After three coats, it looked nothing like what I requested and was basically a clear glitter polish. I also got my eyebrows waxed. The technician never asked how I wanted them shaped or cleaned up and just started waxing. When she finished, one eyebrow was noticeably thinner than the other. This was especially upsetting since I had engagement photos two days later. The pedicure was average, the nail color wasn't what I asked for, and my eyebrows were very uneven. I won't be returning.

Located in My Salon Suites in Henderson, Jenny has her own suite where she caters to 1 client at a time. You can have your own private mani/pedi without the bustle of a busy salon. She has treats, a TV, and a place for a companion to sit and wait. The space isn't huge but it's comfy! Additionally, she is quite easy to converse with.. and even if you want a nice quiet experience she definitely respects that. I even ordered some thai food because I was starving and she accommodated that. I've been coming to Jenny for over a year, usually only when I want gel nail art.. but when I do come, I always can count on my manicure to last at least 4-5 weeks- heck I got my nails done in mid-October 2018, went into labor end of November and managed to keep the nails until the first week of December. I specifically choose designs that grow out nicely. Her pedicures are thorough, relaxing, and she's able to remediate some issues you have-- for example, my toe nail cracked and she glued it down LOL. She has tons of colors to choose from and you can always bring in a design (which I like to search for on Instagram using #japanesenailart or #nailart) and she can copy it pretty well! Today I just wanted a simple manicure with regular polish. It was $30 for an appointment done in about 25 minutes. I sat in the chair at 2:43pm & finished at 3:09pm. After getting my nails done and walking out, I quickly realized I didn't like my nail color. I also noticed my nails were not fully cleaned of cuticle/dry spots & the original paint job & color was done poorly with paint left on my skin etc. Within 5 minutes I walked back in to the salon and asked for a color change. I received an attitude from the reception & when I asked her if they had a specific color I was looking for (OPI big apple red) she said whatever is there. I didn't see it so I picked out a new color, later asking the technician if they had it, and she said not in regular polish but only in Gel. (Very kind & simple response, and aware of the salon inventory of a popular color Big Apple Red & if they had it) Unfortunately though, a poorly done paint job. The polish is thick with bubbles, not fully coated with top coat. I'm not a "skilled technician" & could've done this better myself but I don't have polish with me on my trip. The pedicure service was extremely disappointing. The nail technician rushed through the entire appointment. He only cleaned under the nails on one foot, poured cuticle softener all over the top of my feet and lower legs, and did not properly remove the existing polish, buff my nails, or add anything to the water for a proper soak. The callus remover wasn't used during the service either. After the pedicure was essentially finished and the water had already been drained and lotion applied, I asked about the callus removal. He said he "forgot" and then attempted to do it afterward. Once I mentioned that I am a licensed cosmetologist, he insisted on doing the callus remover and refilled the tub, but there was still no proper soak. Because it was rushed, one foot was left noticeably rougher than the other. He then had to wash off the lotion to remove the callus treatment. The massage was also very rough and uncomfortable rather than relaxing. When I went to start the hard gel service, I asked the nail technician for the manager. She immediately asked why. When I explained that I wasn't happy with the pedicure, she responded with a sarcastic and dismissive attitude. She repeatedly said, "You're the nail tech for five years, you tell me what you want." I explained that I wanted the tip placed over my natural nails because I am growing them out and asked her not to cut them. She continued repeating that it would "look different in the back," even after I told her I was fine with that. She kept saying, "You're the nail tech, you should know," in a very antagonistic, unprofessional, and condescending tone. She also mentioned she has been a nail technician for 16 years but said she cannot do sculptured nails and only works with tips which to me is a failure if ur still stuck at the basics after almost 2 decades. I eventually spoke with the manager, who resolved the situation by adjusting the service and charging me only for a polish change, which I was fine with. However, the overall atmosphere was extremely unprofessional, and the experience was very unpleasant. Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend going somewhere else.
