Great service, delicious food and amazing presentation on all the bites. Brought my mom in for their Sunday Brunch experience and was very impressed with everything we ate. Our server Brandon was a joy, very friendly and attentive. All the food runners were polite and efficient. Our first series of bites were passed hor'derves and there were so many! The tuna sushi rice pops were nostalgic of childhood push pops. The oysters were not my favorite because I prefer them with a vinaigrette versus the dollop of cream this came with. The shrimp Ceviche was refreshing and light. The hot apps were mini crab cakes, chicken drumlette, and crispy shrimp that was tangy and spicy. All were delightful. Then came my favorites - the lobster crab cones and candied pistachio crusted bacon. Unique in presentation, amazingly tasty in flavor and loved the difference textures. We crossed over to the main entree with a warm cinnamon roll in between. A nice sweet treat. The portions for the mains were gracious and we were pretty full from just the appetizers. My Lobster Benedict was topped with a poached egg on the rare side. It was loaded with shredded meat and spinach on a soft crumpet bun. My mom's lobster roll was on a thick fluffy bun with a decent amount of lobster meat but shredded very fine and lightly seasoned with celery and parsley. The house made kettle chips were great! We first discovered Catch and Cut during brunch and enjoyed it so much that we decided to come back for Mother's Day dinner. Unfortunately, this visit was a completely different experience. The evening started off fine, but the timing and service quickly became an issue. We received two rounds of drinks before our soup ever arrived, which was already about an hour after being seated. By the end of the second hour, we still had not received dinner and had pretty much accepted that the evening and the celebration were unfortunately ruined. As we were preparing to pay and leave, we were told the food was finally ready. At that point, though, we were simply ready to go home. To their credit, they did not charge us for the meals and provided a 25% discount on the cocktails and soup. That was appreciated and absolutely the right thing to do. Still, it did not really make up for losing a special Mother's Day dinner experience that we had genuinely been looking forward to. What made this especially disappointing is that we already knew how good Catch and Cut could be based on our previous visit. So I brought my mom here for her birthday. Parking was relatively easy. We got parking directly across the street. Upon arriving, we were greeted warmly and taken to our table right away. It was a very small table. a table that makes you not want to order much because it gets crowded very quickly. And this really was the case. Our waiter came over and offered us water. I chose the still bottled water. I'm not sure if bread is available upon request, but I did have to ask for it. For my appetizer, I ordered the Snow crab escargot. It said it was supposed to be topped with breadcrumbs, but mine didn't have any so I did send it back. The second time it still seemed as if it barely had any on it, but I let it go. I was starving at this point. I guess it depends on who the chef is for the night because some of the pictures that I seen the dish was covered in it. It was a very good dish. Something that I would order again. I also did love their bread when I received it. It was nice and pillowy. For my entrée, I ordered the lamb chops at the time I do think they were ridiculously priced at $79 for five which is the most I've seen for the least amount of lamb chops. With that being said, the taste on them are impeccable. The coffee crust on them just works. Now my lamb chops came out to be a decent size, but my mom's were very small. She even asked why hers were so much smaller than mine and the reply is that they cooked longer but no amount of cooking could make it shrivel up like that. I was not a fan of the sides like at all, they need a lot of work. We had the potatoes au gratin. It was barely touched and the jumbo asparagus. I'm not sure how you can mess those up, but I wasn't a fan. All in all it was a good experience, but I'm expecting great when being charged those type of prices. read more

