. I had their filet mignon done rare, Pittsburgh style, and it turned out to be totally delicious. It was one of the best I've ever had, with a perfect Pittsburgh char. The beef was from the DemKota supplier, which I had never heard of. But, a quick Google let me know it is one of the most exclusive and best of meat suppliers. Not many restaurants openly let you know where or from whom they purchase their meats. That is probably for good reasons as you may find out you are eating the same quality of meat from the same supplier to Pubiix, or worse. What I didn't like about Daniel's is that they don't respect reservations. We had reservations but got that old "why don't you have a seat at the bar" routine. So we sat, sat and sat at the bar for so long we finally gave up and ordered our meals at the bar. Also, the noise level. I was downright excruciating. We couldn't even have a conversation. So, though Daniel's steakhouse food is five starts, their ambience and comfort level is only a miserable lowly one star; hence my overall rating is three Yelp stars read more

The food was delicious. We started with steak tartar and crab cake. The crab cake was all crab and the accompanying sauces (including a Meyer lemon sauce) made it different than the many crab cakes I have had in Maryland. We shared a porterhouse, which was plenty for two with enough to take home. The meat was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. We ordered the corn pudding which was decadent. It's like the sweetest, richest creamed corn you will ever eat. Dessert was an excellent key lime pie. The staff recognized Husband's birthday with a card. Two managers stopped by at different times to check in. Tables are close and the place is noisy, so not the place for a quiet date. Over the last 20 years I have been regularly underwhelmed by the food scene in Fort Lauderdale. I have found most restaurants here to be sub par at best. Frequently I found myself having to travel to Miami or Palm Beach for what I would consider a decent meal. Understandably when I heard about this new hottest restaurant I was skeptical. However I was completely blown away. Easily, the best meal I have ever had in Fort Lauderdale. I would even go as far as to say it would be in my top 10, possibly even top 5. I came with my husband to celebrate his birthday and he was welcomed with a birthday card-- a detail I've never seen before at any other restaurant! I got the empanadas, steak for my entree and the chocolate vanilla soft serve swirl for dessert. Everything was really good, especially the steak! We started with the sourdough bread and the tuna tartare which had a perfect spicy touch that woke up the palate. For the main event, the Tomahawk 23oz (perfect for a couple) was a revelation. The combination of the volcano salt and their signature tomato sauce on the side elevated the flavor to another level. Had a great experience at Daniel's! Weekend reservations are hard to come by without much notice but we snagged a reservation for 8:30pm. The restaurant was busy and does not leave much room for privacy with seating. We were seated promptly upon arrival and the server quickly came to the table. We were provide with options and they displayed the cuts of steak they had. We opted for caviar and chips, truffle mashed potatoes, and 8 oz filet. As for drinks the passion star martini was delicious! Perfectly Balanced, not too sweet or tart. Our server and wait staff remained attentive and were always available or checking in. As for the steak, we both ordered medium but mine came out looking completely different and once I reached center, it was rare. I opted not to send back since I had plenty for leftovers but not sure the disconnect there. Otherwise, everything was great! The restaurant was getting busy, we got sat at a really nice table in the middle of the restaurant with a nice view of the open kitchen and the restaurant in its entirety. The valet and staff were super friendly and welcoming. The experience was superb from start to finish. We cleaned our plates-- literally ate everything off the plates. The only thing we didn't eat was the endive garnish and the steak sauce. Food: ** Chicken and caviar - Thank you for accommodating the request (it was not on the menu) - simply outstanding. ** Truffle cacio e pepe- perfectly cooked, just delicious. ** FL NY strip - Wowzers, the crust, rub, and temp was spot on, beautifully cooked. ** Creamed spinach- so good I can't get over it. I'm normally not a fan of creamed spinach, but this was a legit perfect POT OF GOLD. ** Twice-baked potato - had a beautiful crusty potato like a muffin top on the outside and creamy inside. ** Key lime lemon tart - amazing, perfect ratio of graham cracker(lots of it) and filling. Service: The service was top-notch, servers went above and beyond. It was not overbearing or annoying. We did not feel rushed; it was well-paced and on point. Shout out and kudos to our servers-- Geoffrey and Karl, you guys were stellar!! My only complaint would be that the tables are small-- I wish they were bigger. Even for 2 people (we eat for 4 people), playing Tetris with dishes on the table was challenging. Just brilliant and such an incredible experience. Came here for a long-awaited celebration dinner. We made a reservation for four of us and we were led to our table right away. It was quite a small table given how many plates and glasses we each needed so it was pretty crowded and a bit limiting. The service was excellent, our server and everyone else that approached our table were extremely accommodating and friendly. Some people may feel that the level of service here might be a bit overbearing with the amount of people that continuously come to the table to check on you, I personally did not mind it. The food was delicious and there is no doubt about it, however, for the price you are paying, I would not say it is worth