    coffee cart

My fav coffee in Balboa Park! This little cart located in the spanish art village has coffee shop classics as well as teas, smoothies, matcha, and snacks. They have a good variety of alternative milks too. Today I tried the Iced Biscoff Latte and it was so good!! Can definitely see why it's a popular drink. They also have a little pastry case of which I indulged in a cheese danish I tend to like them cheesier than this but if you like a sweeeeet pastry, this one's for you! This cart tends to get busy but the wait is never too bad. At most you would probably spend 10 minutes here. It's next to a bunch of art shops and galleries so plenty to look at and peruse.

Coffee stand in Balboa Park near zoo exit

Stopped by this little coffee stand on our way out of the San Diego Zoo today. One of the employees at the zoo recommended it to us. The coffee was very good. I got a lavender latte and my man got a cold brew with vanilla cold foam. We also got an almond croissant, which was kind of weak. It was very dry like it was a day or two old, but I ate it because I was super hungry. The coffee stand is really cute. It's in the Spanish village portion of Balboa Park. I would definitely return.

Walking around Balboa Park and my husband saw Daniel Coffee. Saw that they had Acai bowl. We were sold! Then, we saw that they had biscoff latte! We waited in line to get 2 bowl of acai and 2 biscoff latte. Sooo good! Worth the wait. It was just what we needed. Daniel Coffee is located in the Art Village in Balboa Park. You get to enjoy Coffee while looking at surrounding art work!

Spent my day at Balboa Park and Daniels Coffee was my first stop to grab a good beverage to get my day started. Nice coffee cart in the Spanish ally of Balboa park where you can also scope the great art surrounding the coffee cart while you wait or after your drink is ready. The service was quick and the workers were nice. I got the Crimson Surge, nice refreshing energy beverage topped with a whipped foam; I will be ordering again for my next visit.

Daniel's Coffee is the one of the few, if not the only, coffee spots in Balboa Park. It's a cute coffee cart located in the colorful Spanish Village Art Center that offers a variety of creative drinks. I got the lavender chai, and it was soso good! There were so many other drinks I wanted to try, so looks like I'll have to go back for more. Even the worker at the botanical garden told us to try the drinks there, so that's how you know it's good. Try this place out! That way you can have a tasty drink while browsing the cute art shops there.

Cheesecake gelato! Real quality ingredients. Highly recommended.

Wow!! The team at Daniel's is super friendly, knowledgeable, polite, accommodating! And to top it off their menu is extensive! Coffee drinks, acai bowls, pastries, gelato and so much more! Espresso is on spot and local! No wonder why they have the best reviews and ratings at Balboa Park. Favorite local and. It to be missed when you visit as a tourist.

Iced biscoff crumble ($7.5) & Strawberry matcha with cream top
    Allison L.

I heard their matcha was good so I dropped by while at Balboa Park! I got the strawberry matcha and added the cream top. Unfortunately I wasn't a fan, the matcha flavor was completely overpowered by the strawberry puree and it was a little sweet even for a sweet tooth like me. It just tasted like strawberry with no matcha at all. The service was fast though and the price and sizing is decent. The area is cute and there's a few tables to sit. Maybe I would give their regular matcha another chance when I'm in the area

Iced biscoff crumble and strawberry matcha with cold foam

Heard good things about this so I came by while at Balboa Park and their coffee did not disappoint! I ordered the iced biscoff crumble and it was delicious! Nicely sweet and strong and the cold foam with biscoff crumbles was a great touch! My sister ordered the strawberry matcha with cold foam but it was unfortunately too sweet and the strawberry taste completely overpowered the matcha. Service was quick and the area is cute to hang out at the Spanish Village Art Center. I would stop by again for their coffee if I'm back!

Had these coffees when visiting Balboa Park and the Biscoff one they had was delicious! 10/10

Cute little place in Spanish village. They have chairs and tables around that you can sit at. I ordered the mint mocha. It was delicious! It was ready super fast and I got it hot. I loved it. I would stop here and get something else if I were in the area!

Looked up the nearest coffee shop to our hotel and saw Daniels Coffee had great reviews on Yelp. Had no clue it was just a coffee stand.. but it didn't matter! Amazing coffee with plenty of seating in the beautiful outdoor area of the Spanish art village. There was a decent line.. proving they make legit coffee. I ordered the honey cinnamon latte. Amaaaazing. Just the right amount of honey & cinnamon flavor while still tasting the coffee. Loved it! Highly recommend!