This place has been on my list to try since they opened and I finally got the chance. I took my mom here for a pre Mother's Day dinner and it did not disappoint. The place is beautifully decorated, both inside and outside. They do have valet for I think $7, so don't stress yourself trying to get there early to find parking. Upon entry we were immediately greeted by the host, who was super nice may I add, and she confirmed that on my online reservation I requested a booth. She said the booths were all taken currently but that we could sit at the bar and wait for it which we did. We got there at 8pm and the place was pretty full (downstairs seating area). We sat at the bar. There were plenty of open seats so we sat and got helped right away. We both ordered a drink and they were both delicious. Not too long after getting our drinks, the host came and told us our table was ready and that it had a reserved placard on it and we could take our time heading over there which was very nice. Our booth was towards the back of the main dining floor which was nice. We could see the sushi making area and the kitchen and it felt a little more quaint back there. The booth was super big and comfy. As for food, we got the crispy rice, the hamachi crudo, the snow crab escargot, the ribeye with scallops added, and the lobster mac and cheese, and bread pudding. Everything was 10/10 amazing, except for the Mac and cheese which tasted a little funky. My favorite thing was the escargot. The crab was super delicious and buttery and it comes with a huge piece of fluffy toast that is legit drenched in butter and then sitting in more melted butter. It was heaven on earth. The hamachi was super fresh and light. The scallops that came with the steak were also super big and delicious. They were cooked and seasoned to perfection. We were ready to roll out of there after all the food, but our server insisted we try a dessert so we ordered her recommendation of the bread pudding and it did not disappoint. It was cooked to perfection and so ooey gooey good. Our server, I forgot her name but she looks like the doppleganger of Chanel west coast. She was the best ever! Such an amazing personality, super attentive. Can't rave about her enough. Actually the whole staff was a 10/10. We went upstairs after dinner to check out the upstairs and I'm very glad I chose to eat downstairs. Upstairs is hot and humid. The area that faces las olas is super tight and a little claustrophobic feeling and the lounge area seemed to be closed but looked like a vibe. Went recently for a quick lunch. We sat outside; the views are gorgeous with the Fort Lauderdale water way in the back. We only ordered sushi and a tuna salad. All the seafood here is fresh and delicious. We also had two mojitos that were great. This place has a nice ambience, kind of an old school vibe, which makes sense since the owner spent nearly 30 years at Joe Stone crab. The prices are great on the dine out and the selection was terrific, especially the cioppino starter. Brunch was wonderful and you really only have to make one decision because the eight pass around appetizers are all brought to you. You don't get to choose you get them all. They were delicious with the sleeper being the chicken lollipop though the Lobster mini Cohen was fantastic also. Definitely a good value for $49. Service is always good. read more

We got the spicy tuna crispy rice as one of our starters, smaller bite and on the spicier side but tasty. The snow crab escargot was absolutely delicious and we should've saved some of the bread they dropped off initially to scoop up the extra topping left behind; highly recommend. For entrees we got the Chilean sea bass and the catch of the day which was salmon and scallops in a soy and ginger glaze. The Chilean sea bass was delicately cooked and in a mild curry sauce but the overall portion was smaller. The salmon was cooked perfectly, so were the scallops, and the entire dish was incredibly flavorful. For sides, we got the cream cheese spinach, lobster mac & cheese, and the Brussels sprouts. Cream cheese spinach tasted like your average creamed spinach at a steakhouse and the lobster Mac and cheese, while a very hearty portion of lobster, was bland so I'd actually recommend against it. The pleasantly surprising star of the show were the Brussels sprouts which had nuts and craisins mixed in. It was a good portion and absolutely delicious with good texture. Must order. Catch & Cut is in my neighborhood so it's often our "go to" spot when we are in a quandary about where to eat. My preferred place to sit is upstairs and outside on the front balcony area as there is always a nice breeze and I like to see what is going on on Las Olas. While I have eaten in the main dining room several times, the tiled ceiling creates a high volume of noise so it's sometimes hard to have a conversation without yelling. They definitely pour a good drink here and the bartenders, no matter where you sit, are engaging and helpful. Know that the same menu is now served both upstairs and down so if you want a burger and don't see it on the menu, they usually will make it for you. Their steaks are always well prepared but I was surprised to see no "surf and turf" option on the menu. When my friend asked about it- he was told he could order a lobster to go with his steak so he did, but that was a full menu price so like adding another entree. They were also lightly deep fried lobster done popcorn style but you can also get it grilled. Additionally on the night I was there, the king crab market price was $179 so you should always ask. They also came grilled which was detracted from the fresh taste of the crab so the next time I will ask if they can steam them for me. All the sides are good and sometimes, we just order drinks and one of their seafood towers which fits the bill. There are a lot of steak houses in the area so I work Catch & Cut into the rotation for steak less than I just use it as a great place to meet up with friends for drinks and a light bite. read more