it. The best dishes were the twice baked potato side, the filet minion, and the chocolate hazelnut dessert cake (one of the best desserts I have ever had!). First and foremost the service was exceptional. Skylar and Doug were wonderful. From the minute we were seated we felt welcomed and taken care (think pretty much everyone wished us a happy new year). The food was delicious, there wasn't anything we ordered we couldn't state that to. We started with the bread service and the the blue crab cake which was divine, I preferred it with not utilizing all the lemon curd (I think that's what it was) but the person I was with loved the strong lemon taste. I will note the person I was with hates crab and immediately forgot what she was eating on the first bite. We both ordered steaks, I got the filet minon wagyu flight which was so simple but delicious. Every piece melted in your mouth my party ordered the truffle butter which was delicious but I chose not to use it because the steak was so good on its own. We did get a side of the crimini mushrooms which were plentiful and taste so good. To end the night we got the red velvet cake which was decadent but not overly sweet. Every detail they seemed to take into consideration including the steak knives (the blade had swirls on them, but it wasn't what you would see from Damascus). The sourdough bread with the ricotta honey was sooooo yummy and flavorful. I got the Branzino and it was honestly the best branzino I have had, it melted in my mouth and was sooooo fresh and flavorful. SOO GOOD. My family got steaks and they said they were incredible. Daniel's is a gem. It's truly a five-star experience and is undoubtedly one of the most high-end restaurants in Fort Lauderdale. The bread was delicious, I could've done without the citrus-infused butter but the bread itself was so fluffy. The Wagyu and pearls was absolutely scrumptious, I could've had 50 of them. The filet was really good and seasoned to perfection, as were the fries. The lobster Mac and cheese was good but it was overtly cheddary. I usually really like cheddar but I found it slightly overbearing in this version. Regardless I still ate it up. Finally, the red velvet was everything I wanted. We had a lovely dinner for six at Daniel's in Fort Lauderdale. The location of the restaurant is easy to access and they have valet behind the building which is very convenient. The restaurant is open concept with the kitchen being open to the restaurant. The restaurant was completely sold out and I highly recommend reservations. I saw a few people trying to get tables without reservations and most ended up eating at the bar or leaving. Due to the restaurant being so full the only complaint I really have is that it was very loud in there. I do not know how they would correct that, but there were times where I couldn't hear the people at my table speaking. Once our dinner time was progressing and the restaurant thinned out just a little bit, the noise level made a significant improvement. The food is absolutely amazing. Our waiter was very attentive and the time from ordering food to receiving it was impressive considering how full the restaurant was. One of my guests ordered the Australian Wagyu New York strip, and said it was the best steak he had ever had. Another guest ordered the wagyu delmonico ribeye and loved it. I do not eat red meat and there were plenty of options for me as well. I had the red snapper which was absolutely delicious. We also ordered sides to share for the table which included lobster mac & cheese, twice baked potato and mushrooms. For dessert, we had a build your own sundae and the key lime pie. A minor side note regarding the sundae the brownie pieces were fresh baked and absolutely delicious. One more item I have to shout out is their bread. It's part of their appetizer options and I highly recommend giving it a try. They make a butter for the bread that is something I've never had before. It has a touch of salt, a touch of citrus. Went to Daniel's Steakhouse on a recent Sunday night. Now you all know what a good steak tastes like so I won't a lot of time on that. And the sides were also delicious. But there were 2 things worth noting. First, I ordered their signature martini, the Daniel's martini ($21).You can get it with vodka or gin but the interesting thing is it comes "deconstructed" so you assemble it yourself. I was asked how dirty I wanted it and I said "fairly dirty" and got two tiny vials of olive juice. The woman next to me said "slightly" and only got one. But there was definitely plenty of vodka as you can see in my pic! Also worth noting are the Bao buns appetizer ($24)These pastrami filled, onion and thousand island dressing topped, puffy bundles of deliciousness were amazing! I'd go there just for these. They need them on their D's sports bar menu! Our steaks were perfectly cooked, we had the NY strip ($95 each) which is my fav steak and they came out exactly how we wanted them. We shared the corn pudding (delicious) and the twice baked potato offering. And since it was my birthday we ordered the chocolate cake ($28). They also brought out a comped dessert which I wish they had told us about before we ordered the 2nd dessert as we really didn't need 2! But hey- it's my birthday! The ambiance is nice but very tight- you will be right on top of the people next to you. And if there was one thing that needs changing, it's the entranceway. They moved the hostess stand out of the doorway where it used to be when this was Canyon and positioned it to the side of the bar. There is no room to stand and people were bumping into each other. They need to re think this. It's definitely a splurge place as the prices are high (dinner for 2 with 3 drinks in total, 2 appetizers, 2 steaks, 2 shared sides and 1 dessert was $417 before tip), but the food and service were spot on- everything fine dining should be! read more