This has been and will always be my favorite place whenever I'm in San Diego. It's such a beautiful location with friendly people. We recently stopped by during our visit to SD and I wasn't sure if they still made Thai tea (it's been a few years since we moved to AZ) so when I asked the gentleman who help me said they didn't make it which is okay so I just ordered a regular chai. However on our way back to our car we were passing the botanical garden and the same gentleman who help us stop me with a Thai Tea!! In his hand. He made my day. Thank you sir for finding Thai tea and finding us.

Strawberry matcha green tea & gingerbread latte
    Fateha A.

3/5 Strawberry Matcha was okay. The matcha can be stronger. 3/5 Gingerbread latte was good, but the gingerbread flavor is a bit lacking. Waited forever cuz they got my name completely wrong & called the wrong name. Apparently, it happens all the time cuz it's loud cuz of the music.

Is there a menu with current prices?

Do you still offer whipped coffee?

If we parked at the zoo parking area, how can we find this place?

Walk south towards village place it's located in Spanish village. So just ask how to get to Spanish village. (It's literally next to parking).

Want to make sure if they serve iced vanilla lattes?

Yes we do. We serve iced everything. Thanks so much!

It's tucked into a cute neighborhood near Logan Heights. We came around 9 a.m., and street parking was easy to find. There was already a line when we arrived, but it moved pretty quickly. The baristas were friendly and welcoming, and I thought the prices were really reasonable for San Diego. I ordered the black sesame matcha, and my husband got the Piloncillo. The matcha was creamy, rich, and not overly sweet, which I really appreciated. One thing to know if you're ordering matcha or a latte--they only offer oat milk, not almond milk. My husband loved his coffee and said the espresso was smooth, flavorful, and let the coffee shine without being overcomplicated. The shop itself is really cool too. There's an art installation inside, an outdoor patio with additional seating, and I noticed quite a few people picking up bags of espresso beans while we were there. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and would definitely come back.

Artwork is very beautiful and fits the Barrio Logan scene perfectly. I arrived with nobody inside the business minus the workers, you had maybe 2 people outside enjoying the scenery and their drinks. Not greeted upon entering the business just gave me that stare with not asking if I had any questions. I dont recall his name but he was very skinny, curly hair or wavy and i believe he had braces, but not sure if he was having a bad day but something wasn't all there. I ordered 2 drinks, I forget the other but it had cinnamon on top. The drinks were just hand on the counter without saying which drinks is which, so i asked which one is which. Didn't hear me, so i kinda said again and he pointed them out not in a nice or rude way but the approach of how it was handled was not friendly. How can you have Mazapán without the Mazapán crumbles which are very iconic to the drink. I just found it super strange and did not care for it. The cinnamon based drink was good tho, which I'll give them that. Experience could have been better.

Wait outside on the sidewalk (no exterior seating) and someone will come to take you inside. Do not ring the door bell. The theme is to take it slow. Each customer typically waits 20-30 minutes to enter as part of how they do things, even if there is open seating inside. Not sure if they use a timer to space entries but it seems consistent. They take one group in at a time. Interior: A few tables around the wall and then bar seating. Would not recommend for parties greater than 2, there just isn't the space. They welcome service animals, babies/children and strollers from what I observed. The music was very, very loud. It was difficult to hold a conversation. I did not see a bathroom. Ordering process: After seating you wait for a little bit for them to bring small water cups and a QR menu with a table number and a set of rules. They do not have a physical menu, you must use your phone to order. Cell phone reception was dicey and took a long time to load. They have an interesting concept where you have a digital 'tab' open on their toast website. Unfortunately you must provide your full name, email and phone number. They have pour over drinks (note these can take 15-20 minutes), matcha, Hojicha and others. You may only order one drink per person at a time. They have a small snack menu with rotating foods. They use oat milk only. No substitutions allowed. After mobile ordering, drinks take 20-30 minutes as part of their take it slow vibe. Matcha $8 is from Paru tea and was very good. Hojicha $8 was too milky and didn't have a strong enough flavor. When you are done you walk to the register by the door and wait to be checked out. If they are making a drink you wait until they are finished. I wasn't really a fan. Staff were brusque. Music was too loud to converse.

Pandan sticky rice milk and mango puree were added to the matcha and topped with a salted coconut foam. I wasn't a fan of the foam, but the matcha flavor was intense and contrasted by the fruity puree on the bottom of the cup. I also heard from another customer that the Thai coffee had a slight mocha taste to it which I thought was interesting. I'm indifferent to powdered taro milk teas, although this one in particular, I did not enjoy. It was thick and sludgy, with an undertone of medicine reminding me of pepto bismol.