Wow so good and so much food! To start, my lemon drop martinis were perfect. Sweet with a sugar rim and enough alcohol to feel it but not taste it. Gene, our waiter was hilarious and made us feel right at home and introduced us to os many of the other staff that night, including the gentleman who made the best scallops I've ever had in my life. I went on a Friday for happy hour and expected it to be a bit busier, but the whole blvd was kinda slow, probably because of the weather. I got a glass of wine at the downstairs bar while I waited for my friend to arrive. The downstairs is more upscale with white tablecloths and all. When my friend arrived we headed upstairs and had our pick of two bars. We went with the one overlooking Las Olas, and the vibe upstairs was much better IMO. Shoutout to our bartender Ana, who totally made the night. She had such a fiery personality, kept things fun and gave us great recs. We split a few apps from the happy hour menu (ceviche, tuna tacos, and the dip trio) and they were all really fresh and delish. We also tried a couple of their cocktails, and my favorite was the Promising Paradise, think lychee martini, but better. The toppings were a garnish basically and added nothing to the flavorless lettuce. There were two maybe three tiny little pieces of blue cheese. We ordered cake and ice cream for dessert. The ice cream was freezer burned and solid like a rock. Nothing fresh. Do better! A little quality to the ingredients is in order. We won't be coming back anytime soon. I don't leave reviews often unless I'm super impressed or incredibly underwhelmed. Unfortunately, this is the latter. The ambiance was nice, the service ok... but the food? Are you kidding me? At these prices, I expect a pretty good meal. The food wasn't awful... if I was at a divey sports bar I'd be satisfied. But I took my wife here for a nice birthday dinner and was very disappointed. The branzino was the best part of the meal, but was just ok. The cioppino tasted like canned Manhattan clam chowder with seafood a a few days past its best by date, and the lobster Mac was three tiny pieces of lobster, tasteless noodles, very little cheese, and a ton of breadcrumbs. The crab cakes didn't have much crab or flavor. The spicy tuna and the fries were just ok. Creamed spinach...completely flavorless and greasy. And instead of bringing a tiny dessert or something for her bday, the waiter brought a plate with a candle... really? Oh, and after I wrote this review, I found that the food my waiter packed poured grease all over the paper bag it was in. Appreciate it all over my seats. I hate writing negative reviews because I am not a chef and cannot comprehend how hard it is to run a restaurant. But with so many great restaurants in Ft. This was our first time at Catch & Cut and we chose it for date night--great decision. We sat outside on the upstairs terrace, which was a beautiful setting. There was live music in the main living room that really set the tone and made it feel like the perfect happy hour and dinner spot. Overall, the space delivers on an elevated steakhouse vibe. We started with the Stone Crab Escargot, which our waiter said many guests refer to as "crack"--and I completely agree. It was absolutely addictive. We also ordered the Land & Sea roll, which was fresh, flavorful, and a great starter. For entrées, I had the ribeye steak. It was cooked perfectly temperature-wise and very enjoyable. I personally would've loved just a bit more seasoning or flavor, but it was still well-prepared and high quality. My husband ordered the lamb chops and let me just say--get the lamb chops. They were outstanding and easily one of the highlights of the meal. For sides, we shared the Brussels sprouts, which were phenomenal and more than enough for two people. We also ordered the lobster mac and cheese--delicious, but note that it's a true single serving. If you're thinking of sharing, you may want to order one per person. We were seated at a small round table by the bar. The seared tuna tataki was too salty, beautifully seared but not tasty. My husband loved his Allen Brothers steak. It was cooked to perfection. My Bronzino was in a coconut curry sauce, with a lovely presentation. It was delicious as well. It took a while to get out entrees but our server could not have been nicer. The only reason that I gave it a three star was that noise level was unbearable. There are constantly people cutting in between our tables and walking behind us. And it's not even that the people at the bar were talking so loud. They were just right on top of us . Just to see if it was where we were sitting that was so noisy, I walked all the way to the back to compare. Except for one secluded table on the side in the back, it was equally as noisy everywhere. I realize that it's new and it just opened and everybody wants to be there, but I don't think I'll be back. read more

Great steak! Excellent service! Waiter attentive and personal and clicked right away giving us personalized service to the table. I had a bone in rib eye and some of he best oysters I have had in Florida. This place has a good dining room and a decent actually impressive menu with lots of options that span from a seafood steak but also sushi sashimi options. I would not be disappointed coming here again. Great place in a trendy area to enjoy your time in Fort Lauderdale. read more

Outstanding in every way! Easy access with valet parking availability, the loveliest of hosts to welcome guests; beautiful, elegant , modern decor and a perfect floor plan. We first sat at the bar for wine/cocktails during happy hour--offering a great selection of wines, specialty drinks; but also, the bar menu was creative & delicious. Then, we moved to a table by the window for dinner. Our server, Anselm, was fabulous! His attention to detail and recommendations were perfect and the food, excellent. To our good fortune, we went during the "Dine out" event, so we ordered from that menu and each has 4 courses, so we got to try a variety of plates. This restaurant is now one of my favorites and we look forward to our next visit. Thanks for making it a memorable experience. read more

Sat at the bar and had the Bordeaux Blanc with the hamachi nigiri, the mussels (in a white sauce) and the C&C roll. Everything was incredibly delicious and fresh. It was a Sunday around 6:30 so the restaurant was naturally quiet because of the day. I loved it. Joe the bartender is the best!! The restaurant is also gorgeous !! read more
