Just had a great full shave with Daniel's daughter, Diana. She is gentle, careful, nice and highly skilled. I felt totally safe with her wielding a straight razor on my throat. Truly a great shave. Price is very fair. Only downside is that the very relaxing nature of a good pro shave was undermined by the noise. A few kids yelling, a few loud animated conversations between customers/friends, and loud over-dramatic music created a din. This review I hope the owner of this establishment reads. It could be so much more of a great business but staff's attitude and lack of staff keep it from being great. I have only come here once but I hear its packed all the time and the wait is usually long. Maybe an appointment option would be helpful so that people don't have to wait like 2 hrs just to get a 20 minute hair cut. I was also not happy with the fact that the guy "in charge" at the time was very rude to customers asking simple questions. yes, he was busy but its part of what the person "in charge" has to do. I was having my godson cut his hair and it was my turn and he had me wait for who was cutting my godsons hair which didn't make sense because they were going in "order" but he made that last minute decision on making me wait even longer. I've been coming to this barber shop for many years and I've gotten hair cuts from Daniel (the owner), his wife, and both of his sons. They all have different styles but recently I've been getting my cuts from Daniel's wife and she is really good at listening to you and doing exactly what you want. Their price is fair and each of them have their own price. The wife and Daniel usually charge me $13 but the sons charge $15. Be warned this barber has issues. My husband went here to try it out and after not being acknowledged or attended to he decided to leave. I guess the owner didn't like this because he came and knocked on his window and proceeded to tell him off for coming into his shop but not getting a haircut. My initial impression of this barbershop was lukewarm at best. The main barber/owner somewhat spaces out and is in his own little world which is fine. I believe he is a good barber from what I can tell. However, I stopped coming here because the wait times varied widely. I decided to start coming back because of a rave review from my brother who came here and received a great haircut. Unfortunately, the last time I was here a week ago I waited about 45 minutes which was no big deal but then he took a man who came in after me and had clearly made no prior appointment (based on their conversation in front of me in Spanish) and when he finished with his current customer asked him to sit on the chair. I simply looked at him hoping he would notice that I knew. He just doesn't seem to care. I ended up getting a haircut anyways which in this case was not really well done ... Some uneven hair... I'm confused with the service this man provides given that I know he's perfectly capable of providing good service but I just don't think he really cares enough to make a good impression on attracting more long term clientele or has enough of it and is scrapping by...
